‘Sour Plum with Asam’ is one of their signature drink in the shop that they use the whole fruit to blend it in.
The food for the night was arrange by the owner and the first that came out was ‘Coffee Chicken Wings’. It was bbq very flavourful with coffee as the meat is very soft and juicy with a bit sweet and bitter taste, yet well coated with the coffee flavour. Some might find it sweet and some find it to their likings. For me, I lurve it. RM 8.90
A vegetable that fried with wok hei yet it was served hot taste so good that I nearly finish half of the plate myself with a bit sour and spicy, ‘Fried Paku Pakis with Sambal’ (S) RM9.00 (M) RM13.50 (L) RM 18
’3 Flavour Prawns’ that serve big in size, that 3 taste combine very well, sour, sweet and spicy and eat it with rice, is just perfect. (S) RM 19 (M) 28 (L) RM 38
One of my favourite dish of the night was ‘Nyonya Chicken’. The chicken was fried first then only add in the sauce to fried along, as it was sour yet a bit spicy that comes to my liking. (S) RM 10 (M) RM 15 (L) RM 20
One of the unique dish that I came accross for the first time is ‘Tofo Choy Boh’, with the toufo cafefully fried on the outer layer till its crispy and inside is very soft, top with choy boh on top of it to bring the extra kick in it.
‘Fried Sotong’ that been deep fried perfectly till the crust is very thin in layer yet the squid is very chewy showing the sign of freshness and a nyonya sauce serve along, it must dip with the sauce to get the best out of it. (forgot to take pic of the sauce) (S) RM10 (M) RM 15 (L) RM 20
One of the in house best seller is ‘White Tomyam Steam Fish’. When the fish was served and after taking pictures, me and CK instantly take our spoon to taste on the soup base, and the taste is awesome, sour till a level yet the spicyness only kick in our taste bud. Since that I keep drinking on the soup till CK said that, it is good ah…I only know how to nod on that time. Fish meat is soft and the sauce had soak into the meat till make it very flavourful. Last dish of the night is ‘Sarawak Laksa’. RM11.90
The vermicelli is a bit solid but cook in this to ensure that it does not soak the soup into it, it was very lemak, abit sour yet add in the chili and squeeze in a lime, it just taste wonderful.
Travelling all the way here for the food had paid off with such a unique restaurant that served good food (do come on weekdays to get the best quality of the food), yet the pricing is reasonable, we also had a good chat with Desmond on of the owner and get to know that if you would want to go during weekend, please call in to made a reservation as they do have alot of their regulars, that they treat all their customer as their friend.
As father’s day is coming up, this is certainly a good restaurant to bring our parents here. Definately I am going to bring my parents when they visit KL that a place I am highly recommending~

The food really nice and very home feel when dining at this restaurant. Not to mention the entertainment for veterans.

No doubt The Bird is a unique restaurant with its old photos on the walls and memorabilia, but I think your photos you took flatter this restaurant. I found the restaurant rather dingy and dirty.
I ordered their set lunch, and it was good though not exceptional. However, I made a mistake by going to their toilet and found it dirty. The toilet walls were also decorated with almost nude, girlie pictures. Are the owners trying to encourage their patrons to play with themselves in the toilet?
Today was my first and last visit.

I am forty, but it doesn’t matter if I’m 4, 40, or 400 years old. When the owners place such pictures in a public toilet, it sends out the wrong message. No one would look at those pictures and think, “Wow, such a retro decoration!”
Try putting such pictures in your own toilet or bedroom, and your friends and family members will give a dirty look for certain.

A week , we already have eaten for 4 days to The Bird restaurant……I intro my colleague go and eat , they also like it……(^.^)/ even child also like it….. Delicious!!! =)

I come later again………. =) with my all colleague……….. Funny is this morning when my colleague saw me then said ” today lunch go the bird restaurant ” ……… =D i said deal ! hahahahaha…….
last few days , i with my best friend come here , and intro her where is my company , then she said ” here have the 1 restaurant the butter king very nice , i said ” ya , i always go eat ” , she said “nxt time lunch find me go together the bird restaurant……….” =) happy to hear that………. coz lst time bcoz of misunderstand we no more talking , but now we nothing and still is best friend………
