One of the reason that visited this buffet was my dad saw some blogger post that circulate in email and he had been asking us to come for the past 2 months since it had open till now we decided to come along.

It is very interesting to see how the whole new concept that they have build to another brand with very Japanese exterior and interior. ..

You can be seated in a few sections, this is a private room that can host up to 10 pax and you have to remove your shoes and put outside.

this section would be their outdoor area. . .

as me and my family was quickly seated, I walk around the whole restaurant to check out what is there to offer.

The range of food that they offer is pretty interesting. One of the best is not to miss on their homemade, fish, sotong and pork ball. . .

Fresh Oyster, Salmon with huge piece, scallop are all in this fridge for you to finish. Another fridge with lots types of seafood, for you to choose from.

This would be the best section to me with variety of meat to offer. I have tried all the meat and those lamb, lean pork, pork bacon, korean style pork are the one you must look out for. . .

Soft drinks counter and you just need to request a glass with ice in it.

Desert counter.

Variety of sauces available as one of the reason that, you are going to mix and learn to cook on the  on with their grill charcoal stove on your table.

We ask on the waiter what soup is good and he recommend that most customer would opt to try their signature soup which is the clear soup base ‘Shabu Shabu’ (昆布柴魚湯)

In your table you will be provided with this utilities for you to play with . .

My meat plate..wakkaka~ and more that I have had till my parents surrender.

What is so unique about this whole new concept is that they have this charcoal grill stove smack right in the table for you to bbq your dish. Most of the meat or things available are already pre marinated and now you will look like a cool Japanese chef in training.

put all the item that you would want on this grill and just turn around as you want.

You can put your huge chunk of salmon, prawns and other seafood to cook along.

and this is what happen to our pot of shabu shabu, as my mom loves it.

Each table will come with all these few basic ingredients, one of the reason if you do dine in Teppanyaki restaurant you see those chef add on those pepper and salt, now you are your own chef to do it and play around with these to make your food tastier.

This are the Opening promotion that they have now, and if you can really eat and do not mind getting fat, join their Supper happy hour which is Buy one Buffet at Regular Price and 2nd person 50% which is really worth it.

Among many buffet out there, certainly I am recommending this to go with its price smack on at RM48++ that comes to about RM55 per head that offer lots of seafood and meat for you to eat on. Having great sessions with friends I am looking forward to come back for another round.

Food taste is pretty good and did not disappoint us.

***Remark you need to spend at least 2 hours to eat cuz of the grill time it takes to cook. Me and my family find that 2 hours is not enough cuz we went for late lunch as they were to close for that hour.

A restaurant that will cater many people that they have actually taken up about 2 shoplot that offer lots of space.

Their business is quite good as when we left all the tables outside were taken out.

For me I still prefer to have my steamboat inside with some air condition if not I will be drench in sweat.

An advantage of this outlet is that they do offer bbq section with chicken wings. . .

BBQ Seafood like crab, sting ray, satay, prawns and squid.

On the inside for you to choose to hammer inside your soup base quite a selection of fish ball. . .

Seafood lovers this section certainly is your choice with many types of seafood for you to choose from.

There are 5 soup base for you to choose from . . .as was told by one of the staff that Fish Head soup is one of the preferred by customer.

We tried on the Tom Yam Soup and Umami Chicken soup. Both of the soup turns out to be better than alot of places that we have tried before. . .

As for desert they do have jelly and Ice Cream to offer you  . .

Overall, with about total RM30 per head I find it quite okay on pricing and quality. If you ask me to choose, I would opted for other choices but if you plan to have a great steamboat range, Umami can be one of the choice in my list as I have tried others which is much worst that I don bother even to blog about it.

On the up side, this outlet is pork free that I see a few malay families dine in here.

I am keen to try out another outlet in Wangsa Maju as I was told by a friend that they over a very good range and cheap too. Will arrange to go luuu . . .

To mark this, One World Hotel had invited children’s from underprivileged home , The House of Joy which is located in PJ alongside with their staff for the Hotel’s light up Ceremony.

The hotel will also launch its Grant-A-Wish programme to fulfill the Christmas wish of 30 children from the House of Joy.  The children from the home will be hanging up their wish list on the 20-feet Christmas Tree at the hotel lobby.  The good news is that all the children’s wishes have been fulfilled by the hotel staff itself.

In Jogoya, if you are a VIP member, you get to try out some special food selection compare to other normal diners as they reward more exclusive range that will be given a certain numbers of special receipt to clip on and drop to the bowl.

As 3 years ago, this restaurant also offer one of the finest quality in buffet spread as overall they fare pretty well. As time pass, I wanted to visit this place again, alot people told me that their standard drop had then stop me from re-visiting not until recently, friends came down from Penang and requested that they wanted to dine in here. So, here we go again on coming here enjoying this buffet.

Their interior design of the place is very cozy, filled with hard cement flooring, filled with wooden chairs and tables… Dim orange lights are shine towards each individual tables that provide you a cozy dining experience.

Its a section that house many Japanese eateries, Japanese products and some house hold goods for you to explore. After they have open quite a while, this is my first time being here. . . .

Under this section, the whole area is filled with Japanese ambiance with their look and feel of all those outlets.

The outlets that are in the middle section are all mostly build with Japanese wooden concept, and lanterns at the side of the shop.

Most of the restaurant here sell fusion food  . ..

As for this round, we are trying out this outlet that offer buffet spread which is Suki-Ya : Eat all you can Sukiyaki & Shabu Shabu, which is more like a Japanese Steamboat. . .

The ambiance is not bad that is pretty well design that if you come in big group they can combine all the tables for you in one section.

Sauce wise is pretty limited in selection . . .

Healthy bar that offer a good selection’s of greens to be put into shabu shabu . .

There are only 3 choices of soup available, Shabu-Shabu which is more like a clear soup and I heard the table next to me mention that the soup is tasteless. . .then we opt for Sukiyaki and Kimchi Soup.

Among the 3, Sukiyaki is the best as the taste of the soy is pretty strong which reflects to the original taste I had before, not too salty and its quite aromatic. .  Recommended among those 3. . For Kimchi, under Japanese restaurant.. not as good as you tried in those Korean restaurant. So close one eye .. .

Then on the paper they teach you all the steps how do you do the best shabu shabu out ..

We opt for the healthy options and pour everything in . . .

Then you get free flow of thin slice, Lamb, Beef and Chicken . . .The best of all is Lamb follow by Chicken then Beef as the beef slice I find it taste funny or we rate it as a low grade beef slice!

For beef slice, its pretty simple and quick that you just take a slice and dip it for about 10 seconds then its done . .

Then we had the sauce as the Sesame sauce is GOOD that you must request and normally I eat most of my food with their special homemade chili sauce.. A bit sour, chopped with lots of garlic and a bit spicy, that pair well with all the meat that I have. ..

My friend taught that, take a raw egg and stir it well, then after the meat had cook, dip it and eat along with any sauce it just perfect!

Then would let you finish off with Ice cream . .

The service here is good as they have alot of staff on duty and our slices of meet constantly got refill and the best part is the manager drop by and ask you, do you want more refill which we had raise white flag as this would be the first time that the staff ask do you want more!

For a price like this, I would say its a buffet spread that worth a try as it only allow you to enjoy 2 hours dinning which is far more than enough.

Mosiac with its elegant interior reflecting the Pernanakan Culture with its collaborative finishing, with customise flooring, intricate hanging pewter lights.

I just love the whole interior of the place, makes it a perfect posh place for dining.

Cushion section is comfortable that can fit easily 5 person like a club area that gives you a feel like privacy in this area.

I must say, they got a great selection of food in their buffet spread ranging from Italian, local, Japanese, Indian and a few more other choices, that lead by Chef de Cuisine Chef Raymond Abour Jeily.  

I always start my buffet with greens first and I am amaze with their wide selection of veggie, dressing, and types of oil for you to play and mix around on your salad. I am enjoying this section very much that makes me go 2 rounds before I hit the mains.

Japanese section is all fresh, from oyster, to sushi and smoked salmon.

On their offering of North Indian Cuisine, are well cook with the curry are not too watery which is just thick enough to go along with Tandoori chicken, lamb, prawn with naan.

Another section that I like with available meat to choose from, lamb, and beef is my preferred choice .

For their grill section, again I still prefer their lamb and beef, another thing must not miss is the cheeze sausage.

Like on their Italian range with both bologna and white sauce all cook in the way as I like.

 Asian soupy section.

 Comes to desert, this is one hugeeee macaroons

This desert section looks one of the coolest of all on how they display the desert in this drawer concept that makes everything look so good!

By the end of the night, I was full to the max as most of the food here are nice, and I would say that the buffet spread offering here in terms of quality are much better than a few places that I have tried so far. Price wise will be:

Cinnamon Coffee house is one of my favourite buffet place is that, you cant really find all section consistent in quality and with the amount I am paying this sure gives me the worth every penny feel with the huge selection and international mixture they have in there.

For this round, One World Hotel kick start off with the theme Selera Kampung-Ku and with that classic theme, they manage to get one great chef to prepare this sumptuous spread of home cooked favourites like Nasi minyak sari shawal, kari daging tetel berkentang, ayam masak rendang raya, ikan tenggiri goreng belada, udang sambal petai hirisan and many others to hunt for.

Cheeze lovers, you do have cheeze platter for you to get your favourite cheeze to get on started.

Their Italian range always never fail to impress as I like their carbonara, its quite nice and I always sprinkle mine with lots of cheeze at the end of it. Their tomato base sauce is good too . .

you can choose what types of spaghetti you prefer.

the Pizza is infuse with local flavour with Rendang Pizza and Satay Piza.

If you like many flavours to your food, this section allow you to mix and match your own creation and if you mix more than that you might end having discomfort in your tummy. .

This round, their local flavours are very good, as the taste of it is quite authentic and goes along with rice very well . .

Their signature is this Lamb Beryani, I always love the part at the bone there and will request the chef to specially cut it for me.

they have black peper sauce and dal for you to go along with your lamb and of course the mint sauce next to it.

This is the first section that I usually attack when I come to this buffet. Their Japanese range is very impressive.

Grill Salmon

Their very fresh section filled with clamps, crab, prawns and oyster. Their oyster is always up in grab and always gone in seconds.

This area is for you to play around with your food that you can actually take veggie and mix it around with the flavours available.

Then you head to their local snacks and indian section as the serve pretty decent food, chicken satay to look out for and the lamb murtabak.

Noodle Section that have soup version, mee goreng, char koey teow, tomyam, nasi goreng kampung and some others.

 Yong Tau Fu

 Tempura section. . .

Further behind at the end you will find another section filled with more east coast malaysia food  .. .

Their roti jala with curry chicken is superb..not to miss out . .

 Pulut, nasi dagang, and nasi kunyit

you will be pamper with huge selection of kuih-muih too . .

Chocolate fondue and fruits section . . TEh tarik is aalso another stall not to be miss and remember to request less sweet, as the original we find it too sweet.

This round I decided to go more premium as last round I just thought that the max was only RM15 and last night get to discover that RM20 you eat more premium quality durian such as Udang Merah and others that those durians can cost RM12-RM15 per kg easily . . without much hesitation direct jump to that. . . and ask them start opening the durians. .RM 20 durian buffet for this round . ..

I must say that durian on this round taste much better compare to what I had but according to Jolyn n Lyn when they came by as they dine the RM15 they find it much better as to me I find this is much better compare to last round . . I guess seasonal durian makes different taste in each batch. .

Last night, I had most of the durian better quality in its meat more solid, a bit milky, not too sweet yet you can eat alot bitter ones, there are mixture of yellowish and fair mild creamy colour  . .  not so watery base meat . .

Feeq is another hardcore durian fans as when the durian was open and right infrot of him or I would say right after this photoshoot he just whack the durians like no tomorrow and so fast. . .ko’ed after 20 minutes later. .

*remarks – durians are not meant to eat fast as you eat too fast its hard to digest and feel abit bloated.

Today, Jolyn is on a mission that she want to filled the whole basket at least..  .and her mission complete? scroll till the end. . . .

Every one happily eating the durian and great to see all stranges talking in one table just because of durians .. .

This guy is one of the best guy that he usually serve us. . and he is funny. . also with another guy..

Verdict: did itu Jolyn Cheah manage to fill up the whole basket ? well, actually she did, not her, is we.. for a pax of 8 ppl we filled 1 basket n another quater of it . .as shown in the pics are 2nd basket arleady . .:D

This is Jolyn Cheah with her very happy durian in her mouth, that she is a very simple person to cheer, when she is sad just buy her durians, she will go hyper and make you happy. .wakkakaka~ :p

Might have ROUND 3 coming up.. just don know when..of course wont be this 2 weeks, as I had too much durians in a row . .need to take a break . .

Results: we are satisfied with it . .no complain and looking forward to come again . .

Sarakwak Laksa is not to be miss. . . .

When I reach to this stall, I am amazed to see so many of the ingredient being added into one, and the chef asked me do you want normal spicy or spicy spicy? I asked: is it very spicy? Yess..Indeed it is.. So I go for normal Spicy.

Super spicy Umai Udang, taste good with the mixture of all the ingredient and normal spicy really makes me speechless and those of you who really love spicy stuff.. this is something you must try.

I find that Sarawak Laksa is really good, a bit more ‘lemak’ and using bee hoon and don add on ‘Heh Ko’ in it.

The buffet spread is available for lunch at RM68++ for adult and RM45++ for child (below 12 years old) and dinner RM75++ and RM45++ for child (below 12 years old). Paya Serai opens from 12 noon till 3pm for lunch and 7pm till 10.30pm for dinner.
