Christmas 2008 has been a wonderfull Christmas in my life. Got a very sweet memory with my closest friend. You know who you are. Everything has been just perfect, sweet, laughter, sad and rough yet got curse. Surprisingly got small surprise from you and you are disappointed also. I will promise that there are more surprise to be given out. Just hold your breath and enjoy the upcoming time. A wonderful friend like you is a blessed. Will just cherish our friendship till the end. Have a very wonderful Christmas.

Christmas was around the corner, me and my friends decided to have a better dinner so me and Lys chose Sentidos Tapas a Spanish restaurant at Starhill. The restaurant ambiance is not bad. The pricing is expected as we are eating at StarHill. This restaurant definitely good for a drink and also to catch soccer also for those who are into football.

We ordered 2 starter, start of with this Lamb Meatballs. Does not taste nice, the meet is hard and there is not much taste in the meet yet it is a bit overcook. So BANNED on this dish cost RM16.
This starter is Fried Octopus. The nicest compare to the other stupid lamb ball. The taste of the octopus is nice with its friend smell is there, just nice and juicy with the octopus smell definitely similar like what you can get in Japanese restaurant. This also cost RM16
This is our main dish Chicken Paella. It is something like nasi Berayni. A bit different from that, as has strong smell of Green paper which is dislike, but the rice definitely taste good. The wok is hot, therefore you have to stir it quite like claypot rice. Satisfying dish. Cost RM 44. Not a very big portion though.
This is my favourite of the night. It is Fettuccini Funghi. For me I would rate it is Fettuccine Carbonara. The cream is think and milky. Just nice for the Fettuccine and enough chezzie but not enough of the gravy. If they add a little more would be perfect. Creamy and Cheezy..Yum!!!!

After the dinner is the pressie exchange time!!!

This is what Jason got for his Christmas gift exchange cute Paul Frank

This is what Lara got delicious Godiva Chocolate.

Lyssa got a mystery gift with nice wrapping.
My mystery gift and a Christmas card.
OMG!!! This is what I got for the gift. A Canon EF 75-300mm lens. When I opened it with my eyes so big nearly popping out, I could not believe what I have got. Just a perfect Christmas gift for me. Thanks to you!! Really really love it alot!!! Thaaaankkksssss!!!!! Just a wonderful Christmas by having You and all of you.
Total bill for the dinner is RM130
The service was bad. The waiter and waitress were like snail and yet blind. Could not see us wave our hand. Have to call. Bad rating for the workers there.

Went to snap some pictures for the remaining mall that I have not went.
Definately I like this the most. Totally have the whole Circus feel at Mid Vally and also to congratulate you have won the best Christmas Decoration for the second year in a row.

The christmas deco at The Gardens
Christmas Deco at KLCC.
Christmas Deco at The Curve. Did not manage to snap on the indoor as I was late there after dinner.

My office is having a Christmas party on the 23rd. The requirement was every one have to buy a present for the other person you have drawn in random. The give must be in between RM20-RM25. To me, I drawn a person whom I did not know and she is an intern. So I just grab a chocolate. Get myself my own rapping paper. Wrap and wrap and wrap..Tadaaaa….on own creation.

Then this is the Christmas tree in my office where every one have to put their present under it.

Hee, found my present from whom I still do not know. It is quite big.

My present after I the present exchange.
Shit!!! It is a soft toy. I thought it was a pillow. At least I can use on my chair. Found out who gave me. Thanks Fairuz!!! but still have no idea why you gave me this little Alligator. Do I look like one?
What the hell I got chosen to be Santa on that day. This is me in Santa outfit. WTF!!! Only realise that it was not easy to pretend to be one. Just ignore the stomach. It is fake. The central heating got cut off at 7pm. So can you imagine I am roasting behind the suits. Anyway, suppose to blog this beginning of the week but could not find time on it. Just to wish every 1 of you
Merry Christmas
&
Happy New Year

This trip back to Penang I have not much time to hunt back my favourite food but manage to go for my favourite restaurant. Bali Hai @ Gurney. They had a few signature dish that I always would order. For those who are going to Penang for this festive season, MUST not miss this nice restaurant because they do serve fresh seafood, instead of most of the time, penangites will drive to Tambun for fresh seafood. This restaurant is another alternative.

This is the reastaurant outlook where you drive passby, will attract your attention because of its crowd and also their decoration as there are a few tables uniquely decorate and isolated from other table with the like of kampung, atap style infront of the restaurant.

This is whereby they store all the fresh seafood’s.

Fresh lobster good in shasimi and cheeze baked. Mouth watering…..

More options to choose from, if you do not know how to choose fresh, just Tembak lah!!! or ask the person to assist~

This restaurant is usually damm packed on the weekend. If you decided to go around weekend or public holidays, the best time to reach is before 7.30pm. Easy parking inside the restaurant and easy table to get. If you reach after 8pm, ermmm..you can expect to wait a bit.
This is what me and my parents had ordered, Kam Hiong Lala(longer version)’ Actually, this does not goes well with longer version and not a good combo of kam hiong with this. Usually I ordered in fried with chilies. Trying new taste. Definitely I ate most of it because of the nice taste. The lala also fresh.
This is their ‘Signature Taufu. Definitely must try. Inside the taufu are stuffed with small prawns or what we call ‘heh bi'(hokkien) and it is fried and abit salty. It is very soft in the inside and very nice aroma of the ‘heh bi’, goes very well if you are eating with rice.

Wah!!! This is definitely my favourite dish. ‘Wong Kam Har(prawn)’ Whatever with Wong Kam defiantly taste nice. The lady ask us to try with the prawn after peel the skin. So decided to go along with it. But definitely does not really taste as nice with prawn with their shell. So therefore do not request to ask them to remove the prawn shell. Taste better with it. You can ask them to do ‘Wong Kam Crab’ and Wong Kam something something. It is also nice.

The taste of it, is just similar what I eat back in Melbourne, Chinatown which is the restaurant is called Desert House. Lol. For those who are in Melbourne you should know.

The taste of the Wong Kam is rich with century egg, butter smell, and when you lick it, the taste of butter and the century egg will just stick on your tongue and slowly melt. With saltiness yet the ‘harumness‘ of the taste kam hiong leaves, you must just not miss this.

This is another one of my favourite dish. ‘Curry Fish Head’. One of their signature also but to much disappointment, this usually I ordered it was very fresh and the curry is nice. Tonight, everything does not goes well, the curry taste weird like put in the fridge overnight and reheat it, the fish head is not fresh whereby the meat is hard. It is suppose to be soft and easy to slice it. Definitely I do complain ‘kau kau‘ to the captain.

This restaurant worth to go, cuz they do have first class service, 3 table to 1 waiter/waitress. When ever your plate is dirty, they will directly change for you to a new plate. Five star service you can expect and the waiter and waitress there are definitely friendly. Suits my dad cuz he loves to talk alot to people.

If you had not a fresh seafood on that night, please do complain, as we do get RM40 off on our bill, whereby we just paid around RM96 after complain of the curry fish head. Cuz customer is their priority.

Location:

This restaurant is Located along Gurney whereby it is in the middle of that stretch.

If you coming from Gurney Hotel(left) go straight and after you see Pelita Mamak, slow down. It is nearby there

If you are coming from Gurney Plaza(right) you will have to past Silverton Condo, and bout 300Meter, it is just nearby there.

After looking at KL shopping mall decoration and decided to hunt for how is Penang Mall Christmas Decoration, and when I arrived at Gurney Plaza, to much dissapointment the theme is like ‘OMG’, ‘WTF’ Power Rangers?!! SHIT!!! What does they theme have to do with Christmas? When saw it, totally ‘si pek DOWN’.

The interior of Gurney Plaza with the Theme Power Rangers and Special appearence of Power Rangers.

At least still manage to gain back someting with Christmas Tree infront of the main entrance.
This is the Christmas Decoration at QueesBay Mall, Penang. I guess Penang this time, the mall has decided to go for cartoon and superhero’s character. At least this was not so down compare to Gurney Plaza.
