牛摩 Wagyu More is a brand from Hong Kong and did make a huge buzz during their opening at The Gardens KL. IT is a hotpot place that offer buffet style or eat all you can starting from RM 36.80 onwards.  Serving you with variety of beef, pork, chicken and vegetables with hot food, sushi, meatballs, drinks and desserts.

Did tried twice to walk in and was told fully booked. So we have to call for reservation. Calling 1 week in advance and was told it is all fully book only left 10am. So decided to give it a try and was told, walk in will take about average 2 hours waiting time.

There are 8 types of soup ranging from : Kombu, Sukiyaki, Miso, Tomato, Pork Bone, Spicy Pork Bone, Kimchi and Japanese Curry. We order Kimchi and Sukiyaki.

Both soup are so so only. Personally think Kimchi could been better and sukiyaki is lack of flavour.

For diners whom wish to have more premium meat then Wagyu More also serves three Premium Buffets (All Day) that are bound to further elevating customers’ dining experience:

  1. Spanish Iberico Pork Buffet at RM98.80++
  2. Australian Wagyu Buffet at RM148.80++
  3. Japanese A5 Wagyu Buffet at RM388.80++

For children below the age of 12 and within the height of 90cm – 120cm will enjoy a 50 percent off for all packages.

Overall, the steamboat is not too bad as would not stay it is fantastic. The time limit of dining is 120 minutes. For the price I am paying, I will opt for Suki-ya or Mikoshi at Uptown.

I have always love steamboat and best of all, who does’nt love an Eat All you Can in Mikoshi Shabu Shabu Restaurant at RM 28+ lunch at Damansara Uptown. This will definitely be one of the top competitor for my another favourite Buffet Shabu shabu as an another alternative.

understand from the manager that it owned by Japanese and their concept is quite similiar to what they have in Tokyo. Hence this is a duplication with localise infusion for our local market.

as you walk into the outlet, you will be greeted with typical classic Japanese concept sundry shop. With cotton candy machine, classic sweets, face mask hanging on the walls and slow Japanese songs to make the ambiance perfect!

there are a few variety of soup available and top choices are Sukiya, Spicy Miso, Green Curry and Ginger. As for me, their sukiya soup base is enough to kill (you get to choose mild or heavy taste).  Love the solid saltiness from the soy base flavour with mid sweet end to my liking.

Besides that, Mikoshi Shabu Shabu meat is top notch especially they have ox tongue, and finely cut chicken (which i would rarely hit on and this is pretty good), pork slices, fish, lamb and beef. Lamb is much better than beef for my personal preference.

After bathing your meat in the hot broth, just dip into this 2 sauce to get the maximum flavour of it.

If you are still feeling hungry after all this, then the finale is to get a bowl of rice, spring onion, soy sauce and kampung egg. Break the egg into the bowl, add spring onion and add soy sauce. just eat it like that.

Now, Korean restaurant do not only mushroom in Solaris /Mont Kiara area as they are growing every where. Recent discovery that I found in Sri Petaling is Hwa Ga Korean BBQ that is offering All you can eat deal buffet at RM 39++.

Located same row as Inside Scoop, this outlet signage is in Korean which is not easy for you to eye on if you were really trying to find this place. However they are in etween Tea live and Inside Scoop and it is a corner lot.

There are constant surprise in Korean food as they are also evolving. Narungji Tongdak is one of the latest item being introduce in Korea and also known as one of the latest hype. It is actually a very classic recipe that infuse with moden craze such as Cheese. Inside the chicken is filled with glutinous rice, black rice, ginseng, jujube dates, gingko nuts, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds, barley and garlic.

Carefully charcoal grill for few hours to ensure the chicken is cook inside out yet remain its juiciness.

After the process, it will be place on a hot stone and further cook for another 10-15 minutes with other ingredient along with cheese.Classic is Nurungji Yangpa Dak @ RM 65 Topped Onions Grilled Chicken with Scorched Rice.

There are more than 10 flavours available. I love their classic as you can taste the ginger, garlic, mild ginseng taste and remember to dip with their special home cook sauce. To me, this taste like dry Samgyetang (Korean Ginseng Chicken) with a modern touch. Per portion is ranging from  RM 55 – RM 79

Kimchi Jiigae, Doenjang Jiigae, Woosamgyeop Deonjang Jiigae and Sundubu Jiigae. These are great with rice or even good on its own. We basically order nearly 3/4 of the menu. For soup base I still like my classic Kimchi Jjigae.

Feels like having some of their classic item would be Shin Ramyeon and Kimchi Ramyeon.

Yangnyeom Chicken, Fried Chicken, Banban Chicken andDakgangjung turned out very decent. Crispy, tender, moist and individually seasoned with various sauces and seasoning.

This is the best part, as the slice meat section they are quite generous and it sure does look premium and of course the taste is good. For such a price, this is really a good bargain.

This year 2017, Living Room is bringing food towards your door step as they have arranged magnificent selection that featuring 14 different states cuisines of Malaysia, and also to pamper you further with cuisines from around the world – showcasing and serving up traditional Malaysian dishes, complemented by modern International dishes and enhanced with live cooking stations.

As you walked in, this area that features a huge selection of Malay cuisine in a huge wok is the place you would want to attack first.

Break-fast with a huge selection of appetizers, delightful mains and delectable desserts with more than 50 appealing dishes laid out on the buffet aisle. Rice and hot dishes are the center of all Ramadan buffet spreads. Diners are spoilt with the savory highlights – Ayam Bakar Percik Sri Kelantan (Slow Roasted Chicken with Coconut Lemongrass Sauce), Ikan Patin Assam Tempoyak (Silver Catfish with Spicy Tumeric Coconut), signature Westin Biryani (Rice Briyani with “Mamak” Omelette and Braised Spice Pineapple Cucumber Sesame Seed) with Roasted Whole Lamb with Mint Sauce and Lamb Jus and many more! The star dish of the night would be the specially curated Nasi Kandar Utara Mai with choices of Keting Kambing Kandar, Daging Kandar, Ayam Kandar dan Sos Hitam (Lamb, Chicken and Beef Cooked in Indian Spices). Not forgetting the final sweet touch of fine dates, assorted traditional Malay kuih and modern palatable desserts.

This are my favourite selection area as most of the flavour here gives you a big punch in your taste bud. Do go along with rice.

In this wok selection, there are two items that extremly stood out that I went 2 rounds which is the Sambal Prawn Petai (where I am not a big fan of Petai) but this is just so good. Lala with clear soup is another item that you would want to get a bowl yourself.

This is also my another favourite station that I drank 3 bowls of this awesomely soup. Sup Ekor that is filled with variety mixture of spare parts, soup is pack with flavours to my liking and take a roti bengali or plain bread to dip it along is perfect!

Spaghetti carbonara turns out to be above my expectation for a hotel buffet grade.

Dining does not ends there as diners also stand a chance to win a stay in other Oakwood sister properties around Asia that are located in China, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. TrEat Restaurant & Bar is located on ground floor. We hope to give another dining option to the discerning KL folks with this buffet. Musicians will also be entertaining the crowd every Friday and Saturday nights.

This promotion begins on 29th May until 24th June from 630pm – 1030pm. Prices are RM77+ (adult) and RM39+ (child).
