Thought of eating Dim Sum for the past few days, then did a research on where to eat. Then finally book one of the restaurant at Renaissance Hotel for its buffet dim sum which quite a number of good review on that. Then suddenly 2 days b4 the eating spree my friend called me up got something cheaper ah..
Then again go do some research and come across this eat all you can buffet which is at Li Jin Restaurant at Pavilion.
When we reach there around 11.15 am there were quite alot ppl waiting outside. Then I went to go ask the lady for the reservation name and she said I have to wait till 11.30 am to be serve. Then never care and just stand outside and chat with my friends.

Why this restaurant was because they give such a promo which under my friends budget RM20.80++ for eat all you can which most of them agreed and good thing was included weekends. Went to this eating spree with 10 ppl. They have 2 session for this which is the first batch is 10.30 am – 12.30 am and 12.30 am – 2.30 pm. We thought of going for the 2nd session as Brunch. 😀

While on the way walking in, they have the open concept of the open kitchen and as always the way steaming the tim sum always look tempting. The taste of it NO IDEA.

As I read a few food blogger, they mention that the roast duck here is highly recommended but never find a review on the tim sum. Will go hunt for its duck next visit~

They have quite a classy interior from inside out. Sure a pretty nice place to dine for tim sum with such a pricing.

While we were seated and this is the first cart that reach our place. We were very hungry as previous nite drank too much and today a bit hang over.. so just hantam what we can. So told the lady, everything 2 in our table.

Including this cart.
After took all the tim sum we need and me as always hungry as ever and go look around what I can curi. So found this area, with fried noodle and fried rice.
The ‘Fried Noodle’, is nice with the ‘wok’ taste is there and wasnt being too salty. A good dish to start off with
The ‘Fried Rice’ which is feel it taste much better than the noodle, as it is still warm compare to the noodle, and the best part is they are being pretty generous that alot of chinese sausage in there which makes the taste alot better.
Maybe I was still abit hang hang dei, and what ever I eat also nice.
Then the next area spotted next to it was ‘Century Porridge’ on the right, which I feel that the chuk is pretty dry up by putting into the slow cooker too long. Its a bit sticky whereby you throw it on the fly that fly over can even stick on the wall.
Next to it is theFu Chuk didnt manage to eat that cuz thought of leaving that for the last dish and ended up forgot to take.
This was the appetiser in front of the table. The very first infront of the pic I do not know what is that called but it taste sour and cold. Never really like it. The one of the right is call Leng Ngau(hokkien)suddenly forgot what its called in english. Taste not bad. Acceptable for me, which is cold, a bit salty and crunchy to its freshnesss and the one of the top left also do not know call what is it as what I know is to put all this in my mouth and taste it. It is cold dish also, a bit spicy and sour. Not my cup of tea.
So start my eating spree with this Siew Mai’ which is warm in the basket and yit lat lat.. so throw one into my mouth and feel like the siew mai is just out from the fridge and went into stim. The compactness is there but just taste normal.
Next is the Fung Chau aka Chicken Leg’ which I feel it taste weird. The skin taste like eating raw of its skin and a bit sticky too. After eating this plate,me and my friends never wanted for 2nd one.
Next is the Har Gau which is not really big in size. The prawn is not really big and the meat in there is okay and the skin is not too thick. Nothing taste special about this like some of other normal kopitiam style you can get.
Follow by my favourite ‘Char Siew Pau that will never miss in my tim sum eating spree. But dissapointedly, the feeling that it give me was the pau feels like not properly stim which the other side is hot and the skin is peeling and the other side is like just ngam ngam. The taste of it, don really like the sauce and the mince meet in there not small enough.
From top left to right:

Fish Ball
: Not a fan of that but just don taste nice.

Pai
Kuat
: Just taste so so, as its quite oily and the fats in the meat is too much.
The one on the bottom left taste nice, the skin is a bit crispy and the filling in there mix with chili sauce just ngam ngam nice to put into mouth
Siew Mai: which is another version from the up one, and thinks that this 1 taste much better. The compactness of the meat is there, and the feeling of eating char siew although not the best but no comment.
When the cart came by with this ‘Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun’ then also ask for 2 each. Compare this 2, the prawn 1 taste much nicer compare to the char siew. The char siew the piece of meat is there and the taste is just not there. Feels like missing something in it and we cant really get what it lacked off. For the prawns, it taste better as the taste had mix in with the cheong fun. Eating with the chili given is an extra.

Loh
Pak Kou
: one of the dish which I feel its nice there, its soft, with a bit of peanut fragrance and ngam ngam pan fried it.
the one on the top right, taste so so only, as fried to perfection but I feel like eating more flour than eating the base.
ThePopiah fried too long and its too crispy which makes it a bit hard to bite. Nothing special.
The Crabstick I would called it. Taste not bad, fried to perfection and the filling in there carries the tatse of the crab. Eat with mayo would be nice.
The best part of all I have been waiting and we ate till around 2.30 already. As we chatted the whole way through more than eating. Of course the deserts. The one of the top left do not know what is nice but one of the girl that serve our table, she keeps coming back happily to serve us and told me that since I like to eat desert as I keep asking her, then she bring me this.
Seriously, it taste very very very nice, inside is filled with some duck salty egg, abit of jagung taste, its soft on the outside and hot on the inside and its my recommendation for this dish over here.
As I read the review of the ‘Egg Tart’ not to be miss, which I feel it taste okay as the crust is crispy, the middle cream of it is to sweet and nice. The filling in it is just ngam ngam never too much nor too little.

The last one, taste pretty good also as it is filled with a bit kaya and ended up I wanted to request for more they told me its already finish and pass me the last 1 pack of it. SO DOWN. At the end of the meal onli get to know eat nice nice food.

After eating everything and ready to go surely we ask for our bill. The bills come out to a total of RM29 per pax which we were like har..y so ex and saw in the menu, like HK ppl doing business, added up the 3 cold dish in front of us cost RM5 each, then the towel, the tea and some other little bits and piece. Found it quite expensive for around RM29 each with the food quality and rather add some extra money to go Renaissance and enjoy the food but never try never know. Wont be considering going back at the moment.

I have always been hunting for good Ramlee Burger to eat. Last week when I was hungry and I drove around then thought of 7-11 to get instant noodle. Then mana tau, let me saw this burger stall and this 7-11 as I know the 1 at Jln Imbi there under Otai never really fancy that. Then with quite a number of ppl waiting, then just try la..hungry like hell!

This is how the stall looks like outside the 7-11.

The taukeh pretending to be busy as previously trying to post for me..Lol, then I requested pretend bz. So this is how he come out with. But seriously, he talked a lot. Quite a very friendly guy. Ask him lots of question also.
Then saw this special black pepper sauce which after he friend and dip into, looks good lei~ then he mention that, this is his special sauce. Then he and his partner also trying doing some combination at the moment trying to improve the taste of black pepper sauce and also would come out some different dressing soon. (looking forward on that)

The normal order ‘Sausage Plain’ which order by other customer and I saja took on it.

When he done this, so dammmmmm tempting ‘Double Beef Plain’ also for other customer. When I look at this I was like GULPPP..wish to had that but I cant take beef.
Then comes my order, the usual order ‘Burger Special + Cheeze. During my first bite of this burger, I was like, YESSS!!! at last I found one burger stall that really nice to eat besides the 1 in Section 14 in front of 7-11 also. This burger is juicy with the sauces, which blend the aroma of egg and cheese very very well. I just finish the burger within minutes. At the end of it, was like finger lickin good and YESSS I am satisfied!~ With onli RM4.80 and a coke after it. Haizzz…good to sleeep after that. 🙂
Before I was leaving, they ask me, am I a reporter… I say no lahhhh.. I am a food hunter..lol, then they ask me to take their pic. Which the taukeh.. sitting down and the guy behind is his assistant. Friendly ppl just talk that would not stop. The girls in front?? *ahemm.. I think its their gf qua.
For me, of course looking forward to go back and eat again!

My favorite hang out area, Alexis at Bangsar especially craving for the Tiramisu cake combine with the Mocha there is the best combo. Like this place a lot especially is not too big, just nice, not so much crowd and pretty cozy area to go for my fav desert but for that day, not really hungry so kidnap my friend along to accompany me to eat.

Like this wine rack which I always think will I ever drink that much of wine?

As I am quite hungry so the first item to be order is of course ‘Clam Chowder’ which cost RM16. The soup is thick and creamy, shower with quite a lot of clams and the taste is just so good and the piece of garlic bread makes it a perfect combination.
Saw the table besides us order ‘Garlic Bread’ charge at RM8 which smells very nice and rich in garlic aroma, I also order one lah~ But I tell you, the garlic bread is toast to crispiness on the side and soft in the middle, the garlic spread on top of it and the first bite on it will make you finish the whole plate~

My usual that I would rarely miss to any kind of restaurant when look at Spaghetti section is of course the Carbonara. The order of ‘Spegitti Carbonara’ cost RM 32 . With the price on this plate of carbonara I honestly think its quite expensive with the bacon serve some mushroom and spaghetti. Not the type of carbonara I crave for. This is not very creamy and its near to dry, yet of course do not want to waste the food so finish the whole plate la.

Last but not least, the only thing that must not miss of course their ‘Tiramisu’. The outer layer is filled with crunchy nuts and when comes to the inside, its so soft when you eat it, it melts inside on your tongue. The taste of the cheese, the coffee on the cake and some of the chocolate taste just poison you that make you enjoy every single bite of it. The strawberry syrup is just for the added taste. If you like it you will or you will just ignore it. Highly recommended – RM15

It has been a while since I last eat Carls Junior. They my friends suddenly thought of eating that as they have not tried before. Then okay loh. Looking at the menu do not know what to eat. Then saw this new burger pic which looks very tempting and decided to share with my friend. ‘The Teriyaki Chicken’ (if I am not mistaken) and we ordered the double!! Which is around RM21 for the whole set.

The burger is huge, luckily I shared it with my friends. When start to eat, realize that, this is one of the best burger I ate in Carl’s Junior better than the rest but do not compare with beef. The sauce is just rich in taste mixing it well with the chicken meant and cheese. The breast meat is grill ngam ngam good as its not too hard and meaty yet soft soft. By the time I finish half only realize that, ahh..finish already? Should eat the whole lot !

Never been greedy as it was for lunch and eating this at 4.30 pm and heading for birthday dinner at 7, yet it was a very satisfactory tea time I would say.

Previously my friend did told me about this place, never really got a chance to try out. Just so coincidence that happen to find my friend around Wangsa Maju area and I thought of this place for lunch.

The outlook of the shop which is kinda hard to get spotted cuz its located at the very corner.

Their plain menu with all black.

The set lunch menu to be choose from RM7.90 – RM15.90. After ordering my food, I decided to walk around to see its very own 4 section. What I have in my thought its someting like Quattro club. The restaurant occupied 2 story.

So start off from the top floor, which I came into this room. Interesting~ Definately suits me, but the section was closed, open more for dinner. This is their ‘Winter Room’

Pretty amazed of their interior, with this the sofa area sure very comfy.

The other section of the winter.

Walk out from winter room, this is ‘Autumm’ which is under the sun light. For smokers, I think this area sure will be a nice place to hang out, especially at night. This section also opens at night only.
Followed by the ground floor which lead by the spiral staircase to this ‘Summer’ area. The decoration of fan, lighting and the coconut tree sure makes the environments feels more summer.
This is the ‘Spring’ area which open up for lunch. Have a very nice interior which is pretty comfy and enjoying your lunch.
All set lunch comes with this set of appetizer. From very left is the
Jack fruit desert: not much taste at all, the santan is very diluted. The jack fruit is not sweet.
Cake: hopeless, its a bit hard, the chocolate top more on powdery taste.
Watermelon: okay lah~
The karipap: One word. Taste Geli!
Given a complimentary ‘Green Tea’
This is the extra side order which is ‘Vietnamese Cripsy Prawn Roll with Mango’. Mentioning with mango, the first bite, we could not detect any mango taste only can see a mango slice in there, the prawn is just average and the roll was friend to perfection with sesame seed around it. With the sauce in there, we feel that the taste does not really match as it covered up the mango taste. RM 8
My lunch order ‘Chicken and Cheeze Pasta’. Which noting much to comment on it. Just taste very normal. RM 9.90

The next order is ‘Chinese Style Roasted Chicken Rice’. Quite a large portion with the chicken they are giving consider alot. They sauce taste quite mild, just nice to go along with the chicken, the chicken meat is soft as were given breast part, to eat it with white rice perfectly goes along very well. RM 9.90

The next order is ‘Americian Club Sandwich’ RM14. With the price tag slap on the sandwich, sure it is not a disappointment. It is very nice, the veggie is fresh, the turkey ham is nice, fried egg and some chicken pieces and with the dressing the put on, its a sandwich you would be asking for.

Honestly, I would give them second chance for their food, most probably would try to dine at night to see what is the difference but of course I would say that this would be one of the best spot to hang out with friends especially the Winter and Autumm area. Dissapointed on food of that day but impress with the ambiance.
All the price are nett~

It was our buddy B’day Gay Keong and CB Kenny. They came down to KL to celebrate with the rest of us for lunch, dinner and club 2 weeks ago. So for the lunch it was arrange by my bestie Yeong Yong to head here because of the prank they can put on both of them.
For their lunch they have of course the 2 course meal promotion for RM29.90 which had been going on for quite sometime already which we think the food is not bad so going back for lunchie~ Where you get to choose one dish from the Appetizers and 1 dish from the Entree.

We combine up our order and share share, so the first appetizers is ‘Boneless Wings’ dip with their very own traditional spicy Buffalo sauce. When it was serve, we do not really have the urge to eat because it looks it had been left aside in the kitchen for quite sometime and the looks of it very soggy. It was not spicy and a bit too sour but it dip with the sour cream taste so so onli.

This is always our high time favourite if we do visit here. ‘Fried Mac and Cheese’ creamy cheeses and elbow noodles golden-fried to perfection.

The taste for that day was pretty disappointing. It was well fried but inside, the cheeze was friend nearly dry and the elbow noodle was totally dry where you put into microwave to reheat your food where usually we it, when we cut it, its pretty cheesie and flowing down to the plate~
Next is the ‘Clam Chowder’. Which is find its the best compare to the other 2 as it is hearthy, creamy blend of celery, garlic scallion and potato lightly seasoned with pepper and rich with clams.
The soup is creamy and the ingredient in there is blend of celery, garlic scallion and potato lightly seasoned with pepper and a bit of clamp. But overall, it goes pretty well with the taste. We were very happy of this appetizer. The rest.. *shake head.

After our disappointing appetizer and cross finger to get a better 1 for entree. The first dish is ‘Sizzling Chicken and Cheese’. It was very appealing at first but the taste of it was not as expected to what is on the description and the thing is, the portion is seriously small. In this pic might look big because its taken near. If you take the piece of chicken breast and compare it with my stomach its like onli 1/4 of it. The mash potato is a bit tasteless, onion was not deeply fried, the chicken breast is overcook. Hopeless dish again!

Next was ‘Cajun Shrimp & Chicken Pasta’. One of the okay dish of it as just ngam ngam creamy, after you stir it the sauce is gone, it got ‘serap‘ into the fettuccine. Theeere are a few pieces of chicken cubes and shrimps. Nothing much to comment on.

Follow by the ‘Jack Daniel ‘s Chicken’. Haiyoooo, tis is by far the best of all, the chicken breast is grill just perfect, a bit golden brown, the breast is soft wont be so meaty and the sauce that pour on top of it, is just so good that every 1 of us have not enough and thought of ordering another 1.

The next dish that serve is ‘Fettuccine with Chicken’. It was abit dry but the taste normal. The chicken stripes were quite generous and okay lah…don know what to say.

The last of the entree would be the ‘Club Sandwich’ if not mistaken. This is one of the best dish of the day. The bread is toast to perfection till the crust and outer layer of the bread is crispy. The bread in the middle is soft. They were never cheapskate on putting in the ingredient, the breast meat is alot, some bacons, mayo, cheese and other’s with the sauce all added up, can just saviour it instantly.
After eating session, I was fast fast told to arrange to deal with the manager there to give them a surprise. After they were clearing the table plates away then a few minutes after that, suddenly a group of ppl sweep across by their table and surround them. They were told to stand on the chair and to introduce themselves to every 1 of us…They si pek sporting, directly jump onto the chair…So let me intro for you, this 2 are our Birdie Brithdayyyyyy Boi~ Gay Kiong(in white) and Chan Tou Nam Kenny.
Then comes the supervisor to brief them…’Lai lai, now u guys have to use this salt and paper bottle to treat this at the mic. Then you have to either, share or sing to all of us. Ah Keong was like, an chua.. let me go first laaaa, you better say later la..si lang Kenny.!!’
So there goes gay keong(actually his nickname we gave him) talk talk talk and bla bla….

Then Chan Tou Nam…*fast forward mode …..talk talk talk and bla bla.. After talk talk talk and the best part of all, the second part, DANCING!~!~!~!~
Then here comes the gay Keong performing, as we told Chan Tou Nam better not, cus you are too fat, later you broke the chair we have to pay. So he is the pole and Keong, perform his best…
Making the crowd go while. All of us was like going crazy..with gayness keong swaying so sexy..
lol~
Then the manager told them, not yet finish…..In order to get this complimentary cakes, you guys have to do 1 task. You guys have to blow the candle from the distance we placed.
After announce, Keong was like ‘Oh SHIT!!..How to blow? Kenny no eyes see…
We were all like, blow la blow la..got free cake eat..at the same time pity them also, have to blow till their face ‘bin che che‘(hokkien) – face green green~
So before all the blowing get’s going, so they Birthday song singing….
Follow by our very birthday wish tradition. We at the bottom there helping them say Keong – I want to be Sushi King and please give me more idea of how to be more gay if needed. Chan Tou Nam – how i want to grow my stomach, don want to be Chan Tou Nam, want to be Santa Clause.
After that, cheng cheng cheng…please welcome our very first participant to blow the candle. Chan Tou Name.
First attempt, sucking all of the air in and trying it for 1 blow…no effect….if for me, I’ll faint.
2nd attempt, better, the light of the candle moving abit..!! We were like cheering down there. Chan Tou Nam!! Chan Tou Nam!! Chan Tou Nam!! with our fork and knife.. 3rd attempt he manage to blow it.
Keong is more daring. Like monkey directly climb accross nearby and blow it in 2 attempt.
This is what we manage to get, a complimentary cakes by TGI for Birday Guy/Gal. If you were to celebrate your birthday there, please do not ….I mean please do not miss this piece of cake. It is so addictive that from your first bite melting in your mouth with the chocolate, the ice cream, the cakes in it just bring you the satisfaction. The best of all!!! Don know what is the name called but its highly recommended.
With Yeong and Siew Li sitting another table and scolding us that. STOP TEMPTING US!!!!! We are trying to be on diet. In the end they also cannot tahan and join to eat..wakakkaka~~~~
The food for the day, can say like 75% disappointed with the quality that they serve. Can just say that, it was the worst of the time on so many occasions. We think that the chef had PMS!
