Yesterday was a big derby match with Man U vs Man C 2011, with this season, Mancini squad had rebuild to a great level with strong striker and solid defence that they have, by far both team are on form with many people turn out yesterday night as a supporter of the Devil. As for me, I am on neutral side, just enjoy watching big football games with my brother a Devil fan.

With this big game, Tiger had turn Soul Out into a mini Old Trafford Stadium ground with the home of the devils, is where alot of devil fans came by to support their favorite team.

tiger (12)

Classic Home Made Beef Burger @ RM 16 as the patty might look dry, actually it is not, whereby it is moist and juicy enough that turn out to be one of the favorite order for the night in our table. Well grilled, to medium and I just add in some mustard and chili sauce is perfect!

tiger (13)

Fajitas Roll @ RM 16 as the mince beef is a bit dry and the cheeze is not enough, it tasted so so only.

tiger (14)

 Fish Sandwich

tiger (15)

This is another quite a nice dish for the night as Croissant is filled with lettuce, ham, egg, cheeze is one of the dish that can get me satisfied. I do not mind to have another plate of this.

tiger (16)

Cheeze Nachos @ RM 18 is a very huge plate and when it was served, Joshua me and friends were stun for a while, with the size of serving, its well worth it, and the amount of cheeze added in and gravy is just enough to dip along.

tiger (17)

Of course we need Tiger Beers to stir up the mood. .

tiger (18)

It was full house that night, many cheer for their favourite team and obviously Man City player went back with joy as Man U got trash at their home ground, which they have went 19 games without defeat since last year 2010 and Ferguson consider one of the worst game in his care on his rival games. CAnnot deny that Man C went riot and took opportunity when Man U left with 10 players and for the last 5 minutes Man C score another 3 goals.

Overall, Man U played far below par than they actually do and Man C just took the advantage of it as for now they are 5 points clear at the top.

Enjoy the highlight of the game.

I quite often went to eat Lam Mee at Seri Kembangan which was introduce by one of my best friend and turn out to be one of my favourite a café near South City, Seri Kembangan which I didn’t blog about it. Then I was told that the original is at Pudu and not until I pay a visit here. May King Lam Mee

Malaysia experience in fine dining is growing steadily as with many people now enjoy the environment and the fine food presentation offer by the chef. Not to be miss that Malaysia International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) is one of the best way to promote these fantastic restaurant. Last year, with the theme Chef United, a much needed by the chef to go through the slowdown in fine dining industry (click here).

This year there will be a total of 30 restaurant participate in this event.

When I reach the convention center, I was amaze to see the big poster with the theme ‘Magical Chef’ for this year, with its style of promoting the chef is quite impressive.

I used to travel to Jakarta quite frequent and did event stay there for a month leisure and business few years back. Since then my Indonesian friend brought me tried out a lot of their local street food and it just taste good. Since then I am back here, the only shop that taste near to that country so far that I have tried is Waroeng Penyet and Ole Ole Bali but now, there is another restaurant called Little Warong Jakarta that newly open about a month ago that cater authentic Jakarta food that more towards Javanese.

[no longer in operation]

Jakarta

The restaurant is located nearby KFC and it wasn’t hard to find afterall..

Jakarta (2)

The whole place was decorated in more like a old classic kopitiam style as according to Remus, most of the shop that operate good food is have something similiar to this kind of ambiance. The wall are covered with many pictures of Jakarta from olden to modern days.

Last weekend, I had a very short trip back to Penang to help my friend photo shoot on his new range of food that going to promote for the next 6 months which I have previously blog about it (click here to view) and while I was there, I manage to think back to find a place that it had been long time have never dine there. Kedai Kopi Chip Heng

When I was a kid, my dad used to bring me here, that I used to bugged him on weekends, as it was quite a distance from Penang to mainland to hunt for this meal and at that time I was addicted to their soup taste, sour veggie.

Yam Rice

When I reach there, I remember one of the shop used to be my favourite but I could not remember which is the one as there are 2 shops side by side selling the same thing but different taste, as I lost my memory, I just chin chai entered one of the shop which turns to be Kedai Kopi Chip Heng.

Yam Rice (2)

What they sell is called, Yam Rice (one of their main selling item) to go along with soup that filled with mixture of pig’s spare part.

Yam Rice (4)

You can choose the parts that want to be added in into your bowl or mix everything ( I love it to be mix of everything) in the small bowl boil it for a while till its cook, then they will add the soup after that.

Yam Rice (3)

Yam Rice (5)

This is ‘Salted Vegetable Soup with Pork Innards’ with one of their special taste was the soup base, which is created much from salted veggie (Kiam Chai – in hokkien) and it had been quite some time since I last taste it and find it another feel like sour plum which happens to be quite strong which me and my friend find it quite weird but as I remember the when I was a kid it doesn’t taste like that (more on sour veggie).

Yam Rice (6)

Then the auntie introduce us their ‘Tau Yew Bak’ that had been stew for quite some time till the pork intestine its very soft and a bit chewy and if the meat would have been softer a bit it would have been perfect. I just love the taste of the Tau Yew as it similar to my grandma’s cooking that I had long missed. We just finish this bowl within seconds.

Yam Rice (7)

If you are in this coffee shop and ordered white rice it would be just very weird (would be more like ordering Wan Tan Mee without Wantan) as they are famous for their ‘Yam Rice’.

Love the Yam Rice that have diced yam cubes are deep – fried to a crisp, add in sauteed dried shrimps to cook with the rice till its not too dry is just delicious to go along with the soup.

Yam Rice (8)

The best part is all the pig spare part must dip with their special ‘In house Chili’ to add in the kick of it.

After finishing the meal, I am still not satisfied that it doesn’t give me the umph of it then went to the next stall to tap au back their taste and while I was at home after reheat it again, I just found out that that’s the shop I wanted to go with its strong taste of sour veggie. Both shop also had their own customer with different taste wise, hence for me, I love the one next to this shop and as I remember, my cousin loves this shop compare to the one I like. (depends on your taste bud)

Total damage for 2 pax is RM15 including drinks which we find it very cheap.
