Coffee places are not only booming in KL and it had spread their coffee fever wings till up north. Ipoh I have been one which is good yet have not blogged about it and lets head to Penang first instead since this whole week my posting is on Penang food – Lighthouse Coffee .

I have seen my cousin, sister and friends instagraming on this place and yet I have still went to try till few weeks back. Manage to gather the usual gang and it was highly recommended by them too for coffee. Before coming over to this place, we were at Twelve Cups and it was rather dissapointing which I will blog about it soon to accomodate it then quickly finish the session there and head to this place Lighthouse Coffee – Specialty Coffee & Espresso Specialist which is one street away from Twelve Cups.

Fun fact is that Lighthouse Coffee started as early as 2006, before the boom of coffee (which is now).

Have gotten to known that this outlet had gain its popularity within months after its opening and many backpackers travelers do stop by to get a cuppa in early morning or tea time session that operating in Heritage zone would be one of their advatage. Its not a huge cafe but comfort enough to store a few of us. Alot of coffee drinkers here are quite friendly as we do share table.

Menu are pretty straight forward with nothing fancy except with flavoured cofffee, with bites available and some cakes.

Some of us are quite hungry and decided to order some of their food Tuna Nicoise Panini @ RM 11.90. simple yet done to perfection with wholemeal bread those to crisp and fillings in it with cheeze and tuna are blend well to accomdate the taste with home dressing to pair along.

lighthouse (8)

Bagel with Double Cheeze & Egg @ RM 10.90 gave me a suprise as I never put expectation in it. Would be a great choice for breakfast.

lighthouse (10)

The best that kept us eating is this Baby Asparagus Aglio Alio @ RM 15.90 turns out to be good. Speghetti is al dante, and flavor is mild enough to get out the taste of pepper, tomato and hint of black pepper after taste. Ended up order another plate.

lighthouse (9)

Crepes is not up to my expectation as we can easily hunts better ones out there. RM 10 if I am not mistaken.

lighthouse (11)

For coffee the rest of us had Latte, Chocolate and Ice chocolate. Not only that as we were impress with the coffee art they had drawn with flower, which is the common ones. With below .. .

First time seeing a cafe draw a kitty. Then this mug had turn to become super star for instant moment. Among a few other coffee outlets available in the area, Lighthouse Coffee certainly the winner in terms of coffee taste and the bean they use is Arabica beans. Taste milder.

Parking around the area is quite limited and based on your luck. 🙂

Latte @ RM 9 and Chocolate @ RM 10.90

[Close Down] now known as Starbucks Batu Ferringi

Since this week, some of my blog post will be in some different location and lets head to North Malaysia which is Penang, my hometown that I was back during Hari Raya break with a few of my KL friends tagging along and I was in charge of arranging all their accomodation which they stayed one of a cozy nice recommended backpackers inn Ryokan Chic Hostel, also I am in charge of driving them around to pamper them with all the best hawker food in town.

69 (1)

As night time falls, we head to Batu Ferringi , which is one of the main tourist attraction where by all the resorts are there also night market that happens everyday.

After a short walk, I brought them to this new bar Sixty 9ine Mansion which had open its door to public since last year. I have heard so much about this place that most of my friend enjoy it here and honestly, this is the first time I am visiting this place. This is a bar that is quite unique from the hottest in town spot – Upper Penang Road.

69 (2)

This big bar surely amaze me, with many sections to choose from and lets head to the outdoor area first. I consider this as one of the best area, as it have curtain fountain with water flowing, tables and chairs are place on this shallow pool. You can just sit by this section with your leg soak in the water and just chat all the way ..  .

69 (3)

there is a pool right in the middle, then another fun part is there are 3 pairs of lazy chair right by the side of it . . .

69 (4)

where you can sit comfortably on this chair and take off your shoes and let your leg soak in the pool. 🙂

69 (5)

Another section right by the pool is filled with comfortable sofa’s

If you want to have a bit more away from the music, then the beach section might suits you, that you can be seated on this section with plastic chairs and tables or :

69 (10)

in a bamboo hut. This place is must dimmer as it looks, you can just sit here sipping your wine or beer enjoying a bit fade off music background that tunes with sea waves. Here is abit more windy compare to inside.

69 (11)

seaside bar is right infront to cater for your drinking needs.

69 (13)

When comes to indoor area, of course will be much more cooler with their air condition is on, and its like another total ambiance that you enjoy. It is more luxury in style with huge english classic sofa place by the walls and huge rectangle table to place all your drinks.

69 (14)

those who feel a bit lazy, pillow are there for you to hug or melt onto the cushion.

the 3 leng lui’s and another guy mia that visited Penang during the holiday.

I love this club alot, the set back is that, they played house/trance music. If they were to play latest mixture of R&B it will be a big hit for me, in such a great ambiance.

When I heard of this movie and was told by my friends that the very first part of Phobia was not really nice, and I ended up did not watch it and Phobia 2 I also do not plan to watch but till Coco call me and invite me to the movie premier. Thank you~

The movie consist of 5 parts which is something similar like The latest Singapore show, Where got Ghost.

The very first part are:

Novice: A young lad had committed a crime and his mom had decided to send him to the Buddhist temple to avoid punishment but still being mischief, his past haunt him back and its Karma as what the monk said. A few stones got thrown back to him till his face is so damage and I pause while eating my pop corn.

Backpackers: A Japanese couple travelling around Thailand and trying to hitchhike a car to Bangkok and on the way, a big bang was knock on the truck and keep knocking. The couple find it very suspicious. What was it? You find out~ The most irrelevant ghost story.

Ward: A young guy was involve in a motorcycle accident and he was place into a room with a near dead old man. Till middle of the night he heard someone eating in the room and he wonders that is he really alone in the room. The old guy came to haunt him and in the end he got posses by him.

Salvage: A second car ownership dealer is a woman which she sells a total damage car by modify it looks like brand new and resell it again into the market. Some of the cars encounter horrific incidents and the very next thing she knows is her son is missing and she start to get panic and search around. Till some horrific incidents happen to her and rush out with her car and broke down in a very short distance. When she open up her engine boot, guess what she had discover.

In the End: A filming group was shooting a ghost film and I must say, this part is the best part of all among all the ghost story that I have watch. PLEASE DO NOT MISS THIS SCENE.

Overall you can either go under Movie day or DVD would be another option highly recommended.
