Lets celebrate Arthur’s Day @ Beer Factory, Sunway Giza

Yesss… we are here again for the super early Celebration of Arthurs Day that been held at Beer Factory, Sunway Giza which is also one of my favourite hang out place with its great beer promo on happy hours. The actual date of Arthur Day is on 23rd September. Alright, what is Arthur’s Day? Arthur’s Day refers to a series of music events which were first organised in 2009 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Guinness brewing company by its owner Diageo plc.(source from Wikipedia).

On the night we have local artist performance from Rosevelt, CSBTea, Prem,James Baum,Naked Breed,  Dragon Red and a few more as they are battling out to be the top to get a chance to be featured as the opening act at the Arthur’s Day 2011 concert on 23rd September.

I like Beer Factory with its nice American Garage style concept that turn it into beer joint.

and as for their upstairs area is like lazer tag zone with barrels as their table and lazer shooting from one edge to another edge.

Indeed it was a great night to kick start off with Arthur’s Day in style with so many band performance, with free flow food and beer. Its another great event by Guinness Anchor and looking forward for more till the finale of it.

St.Patrick Day with Guinness @ Santini, Tropicana Mall

To be honest, I did not know what is St.Patrick’s day until 2 years ago when I started to read blog, and all I know it Guinness is associated with this event which comes to a conclusion to me that St.Patrick’s Day = Guinness. Then only I get to know what the meaning is all about. It is a annual holiday that is widely celebrated on the 17th of March as to name after the Saint Patrick which is also known as Catholic holiday and had become a big celebration in Ireland after 1600s. Now with this annual event had become a global signature and widely celebrated around the globe.

Then back to my study life when I enjoy my very first encounter with Guinness was thought by a good friend of mine Mervyn and I still remember that time Mervyn and Mike keep telling me, lets go and enjoy BLACK JUICE. I was puzzle and thinking what the hell is Black Juice, not until we reach Crown Casino in Melbourne where there are happy hours going on, they order 3 pint for me. I was like Stim, how to finish some it taste awful. From there, they teach me how to enjoy this great drink till today, Guinness is still one of the drink top in my list. Seriously, a drink that toast to them for teaching me and also TO ARTHUR!

And to celebrate this great event, we had our very little outing in this restaurant.

For smokers, definately outdoor is a great place to hang out too.

when we were seated not long and exchanging name cards, what was serve next is of course the Black Juice!

Most of the meal prepared that night are specially for this occasion and either, season with stout, mix with it or any you can think of.

It might look plain on this chicken strips but the hidden taste is it had been season with stout for couple of hours and deep fried. Dipping it with the mayonise is finger licking good.

Sausage is very juicy and meaty and the catch is the dipping sauce, that had mix with some stout and blend in well.

Except for deserts, they are originals. No alcohol involved.

A experience chef with more than 10 years in the kicthen that had come out with the great menu.

and all night long me and Ken enjoy our stout not one glass but many glass.

We had a lot of fun that night with Suji, Elaine and Issac (thanks to you guys)from G2 Public Relations and with the rest of us. We had our share and have you?

If you feel you have not enough of Stout or miss the St.Patrick day event, just don miss this great upcoming event that going to be held at 1-Utama shopping mall on 19th of March to celebrate the Guinness St.Patrick Festival 2010. Venue will be held at Central Park Avenue and it will be full of laughter with top Malaysian standup comedian like Douglas Lim, Kuah Jenhan and Kavin Jarayam and couple of top rocking band and activities.
