I have always pass by this nice posh stall right at another wing of Pavilion. The cakes and chocolate always look so mouth watering and just didnt drop by and last 2 weekend, on early Saturday morning, I finally set foot to this outlet as I was invited to Godiva event : The Chocolate Story that we are all a chocolatier for a day that we can get our hands on to create our own chocolate.

Godiva (1)

How did Godiva came out and there is an interesting story behind it:

“” 80 years ago in Brussels, Godiva Chocolatier was founded at Belgium when master chocolatier Joseph Draps founded a chocolate company that was named in honor of the legend of Lady Godiva.

Why it was name after her as her husband Lord Leofric charge taxes and the civilians are suffering, at that mercy of people Lady Godiva appeal to the husband to abolish the taxes and in one condition the husband challenge her, that if she rode naked through the streets and the people of the city remained inside, the taxation on the poor would be lifted, as the day she rode on the streets, the people did close their shutters, as promised. Her action is how it was made to , become the brand of Godiva.

Before the whole class got kick of we were served with Macaroons and Long Black coffee to start off with, something new for my breakfast menu . .:p

Macaroons is good, with the crust just crack when you bite it, then after a few bites hits the middle is a bit chewy which is just nice.. I find a bit too sweet for me. . If it tone down a bit would have been perfect .

Godiva (7)

some Cheeze cakes to hit on, and I love the cheeze cake its cheezy, not too solid in texture, moist enough and with a bit crispy crust at the bottom is just perfect to go along with my coffee.

One of the thing that we are looking forward to after a long stroll at the Aborigines Park in Taiwan(click here), we were told that Tina and Eva had already book a very nice restaurant for dinner which served their specializing hot and spicy Sichuan cuisine. Kiki Restaurant is rated one of the best around the area.

As I was told by Tina that this famous restaurant chain is own by their famous local celebrity Singer and TV host Lan Xin Mei that can only be found in Taipei District. Tina had book this restaurant few days ahead to ensure we get a place in this restaurant which RESERVATION is a must before you head here.

This building had 3 story and the whole building is fully packed with people. Shows that they do have a serious good business. Their contemporary design with unfancy orangy lighting with wooden and nice chairs to make all of us comfy to dine in the restaurant.

While we were at Sun Moon Lake we saw this great souvenir to get and give to this 2 great new friends Tina and Eva to thank them for spending so much time with us while we are there. We gave them a token of appreciation of NT 1 mil that shared by me and Pak .. .hahaha. . . .

3 of them are just as funny as they are, we had good laughter and crap all the way.

I used to go SS2 Murni to have dinner or supper and there are a few times that I told my friend that, pity loh, this shop..open in the wrong location which is overshadow by Murni. The patrons that visited the restaurant usually not more than 3 -5 tables on the dinner but little did I know that, it is one of the hidden jewel in the area.

I am glad that I was invited by BBO for a review in this great restaurant.

A unique range of tim sum available and everything looks tempting.

‘Ice Blended Japanese Matcha with Red Bean’ RM5.90. I have tried something which is small in size for a desert but never in drink. Love the strong taste of green tea but with the red bean still thinks it would be great if its in a smaller version.

‘Dragon Fruit Ice Blended’ RM5.90 Till now still do not know how to enjoy this drink, if you are a dragon lover, you should go for it. Strong in taste.
‘Mango Starfruit Ice Blended’ RM5.90. Its not bad but to me it’s a bit too sweet.
If you are looking for something cold without ice in it, then let me introduce you the ‘Yin and Yang in Hong Kong Style’ RM5.40 and ‘Ice Milk Tea in Hong Kong Style’ just love how the strong milk tea taste. RM5.00

‘Sweetened Mangoes’ is a perfect starter, with sour that open up your appetite and the crunchiness of it, I never had enough.
‘Stir-fried Rice Flour Roll with Spicy Sauce’. When it was lady boss was serving this, my eyes never leave this plate of thing. I looks so good yet with the smell of the perfectly fried taste trailing behind it just cant wait to walap it. Perfectly fried and a bit crispy certain bits and pieces end with sesame on top is something I would want to ask for more. RM4.50
‘Stir-Fried Bean Sheet with Preserved Vegetables’ Another eye catcher to me which looks a bit shining on the outer layer and the colour of the dish, is just the right fried. A bit salty yet the taste of it is not like char koey teow but something different that you should try for. RM4.50
If you are a ‘Steamed Shanghainese Meat Dumpling with Superior Soup’ I would assure you try out this. A thin layer of skin wrapping around the tenderness of the meat in it filled with steam soup. Slowly pick it up and poke a hole in the skin and make the soup flow out and taste the sweetness of the soup will just melt you away. 2nd round, stuff the ginger and abit vinegar in it, will just kill you off with the perfect combo. The ‘Xiao Long Bao’ here is definitely better than Dragon-i. RM6.00
‘Steamed Rice Flour Roll with Deep-Fried Dough Stuffed with Fish Paste’. Miss the taste when I had in Melbourne tim sum restaurant but this is something similar. Soft on the outside crispy on the inside.
‘Steamed Fish Skin Dumpling with Oyster Sauce’. Another version of siew long bao I would say. In the middle of it covered with meat and a bit of the soup and I had 2 for this. RM4.80

‘Deep-Fried Prawn Roll with Squid Paste and Cheese’. I have eat tim sum with mayonise but never with cheese. Compactness of the ingredient and freshness of the prawns filled with cheese sauce is something unique you can try on. Good would be the next word coming out from your mouth. RM4.80

‘Deep-Fried Prawn Roll with Orange Sauce’ is to make your taste bud go on trial, with a mild orange taste dip with it, you will just love it. RM4.80

Something different from other restaurant would be ‘Deep Fried Spring Roll with Unagi and Yoghurt’ is worth a try. RM5.20

‘Shanghai Pan-Fried Meat Dumpling’. Gyoza had always been my favorite but in Chinese version, I would not complain much as it’s a big wantan covered with loads of ingredient in it. RM4.60
‘Shanghai Pan-Fried Meat Buns’ something like gyoza but in pau version RM5.00
‘Steamed Rice Flour Roll with Duck Meat in Crab Sauce’. With the unique taste of it, you would not want to miss this! The crispiness of the duck cover with rice flour roll and end with the bath of crab sauce, is something you would makes you remember in your taste butt rock and roll. RM6.80
Arghh.. you must not miss this, silky smooth in ramen and thick and starchy soup base with a unique taste is something you would not find out there. ‘Shanghainese Style La Mian with Crab Roe’ RM8.80

Something pan fried covers with wok hei, ‘Stir-Fried Vermicelli with Minced Pork’. Great texture with the right ingredient is something you would want to go after. RM6.80
I do not know I am a sweet or desert freak but when always comes to this section I am quite excited over it as to try where can I get the best desert especially after tim sum meal.
A well steam ‘Shanghai Layer Cake with Custard’ which covers a few layers and custard in between, the softness of it, and I can just finish the whole basket. RM4.20
‘Sweet Dumplings with Duck Egg Yolk Cream’ is my very favourite here which I would say onde onde in Chinese version. Soft skin covers with coconut and bath in the sea of uniquely taste in the middle, put in the whole thing and one bite the gravy will melt on your mouth, filled with sweet and salty it’s a kick for you.
Beware when it was served as the gravy might be a bit hot and wait it to cool down abit.

‘Chilled Mango Sago with Jelly’ is not much different from the mango drink, would prefer it with less sweet. RM5.00

Looking for something crispy to munch, ‘Avacado with Kataifi’ had been deep fried like a small rolls of wire which been fried to crispiness on the outside and a perfect sweet taste on the inside. RM5.00
If you are durian lover, you will gonna loves this a lot! I would say this is the best I have eaten so far on this range of durian desert, ‘Durian Pancake’ (RM4.60 a pair) is a thin slice layer of skin and with a well balance of cream and durian in it just makes you wanna have more for off season. Its bitter in the taste of the durian and with all of us being a big durian fan’s all of us ta pau this for our friend to try out.
With our stomach already so full, we are still waiting for long craving Sunny home bake ‘Macaroons and Moist chocolate cake’.
Macaroons attracted by its colourfull look, not too sweet yet its something new to me.
Moist chocolate cake is a perfect closing for the meal. With the moisture and compact texture with rich chocolate taste, for gurls… you will love it.
One of the best moon cake I have eaten so far, but I we have been told by Wilson that the mom is not making anymore. We are in luck that is the final piece of the mom’s collections. Any order would have to wait for next year…
The session would not been great if without Bigboysoven, Wilson and Racheal, Mei which is now known as Cheong Man Yuk, Xin, the lady reporter of Red Tomato and me.
If you are looking for something unique in dim sum with hotel quality and normal restaurant pricing, surely this is highly recommended.

Do not know what to eat then just chin chai stop by at Jaya One to have dinner. Having troubles in choosing the restaurant also, so ended up went to Station 1 Cafe. If I am not mistaken, it is a newly open cafe as there are alot of flowers given to the shop and displaying all outside of it. This place is nicely renovation, very comfortable for a drink and yum cha, you can get beers by watching football and listening to people singing.

Presenting you the menu.

In the menu, what caught my attention was the promotion of the ‘Chicken Chop’ covers the whole page. Thought it would be nice so give it a try. The chicken is nicely grilled, some of the parts are a bit crispy, the sweet corn is the nicest of all as it uses steam, the mash potato tasted weird as it taste like the water paip taste. The coleslaw is missing some salt. The gravy totally not nice. If they improve their gravy, I would high recommend this dish.It cost RM13.90

This is the ‘Fish Ball Beehoon Soup’. Not a big bowl but certainly good for girls on diet. When it was serve, what shock me was the colour of the soup. Looks a bit like serve from longkang but then when you taste it, it is very tasty. The fish ball is very soft and have mince meet in it. The look like fish slice(never like it) but this definitely taste nice and soft. This is better than my chicken chop.
