will be starting to blog some of the places I went in Korea last year and Jeju island is famous for their black pork. Where do you get that in Seoul? I have read up that, Black Pork at YUKTONGRYEONG (육통령) in Myeongdong, Seoul.
The only thing I do not like about Myeongdong Disctrict is because it is flock with alot China tourist and for most of the eatery in this area, they have a minimum spending. For example, 3 person must order 3 person’s food. You cant order 2 and share with 3 person. That is the set back.
As we were quite full from previous lunch, we are here 90 mins later from our lunch to try out this famous black pork restaurant. It was odd hours at 3pm. Read some other article that this place have to queue.
Side this were very minimal and given some sea salt and their special chili to dip on the bbq pork.
this is good. Simple and perfect as the veggie is fresh and the sauce is unique that fit with some sourish sweet taste. Quite different from what we have here in KL.
Lunch with these 2. . .
we ordered: Premium Grilled black pork belly (19,000 won) @ RM 73 and Grill Black Pork Neck (15,000 won) @ RM 58.
The taste of black pork is superb. The fats is perfect, meat is tender and juicy. very different from the bbq pork we had it here. I wanted to order another portion but it is too full for us as dinner is just around the corner. Certainly price is on the steep side as eating in Myeongdong is slightly more expensive compare to other district.
