boba milk tea in kepong

Browsing

Just saw I have some pictures over this and I tried Xing Fu Tang for the first time when they open their outlet in Kepong. One of the reason did not hit to SS15 is because of the crazy queue. Xing Fu Tang finally in Malaysia had make its famous mark of boba milk tea in overseas.

Xing Fu Tang in Kepong was one of the first few outlets expansion in Klang Valley. Queue every where was crazy and their menu is very simple. Just a few SKU and with their signature as below.

Brown Sugar boba is cooked fresh and stir right infront of you. A lot of friends told me that it us so unhealthy when they put the hot brown sugar n boba into the cup. It to me a while to come into realization that izint what we have our take away food in “bungkus version” and noodles are hot?

Their signature drink is rather simple. A coated brown sugar around the cup, filled with milk, top with another layer of sugar then burnt it to melt to create a crips layer for you.

While waiting for your drink, try your wish luck from this massive stick. See which of the stick stick out compare to the rest, take the stick out and see what is the number then match back on the little pockets on the wall. that will be the luck of what you wish for.

Brown Sugar Boba Milk  @ RM 12.50

Well, I have tried a few outlet of Xing Fu Tang even all the way for Xing Fu Tang in Penang. Conclusion is different outlet different taste but this branch in Kepong is pretty good.

Love the brown sugar taste which is slightly quite strong, the little biting crips from the burnt sugar and fresh milk is prominent. the flavors blend well.

If you ask me what is my fav brand right now, I would say The Black Whale (a local brand- that I have yet blog). Xing Fu Tang remains top 3 in my list for their signature series.

New generation of bubble tea had hit the Malaysian shores and have skyrocket the interest of all our bubble tea drinkers. The Alley is indeed one of a early starter to kick start this waves with their SS15 as one of their first outlet then spreading through their wings exponentially over a year. Had my first new wave bubble milk tea at The Alley Kepong, as the rest of the outlets were just too crazy.

How to drink your tea? There is a trick to it.

The Alley (7)

Kepong outlet queue is not that crazy as I mostly go during lunch time. With their signature drink is a must try for first timer – Brown Sugar Deerioca Milk @ RM 12.90. Love the balance of the sugar and milk and do note that there will no adjustment to be made from our usual order. Even though this drink is pretty good, but I find it quite pricey.

The Alley (8)

Others that I tried will be like their normal Royal.9 Milk Tea @ RM 7.90 (which is still my favourite) fragrant of tea and boba is just perfect.

The Alley (6)

The Alley (9)

Actually Brown Sugar Deerioca Chocolate @ RM 12.90 is pretty good. Cocoa powder and taste is pretty strong yet the brown sugar just enhance the sweetness of it.

The Alley (10)

Do note that different outlet might have different taste as there is no consistency of SOP of it. I have tried Kepong, SS15 and SS2. By far SS2 is the worst. Kepong and SS15 still pretty similiar.

Overall, I still like the classic. Not the one with milk and black sugar as I felt kinda ripoff and still The Alley top in my list at the moment for their classic milk tea series.
