It have been long time since I heard about Food Foundry in section 17 on how good their mille crepes are. I have always wanted to try it out but always last minute there are cancellation or last minute thing that I gotta do. Even 2 weeks before coming here, there was actually a plan to come here for the deserts but got cancel again, I guess timing is on my side this round that I at last manage to step my foot into this place.
As I reach the place, I find that Food Foundry actually hidden in the middle of Section 17 that is not really that visible if you drive pass along the road as it is operating on the ground floor. Even though it is quite hidden but it had not stopped many food or desert lover to hunt for this place.
In Food Foundry, alot of thing you can miss but their Mille Crepe remain as one of the best desert to hunt for.
The restaurant is divided into two sections, if you are looking for a sweet chat and comfortable place to have a good time, then you would want to be in this section that filled with rattan chair and pillows on it with orange dim light.
What I know that this wall is handpainted byone of the artist. . Pretty impressive as I thought they use spray to spray on it.
Another section is what I felt more for dining purposes.
A simple menu that they have. . .
Iced Mocha
‘Soup of the day – Onion Soup’ @ RM8
‘Basket of Bread’ which is homemade by themselves that its best eaten when it is served. @ RM 2
‘Soup of the day – Tomato cream soup’ turns out to be very aromatic, creamy that tomato taste is strong but dipping it with their homemade bread is something that goes along very well. RM 8
I am a fan of greenery when it comes to food as ‘Foundry Caesar Salad’ @ RM 12 as I love mine with lettuce and those hard-boiled eggs with crouton, sprinkle with lots of cheese powder.
If you prefer something light to start of with, another option would be ‘Green Salad’ @RM 8 fresh lettuce, carrot, cucumber and pepper with drizzles of olive oil.
