Jacksons Burger @ Section 14, PJ

Burger joints are popping out every where, and its a trend. Well, lets go something classic in street style that I recently I was introduce a homemade street burger patty that run by Chinese couple. I have read Jacksons Burger is homemade by the uncle himself quite a while back and only remember bout it when Ken bring me over to dine at this stall.

Its not too hard to find them as I have read some blog that they always move around. Well, I have been here a few times and its still in the same location. Their burger price is definately cheap.

They do not have a proper dining in around the premises as they run the burger stall in a little truck and we can take their plastic chairs to sit there and dine. They sell soft drinks too.

What is interesting is that they do have their special homemade CRAB patty that Ken ask me to try. Of course I do a mix then, beef and crab.

Of course my burger need to have added egg and cheese. If not it would not be a perfect one for me.

Then my burger is ready, it smells very good with the fluffy bread being well pan fried that I can even smell the majerine of it.

Smack in betteen the bread and all the ingredients, here comes the Chinese version of burger that is pretty similiar to another famous stall in Penang, Hill Side. The patty are grill to little cruncy for my Crab patty and beef are just perfect. For afternoon lunch, its a good satisfying one. For Chinese to come out such burger, they are consider good. Surely cannot be compare with Ramlee burger as its slightly different style

After the first 4 restaurant hop, I am nearly Ko’ed with the food that was offered that even though not much on each restaurant, as heading to the 5th restaurant Vietnam Kitchen, I am already start to drag myself there even though Vietnamese food is also one of my favorite.

Vietnamese Kitchen offer a very good ambiance that is pretty quiet and cozy place just to enjoy your dinner.

One interesting thing is that their menu is in newspaper style and price is quite reasonable too . ..

Vietnam Seafood Salad @ RM12.90 that crackers is very crispy, a bit salty and just nice to eat along with the seafood salad

Star of the night is this Braised Pork in coconut Juice @ RM 19.90. Perfectly braised and soft on the fats, meat that makes me like the smooth texture of it.

Ah Mal Birthday lunch at Ishin Japanese Dining @ Old Klang Road

Time really flies, and never thought its mid of June already and reminds us about Jonathan’s Birthday. When he remind us about his birthday, it feels like just celebrated with him few months ago and actually not it was a year ago. Ishin Japanese Dining.

We delay one day to celebrate with him to make it lunch on Friday, and places that ended up voting by most of them is to ala carte menu of Japanese food at Old Klang Road, anyway, who could resist japanese food?

This restaurant is located at the side of Old Klang Road, if you did not notice it, it would be just a plain bungalow as it is conversion of bungalow to restaurant.

Once you walk into the restaurant, we were greeted by attentive staff and seat us to our table. The restaurant consist of two level that decorated with contemporary Japanese dining placed along dark chocolate wooden table and chairs.

If you feel you would like to stare at the chef cutting and preparing sushi, then you can be seated at the Sushi Bar.

Modern Tatami style dining is available on second floor and if you are a smoker, you can choose to be seated outside on the balcony.

Ramlee Burger @ Jalan Maharajarela, KL

I have always been hunting for good Ramlee Burger to eat. Last week when I was hungry and I drove around then thought of 7-11 to get instant noodle. Then mana tau, let me saw this burger stall and this 7-11 as I know the 1 at Jln Imbi there under Otai never really fancy that. Then with quite a number of ppl waiting, then just try la..hungry like hell!

This is how the stall looks like outside the 7-11.

The taukeh pretending to be busy as previously trying to post for me..Lol, then I requested pretend bz. So this is how he come out with. But seriously, he talked a lot. Quite a very friendly guy. Ask him lots of question also.
Then saw this special black pepper sauce which after he friend and dip into, looks good lei~ then he mention that, this is his special sauce. Then he and his partner also trying doing some combination at the moment trying to improve the taste of black pepper sauce and also would come out some different dressing soon. (looking forward on that)


The normal order ‘Sausage Plain’ which order by other customer and I saja took on it.

When he done this, so dammmmmm tempting ‘Double Beef Plain’ also for other customer. When I look at this I was like GULPPP..wish to had that but I cant take beef.
Then comes my order, the usual order ‘Burger Special + Cheeze‘. During my first bite of this burger, I was like, YESSS!!! at last I found one burger stall that really nice to eat besides the 1 in Section 14 in front of 7-11 also. This burger is juicy with the sauces, which blend the aroma of egg and cheese very very well. I just finish the burger within minutes. At the end of it, was like finger lickin good and YESSS I am satisfied!~ With onli RM4.80 and a coke after it. Haizzz…good to sleeep after that. 🙂
Before I was leaving, they ask me, am I a reporter… I say no lahhhh.. I am a food hunter..lol, then they ask me to take their pic. Which the taukeh.. sitting down and the guy behind is his assistant. Friendly ppl just talk that would not stop. The girls in front?? *ahemm.. I think its their gf qua.
For me, of course looking forward to go back and eat again!

Carl’s Jr @ Mid Valley

It has been a while since I last eat Carls Junior. They my friends suddenly thought of eating that as they have not tried before. Then okay loh. Looking at the menu do not know what to eat. Then saw this new burger pic which looks very tempting and decided to share with my friend. ‘The Teriyaki Chicken’ (if I am not mistaken) and we ordered the double!! Which is around RM21 for the whole set.

The burger is huge, luckily I shared it with my friends. When start to eat, realize that, this is one of the best burger I ate in Carl’s Junior better than the rest but do not compare with beef. The sauce is just rich in taste mixing it well with the chicken meant and cheese. The breast meat is grill ngam ngam good as its not too hard and meaty yet soft soft. By the time I finish half only realize that, ahh..finish already? Should eat the whole lot !

Never been greedy as it was for lunch and eating this at 4.30 pm and heading for birthday dinner at 7, yet it was a very satisfactory tea time I would say.

This is my very very first time that I ate burger in the afternoon. Usually this kind of stall is during at night onli can find or dine at night but just that coincidence saw this stall then stop by and order. The most surprising is for the first time I also see a burger stall doing promotion as in the banner.

The stall which is located on the junction whereby every 1 can see it.

Ermm..declare that they are No.1 Francais of burger chain..no idea..what bout Ramlee burger?

This guy is so busy preparing for the burger as I was waiting my burger for at least 20 minutes. Was not in the right timing as the customer before me she order 15 burger.

This is during my turn also have so many order in que.

Of course the only thing different of the order from PG and KL is the burger special.. In KL is burger special = Burger egg. Y don they called it that. As in PG burger special means egg + Cheese. Funny for KL.

Tadaa…nearly done.

This is my order of ‘Burger Special + Cheese’ RM4.80 but got disc of 80cents because he asked me why I keep taking photo’s from his stall, told him that I am a food hunter and will post in my blog. Then after he heard that he charge me RM4 only. I was so happy for the first time I got paid RM0.80 for helping to post. A good start to mee. hehehe.

This is another burger which is the plain chicken burger. Actually the taste of the burger is just so so. Again compare to pg its still some diff.
