Bangsar sure is a place for diner’s paradise. There are actually many hidden restaurant around the area. This would be a new discovery for me that there are actually a stretch of shop lots right opposite a housing area host many outlets here.

I reach here about 7pm and quite suprise to see that many of the outlets are pack with happy hour drinkers. Some holding wine glass and beer mug. After some chit chat only discover that they have their very own crowd to dine there as the food quality and price tag are reasonable.

For tonight, I was lucky to be invited by Cheng Yi (FatboyBakes) to sample along with great food and wine pairing dinner, as the range wines offer is by Craggy Range.

The wine are branded under 2 labels which the Wild Rock is the more easy to drink and Craggy Range come with more character on it. In short Craggy Range bottles are on the higher end side. This would be my first time trying out New Zealand wine.

Upon arrival, we get to sample their first range, The Sauvignon Blanc 2011 Wild Rock, New Zealand wine. I am quite fussy over my white wine as it is hard to find something I like and to my suprise upon my first sip, I fell in love with this bottle. It is easy to drink for a wine, smooth texture before begin starter. A young wine that can provide such taste and texture I am impress. Surely its a highly recommended wine~

salsa, garlic balsamic vinegar mix and breads just pair well with my wine.

On our very next morning, woke up early and Agnes came by and bring us to breakfast hunting. .  So the very first shop mention by her is one of her favourite that served quite authentic style of Bandung Style Breakfast. . .

A few street shots on the way to our first stop. .  .

Early morning people stop by at newspaper street stand to read the latest news. . .

then saw this stall sell this quite unique cake and it smells nice. . . so I bought a piece to try out .. which is located right infront of the shop . . .

We had reach our first stop of the day Warung Kopi Purnama which is located at Jalan Alketeri 22. . .

with a few paintings on the wall .. .

Even some people just sit outside of the shop to enjoy the morning chit chat and tea. . .

I just love this place, which is classic out of town coffee shop feel

Even their early morning kopitiam culture and ours is pretty much the same where our parents or grand parents would love to sit and hang out to chat with their friends in the morning before heading to work or after shopping from wet market .. .

This is their menu offer in the Warung. . .I felt that its more like our Hailanese Breakfast just that its in Indonesian style .. .

This is the pancake that sell outside the house, which is very nice in aroma, well mixture of ingredient then baked in between iron rod with outer layer very crips and soft inside with a bit of custard cream . . Nice. . .

Kick start our breakfast with Tea, and their tea is a bit mild that taste a bit like taiwan bubble milk tea. . .

Roti Dadar Ham is piece of bread wrap with a thin layer of egg then add on with chunks of ham. . .just dip it with chili sauce will be very simple and nice. .

Risoles is more like a breaded pastry that coated with breadcrumbs and filled with their own ingredient then deep fried. Something new to me ..  and we finish it within seconds. .. To me, it is like a popiah with a bit gravy ingredient inside. ..

I seldom miss out this which is ‘Roti Cheeze Bakar’ with butter spread at the bottom and lots of fine sherreded cheeze on top`

Otak-otak in Bandung is something new to me in the taste. Very sticky in texture,  with no hint of spices in it and it is not my preference. . .

After the first round, we head to next destination , Mie Rica Kejaksaan at Hyper Square. . . ..

A shop where served most of its food spicy and there are a few levels for you to choose from . .

that can select a few types Mie Rica the original, Mie pedas Udang Goreng and a few more. .

signature of the shop is their chili or sambal paste. . .

We order Mie Rica with spiciness of level 3 ..  and a bowl of additional gravy then you can add more of the sambal into your noodle if you feel that you can take more spiciness. ..  I had only 2 bites and I am KO’ed. . It was so spicy but the taste is so good, noodle was springy and I am sweating away while eating this.

If you do come to Bandung.. This is a shop you must not miss. . .Mie Rica @ Hyper Square .. .

After the meal, we then walked opposite the shop to buy one of their local desert Amanda Brownies Kukus. . .

many types of pastries to choose from  . .. . .

and the Brownie Kukus are available in so many flavour. ..  I bought the Choco Marble and I find it very sweet, nothing much to boast a bout. . .

It was super full or super heavy breakfast then we will go for a stroll at the non-active volcano . ..

One of my favourite hang out place during tea time is The Loaf – U hu! Hu! By the look and located at the prime location in Pavilion level 3 that usually filled with people sitting down there chit chat have a quick bite of cakes and I am certainly used to be one of them when I work in KL business district.

This is the place where a few of my friends been talking about when I am back, a must place to visit. I did not know since when Penang have such a nice place to chill or yum cha. It is called ‘Sunset Bistro’.

It gives you kinda the feeling when you are on your vacation in one of the nice island, and there are places like this for you to chit chat and drink beer. If you are too stress from your daily work, need a peaceful environment to calm your mind or need some good times with your friends or your gf/bf, I would strongly agree on this Bistro. If you are hungry they serve hawker to western food, beer, fruit juice, normal drinks but the kitchen close early at 1030-11.00 pm.

This is what I mean, a very relaxing place whereby they put music like, soft house, Jamaican, jazz, and some R n B towards middle of the night. You can just sit there close your eyes and listen to the music, enjoying the sea breeze and the sound of the wave splashing on the sea side.
If you would like to take picture, be there by 6.30, watch the sunset. I was at 9pm and only realise that if I would to come early it would be nice. I will be there again on 6.30 the next round.

This is the food that I ordered ‘Char Koay Teow‘. The taste of it has a very nice strong taste of the wok yet alil bit of the left over burn koay teow a bit which he take in on the noodle also which he did not throw it off. This food is quite satisfying as I was drinking with Tiger beer.
