coffee (8)

Taste wise is not very strong nor acidic. Its very mild.

coffee (9)

Single origin columbian coffee I would not say much as it falls into milder version as well.

Only upon I write this post, that most Korean coffee are pretty mild. I am not too sure all the way in Korea, keen to try out their coffee if I ever do visit that country again.

Certainly this is one great place to hang out as its always filled with alot of patrons whenever I pass by there and if you are asking me how is the coffee? Well, I can say I got plenty others to recommend.

Love their interior, which is pretty simple with red brick wall, high stool coffee tables around the area, sofa seating behind that makes it one of a attraction for younger crowds to hang out.

It was coffee time, then got a buzz from my friend asking me when am I dropping by at her place for coffee. She watsapp me the picture of her outlet Butter & Beans and I like this chic concept. Moments later quickly drove out and drop by at her place located at Happy Mansion.

Butter and Beans (1)

Another little coffee place that located at this neighbourhood with limited seatings at the outlet.

Butter and Beans (2)

Modern chic New York style concept is where the inspiration is from, then only found out that its actually another new concept by Food Foundry. This is how compact the place is with little seating even 3-4 seats at the coffee bar counter.

Butter and Beans (3)

A place that started off in early November 2012 that focus more on selling bread and pâtisserie that even some of my friend knows about this outlet on their freshness quality product that they are offering.

Butter and Beans (4)

Butter and Beans (5)

I was never a fan of Quiche till when I was working a cafe during uni time whereby my lunch is mostly this.

Butter and Beans (6)

I accidentally deleted on what I had for that time as I order a Latte @ RM 9 and Mushroom Quiche @ RM 10. Quiche is rather nice and simple, definitely fresh and one of a good ones that I have come so far, and to pair along with my coffee is just a lazy coffee break that I am enjoying.

After saw some pictures posted on Jennifer’s Instagram, then on our lazy weekend, we decided to hunt this coffee place, since its nearby to my place. Located in Plaza Damas 3 (New section) that is located on the first floor. If you drive pass by the road daily, you would not have notice this place because of the road heading downwards.

I love how the owners play with their concepts. Very simple yet creative. If this outlet is in heritage area in Penang, it would have a superb response.

My cup of Latte, well presented with creamy froth, if the coffee taste is slightly stronger then it would taste better as currently being diluted with milk taste.

lonbay (1)

Lonbay coffee is actually operated by young entrepreneur that he have the passion of coffee and looking for something that can suits local taste bud. Originate from Johor and now bringing up to KL to share with other coffee lover. Beans are roasted in his yard in Johor and its organic. . .

lonbay (2)

lonbay (4)

Why Lonbay Coffee?

lonbay (5)

Siphon brewing method that have a special coffee that takes about 2 days to for the process and make about 8 bottles per time.

lonbay (6)

coffee price is not that bad along with light food.

lonbay (3)

Coffee Luwak is something new to me yet I have heard it many many times from coffee lovers and friends. Its a love and hate relationship like durian according to them. It doesnt come cheap yet its good to try once.

Kopi Luwak – is known as the most luxurious coffee in the world. How me and my friend always describe on this is – poo from Musang, that is how it is price so expensive. Kopi Luwak is a name for many specific cultivars and blends of arabica, robusta, liberica or other beans eaten by civets. The ‘Luwak’ or known in  Malaysia as ”Musang”, eats the raw coffee berry and because it cannot digest the berry, proceeds to secrets the bean. It can easily cost up to USD500/500 grams, roughly RM 150 per 100grams.

lonbay (7)

Kopi Luwak is brewed in siphons using organically cultivated beans with certificate of authenticity and it can cater up to 2 person per session.

lonbay (8)

Tadaa. . .here is our version of coffee luwak. Light in body and slightly bitter after taste.

lonbay (9)

This is what attracts me, makes me feel they really do heavy research on their coffee line in Spiderman movie. My attention have all move to this little tubes.

lonbay (10)

Its Coffee Enzyme. Something new and first time hearing it too. . Lonbay Coffee Enzyme is extract from organic Liberica coffee bean. It helps the body to digest food and converting it into nutrients and assimilate nutrients from proteins, carbohydrates, fats and fibre. Top it all, Lonbay Coffee Enzyme supplementation in our diets as below:-
  • Improves overall digestion so we have more energy for life
  • Aids in disease prevention and boosts the immune system
  • Minimizes the negative effects of the cancer therapies
  • Reduces the effects of aging, wrinkles, sun spots, inflammation or soreness of muscles and joint pain
  • Prevention of heart disease and speed healing after surgery
  • Cleanses our system from allergic reactions
If you smells direct from the tube it gives a strong smell of vineger like and very sourish. We did try to have a little sip from it and it taste like a strong compact essence.

lonbay (11)

Honey Lemon with Coffee Enzyme is one of the way to pair it and it had turn into our favourite. Sourish end that pairs well with lemon and honey that gives a slight hint of sweetness. If you have not tried this before, its a great glass or drink to have before or after meal. Highly Recommended!

lonbay (12)

The LonBay Iced Drip is the one that settle at the counter with the huge siphon process that can be served in two ways, warm or chilled. Another type of coffee that is light in taste, not too strong and mild after taste.

lonbay (18)

lonbay (19)

Milk Tea HK Style & Kung Fu Tea Tarik

lonbay (23)

lonbay (24)

Classic Cheese is also not to be miss with soft cheeze texture and crust at the bottom is not too hard and would go well with coffee.

One thing if you would love to try out is their Enzyme coffee. and I sure do not mind to come here to have enzyme coffee honey lemon with their spaghetti that easily beats many places in their flavor and a slice of cheese cake to close the meal here. Pretty good~
