CIRCUS Launching @ Pavilion

Most of you by now would know that Pavilion level 3 had turn into a new drinking area with all the pedestrian mall walkway, you will be pampered with what does the area have to offer yet with Tangs had move out, the whole stretch have a few more additional bar and restaurant operated.

One of the latest edition to the latest place is CIRCUS. Yeap, its not the circus with clowns and animal performance as what I thought. This Circus have its true unique identity that is a modern bistro and cocktail lounge.

This is the new trick that I have learn to suit up in front of the board. Mini policeman.

Circus certainly offering you a new dimension of dining, with its stylish interior that transports you into adecadent world of glamour and escapism from the moment you enter, equipped with mood-altering lighting effects.

Do stare at their ceiling for a while as they have modernize it like a moving painting effect.

Like their ice cube case that all the cover are custom made with a C logo on it.

All those paintings inside the light box are all famous historian celebrity

In this cocktail bar, do expect something that will blast you away

I think this quote is definitely strong to those who are in relationship ‘Believe what you see, not what you hear’.

Right on the selected tables, it comes with paintings and light beaming out too ..

On the night of launch we had MOET to go along. .. and Esther my lovely best friend hosting all of us ..

Ahhh, I am totally surprise to see who is on the DJ deck. The boss of Eatertainment Group is spinning for the night ..

Jazz night with Polkadot + Moonbeam @ Shout, Empire Hotel

I guess many people like me out there, that do not really know actually in Empire Shopping mall there is actually a hotel there as when I got invited for this bar, I got surprise to discover on that, nevertheless, I am impress on the business hotel, on their facilities and pricing. Definitely a good place to stay when comes to affordable pricing.

To cut it short, welcome to their new lounge that had been just operate less than 2 months that offer cozy ambiance for you to relax.

A few types of draft beer is also available here too . .

This is Shout Musical Longue whereby you can choose to be seated indoor or outdoor. On outdoor you get to enjoy the view of Subang as below . .

Not a bad view yet the outdoor area I kinda like it which is not too warm that they provide powerful fan to keep us chill.

When I saw their menu in pricing, its pretty cheap with buy 1 free 1 on happy hour and definitely one of the place to consider for after work.

Besides the pricing on alcohol that catch our attention, their food menu and quality definitely a catch with head chef that had many years of experience and all the food that prepared for the night were superb!

If you ask me to rate on the food, it definitely stands on 8/10 which is recommended on my section.

In a musical bar, how could you not have a band on stage to play you some music. For this round, Empire Hotel had taken a step to get all jazz lovers to pack on this bar as the get these 2 talented person from abroad one is from Singapore and one is from Australia to play for you as they have played various part in Sydney, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and now again Malaysia.

This duo will be presenting you their original compositions as well as their own interpretations of jazz/latin standards and contemporary classics, performed on vocals, piano, ukulele, bass and pianica. In the scene at overseas, they are know as Polkadot + Moonbeam.

After getting all or food and sipping our beer, while the start performing, most of us stop eating for a while and amaze on her voice, that it is so good that near to originals of the song. For the night, they sang, some English, classic Mandarin and Malay songs that blew us away.

Sure a good place to listen to them sing that makes you relax if you love this kind of music. One of their performance. Do check it out .

They are just two friendly and bubbly person to talk to and if you are looking for nice jazz place, do not miss them as they will perform daily at Shout, Empire Hotel, Subang till mid May. Then they will be flying off to another country to perform.

Aria Traditional Italian Dining @ Bukit Damansara

To have a good food is always a bonus and satisfying. The catch is, good food is always hidden some where and needed to be hunt. That is why we always we love to hunt for hidden food. Let me introduce you another great restaurant which is a hidden gem in Bukit Damansara that serve Aria Traditional Italian Dining.

Interior of the restaurant is pretty straight foward that offer cozy ambiance that suits for your business, family and friends hang out spot.

Seems like the owner is a big fan of Macallan that is also one of my favourite. :D, found out that he loves single malt alot~

If you are looking to host small functions or towards more private session with friends and family, they do have this room to offer with cozy sofa and a tv build in with sliding wooden door to close up.

For this session, we were given the opportunity to sample some food and we were hosted right upstairs that usually they host for private business function.

In Italian dining, Bruchetta will always be in the menu as its a very simple and delightful starter to start off with. Simple freshly cut tomato season along with their special dressing that just makes this perfect.

This is a must order if you do visit this restaurant. Mushroom Bruchetta that cook till perfection and season correctly with their own special sauce and dressing that makes the mushroom taste stand out. – recommended

as the night starting, we were pamper with Processo Vento is actually champange in Italian version. A champange that easy to go down as its Light and bubbly

Lamb Kebab with Aria’s Special Mint Sauce @ RM28

It looks simple that filled with many skewers as Minced lamb in flavourful onion, bird eye chili, lemon grass, ginger, coriander seed, salt and pepper covered in Aria’s special spicy mint sauce. The sauce is a bomb! By dipping along with the sauce just makes the mince lamb perfect. I dip till to the last drop.

I love my Italian pizza in thin crust that turns out this Hawaiian Pizzeta @ RM26. A simple pizza that serve along with turkey ham, pineapple, mozarella & oregano and I enjoy it just plainly like that without adding any sauce.

I have been looking for nice Risotto since after I have been back from overseas. Not many places can actually cook this dish to my liking and I am suprise to find Seafood Risotto in here is just perfect. The risotto cook till its soft and a bit sticky, along with mix seafood that makes it a bit sweet in taste and sour tomato taste just blends in well RM36

Aglio-Olio Smoke Duck Pasta @ RM36

This is actually one of their signature in da house and there is no doubt that we were told must sample this, and after we tried it out, we only realize why its a must to try out. Spaghetti was cook till al dante and springy with hint of light olive oil and the taste of salty smoke duck just bring’s up the taste. – Recommended!

Grilled Tenderloin @ RM70

For those who loves steak, Medium rare is always my preference as to get the tenderloin remains juicy on every bite. Even better with the first cut and you can see the blood ooze out, as his find piece serve along with sauteed vege, roasted potatoes and a choice of garlic rosemary, black pepper and brown sauce.

Super smooth fish meat that nears to melting in your mouth when you put it in as this Merluzzo Canadese Atlantico (Canadian Cod Fish) topped with olive tapenade, vegetables and laden with Mediterranean sauce serve it light and yet very flavourful. RM65

As the owner is a big fan of single malt and he let us sample different types of single malt and those 2 are very new to me as I have never heard before for Bruichladdich and Auchentoshan 18 years old, anything that you hit on with 18 years old would be a bomb. Yamazaki definately need not to explain as its not a stranger to many single malt lover which is the first choice in my list.

This 10 years old taste very good as the taste is impressive, not too spicy, yet very smooth easy to down with on the rock. Perfect to pair with seafood as it will bring out the freshness taste of the food as we pair it with the cod. Just perfect! Definitely would love to have one bottle of this to keep for my collection. As i have never seen this in the air port.

The restaurant also do sell these bottles whiskey Macallan 12 & 18 years, Auchentoshan 12 & 18 years, Clynelish 14 year as well as Japanese whiskey both blended Hakushu 12-year and single malt Yamazaki 12-year. Price is very reasonable.

Then to close the whole meal up, the floor manager serve us their special coffee.

I would say, this restaurant is in my recommendation list as for the price and the quality of food hidden in the neighborhood, definitely this is worth to hunt for and a recommended restaurant for Valentine’s Day which is just tomorrow and you still have yet to find a restaurant…Try this out. Great food~

Part 2: Food Crawl (Deutsches Haus & d’Italiane Kitchen) @ Jaya 33

After a quick run over 2 outlets in a short time, then we head to the 3rd outlet which is Deutsches Haus German Restaurant & Bar that located on the edge of Jaya 33 building facing the main road.

I have always seen this place many times and mention that I want to go I want to go then in the end, ended up in another place and this great chance had bring meto this restaurant that offers a cozy ambiance with a touch of German feel . . . .

good for smokers too that you can be seated outside that filled with ceiling fan that make it quite cool to sit out here..

the place is decorated with barrels, kids bicycle, some signs that make it nice. .

For beer lovers, they have a few beer available on tap with Hoegaarden and some other German Beer.

I have ordered before on sausage platter but for the first time, this is the most unique sausage platter that seriously served with 7 types of different sausage ‘Wurstplatte (sausage platter) – mixed German sausage platter, served with sauerkraut, potato salad, senf, garlic mayo and habanero mayo @ RM88. Worth a try as you get to sample different texture and taste of it and best of all I love their homemade style mustard sauce that goes along perferctl

when comes to German food, you must not miss this – Honey-Pepper Knuckle – roast knuckle with honey-pepper glaze, served with grilled streaky bacon, sauerkraut and potato ragout @ RM 59 – Recommended

The skin been roast to perfection, crispy inside out yet filled with flavor and with some burn parts, might stick on your teeth and the pork meat is so soft that you dip along with the sauce and the potato ragout is superb! – recommended

Bacon Salad

Lastly that served up is their desert Apple Strudel , puffy crispy on the outside layer, not too sweet on the filling and eat along with ice cream is sinfull. Its just a great desert to end our superb meal.

So far, with a few German Restaurant that I have come accross, I like this the best so far for authenticity and of course its highly recommended by me. If you guys do have better options, do let me know.:)

Delucca The Italian Restaurant @ One Residency, KL

There are many places to be and hang out to have good meals with friends or casual business meetings, and if you are looking for a place that provide sensual and cozy ambiance, one of the place that I discover is Delucca The Italian Restaurant, one of a restaurant that offers authentic Italian Cuisine.

A place where its nicely set up that is perfect for love birds to celebrate special occasion in a section I find it very nice with uncomplete bricks decor and lights just shine towards that table . ..

Very much cozy area for dining which give me the kind of more casual, as the place lit with low lighting bulbs . . . .

and I quite like the bar counter which is located directly in the middle of the restaurant which kinda seperate the area of more casual dining and proper dining area. . .

if you do have private meetings or functions they do have this vip area for you .. .

Menu in the restaurant is quite simple with just one simple page that represent the whole list of it. Browsing through the list of it, the range of it is quite impressive as there are a few dishes that I am aiming for especially with duck.Well, dinner for tonight already arrange by my friend so we will just sit there and enjoy the meal . . .

Frangelico Lemon @ RM18 is Frangelico added with lemon twist and sugar. One of a desert drink to start of with and the taste is absolutel nice. A bit sweet in taste with hint lemon and end taste, it taste more like Tiramisu in drink version. – Recommended.

If you love alcohol, and I was told that Italians they do enjoy similiar drinks before their meal as usually they have long dinner over the table by chatting and socialising over the dinner table is to start off with Negroni @ RM25 that is made of one part gin, one part sweet Vermouth and one part bitters, traditionally Campari, garnished with an orange peel, it is known as an aperitif or pre-dinner cocktail intended to stimulate the appetite.

Nice place to eat and hang out at Social KL @ G Tower

I have heard so much about G Tower which is one of the new building around KL area and one of the bar up there is pretty famous among all my friends and sometimes I do pass by the building do notice that there are a few restaurant and didn’t know what was in there. It was until recently that I went to this restaurant Social KL.

A new groovy place with a very cozy ambiance. . .

That we are seated just right in the middle of the dining area. Wooden floor and customise chairs and tables are specially design just to suit to their concept.

When I walked to the end of the dining area, I was suprise to see there is a huge wine area which they are the first restaurant that I come acrross to have this huge area and they sell it too. Variety of unique wines can be purchase and its going to be one of my hunting ground for wines.
