Bangkok trip is all about makan on my 5th day trip, after heavy dinner at one of good restaurant that Goft recommended which is Taling Pling at Central World then now we are hunting for one of the best desert around that area called Mango Tango that operated by Hong Kee according to Goft. On the way walking there, if it wasnt raining, there are night market directly opposite Central world heading to Siam square.

Mango Tango (1)

I find that the street market here sell clothing which is pretty nice as if we do not have time to shop alot in famous JJ Market (Chatuchak Market), here would be one of the good option too as you can bargain.

Mango Tango (2)

After about 5 minutes walk from Central World, here we are, as we reach our jaw drop as the place is so little and flock by so many people ready to hunt for places in the compact shop.

Mango Tango (3)

This place got famous with alot foreginers because it got feature in some international food guide in Hong Kong and Japan. There is where how they gain the popularity and branding.

Mango Tango (4)

Cannot deny that I love the concept of the shop that show’s purely they are selling desert and only desert that they are serving. They source the best mango in Thailand and its pluck fresh. A simple decoration of the outlet make it outstanding around the neighourhood area as it is very hard for you to miss the shop that is well light up.

Mango Tango (6)

Mango Tango (8)

I guess these are their best seller therefore put at the counter

Mango Tango (9)

We are amaze how fast this worker cut on the mango and look so pro .. . We were just drooling like a small kid looking at candy when me, Steven and Tatt saw the mango how yellowish and how sweet it is going to taste like. .

Mango Tango (5)

Annie always love to promote how  god the food is and this round with menu, I guess she will be a good food ambassor. Too bad I was not allow to post her eating pose. Saliva will drop just by seeing her tam chiak face (the way she eat). The cute menu also in Mango shape and the have selected menu for you to choose from and we have let the desicion for Goft again to go for our menu.

Mango Tango (10)

Getting ready with my spoon to attack on the desert yet the funny thing is that I have heard An Apple a day keeps the doc away and now, its A Mango a Day keeps the Doc away . .kekeke I sure do not mind by having lots of sweet aromatic mango. . .

As we were super full from dinner, and now its very hard for us to resist to say NO to deserts after looking on how the way they do it and die die also must try quite few. Our initial plan was order 2-3 to share and the end up result every one having one portion. 😀

Mango Tango (11)

Mango Sticky rice is just so opposite version of what we have in Malaysia and the servings there as I meant, that in Malaysia our sticky rice is a huge chink of it with a few slices of mango and in Mango Tango is a huge big ass mango with small scoop of sticky rice. Its served warm, soft and very aromatic with their superb coconut milk as we love it so much on the taste and pair with the smooth sweet mango is just perfect.

Mango Tango (12)

Mango Tango (13)

Do not know what to choose get Mango Tango Signature dessert and consists of a half nicely cut mango in cubes, with a side of mango pudding topped with whipped cream and a ball of mango sorbet. A perfect combination to try all version in their outlet.

Mango Tango (14)

Mango Delight comes with a mixture of fruits base, kiwi, mango, honeydew, aloe verra, watermelon and some other ingredient, and all the fruits are fresh and sweet.

Mango Tango (15)

Mango Smothie is super good, very smooth, easy to drink yet the mango is so aromatic like drinking pure mango juice.

Mango Tango (16)

Mango Tango (17)

all of us having great time with our desert and this is one of Goft’s fav drink .

Mango Tango (18)

One thing I regreted that I did not buy enough is their Sensational Mango Tango Desert – Preserved Fruits. One of the best I have eaten so far as they sell it in lose pack or economy pack that comes in a pack of 3 boxes. As for  now, whenver my friend go to Bangkok, I will try to ask them tapau this back for me .. Hehehe .. Once you eat it, its addictive even my parents finish this whole pack on the night itself.

Dry, not too sweet, as its like eating pure mango in another version. Recommended to get at least 2 pack.

Mango Tango (19)

Here we are, our desert hunter and Collen always busy with her food, that is how tam chiak she is whenever taking pictures. 😀

As for last say, any order in the menu, surely will satisfy your crave on desert as all also pretty good!

If you do go Bangkok in the area of famous shopping districk Central World that area, please do not miss this super good yet delicious Mango desert, as you would not regret even though its a bit hard to find as you have to walk thru some alley turn right turn left.

Highly Recommended if you love or do not like desert.!!!!

They have 4 branch in Bangkok check out their website for other branches location : www.mymangotango.com

I just wish  Malaysia have such a good desert shop. The set back is our mango is so exp and import in even worst. I guess I shall keep my mango crave till next holiday . . 🙁

What they are famous for? They are famous for their very own style of Swiss Roll which is a MUST buy item in there.

day 8 (51)

Their Signature Item, Swiss Roll Strawberry, which have really fresh strawberry in there and the taste of it, the outerlayer of the roll cake is so soft and the cream is not too thick yet its just perfectly nice to go along with the whole awesome flavour.

day 8 (52)

They have so many flavours and if I do stand a chance I would really want to buy back but it was meant to eat it fresh and can last 2 days. By the time I bring back to Malaysia its already spoil.

day 8 (53)

Their testing plate and one thing I love about Taiwan FnB industry is that most of the retailers are very generous in giving out their item for food tasting. You see the size of it, its quite a huge chunk and they seriously do not mind you to stand there and just eat it like that a few (if you do not feel embaress la).

day 8 (54)

One of my favourite is the Yam  . .. . .

day 8 (55)

With lots of creamy cream yogurt base like that. ..  It wont make you ‘jelak’ and I can seriously finish this whole roll by myself without any problem!

day 8 (56)

And I just love their packaging. . .  so Creatively design . . . Do bare in mind that their Swiss Roll are selling like hot cakes and I do even see a guy buy 20rolls.

day 8 (57)

We just bought a few just to eat for the night.

day 8 (58)

Other item that selling in there.

day 8 (59)

We love their bread range too, smells so nice and the bread are creatively design which their bread size and flavours are quite unique.

day 8 (60)

The last day at Redang and return to the mainland which is Terengganu for a day trip. Alot of my friend told me not to waste my time to go there but I still remember that, when I was young, everytime thought of Terengganu will think of Turtles lay egg. Even did once when I was in primary follow school trip to came here to see turtle lay egg, mana tau, after wating whole nigght with lots of ppl tarak anyting. Even the turtle ghost bayang also tarak!
But still decided to go ahead and follow my buddie Tatt and his gang for the day tour. The bloody thing was me and my friends waited for him for 4 hours. We were sent out by the hotel in the earliest boat and his hotel send them out the latest boat. WTF>!
The best part is, when he keep asking where am I and I asked him where is he for the 1st sms, he said on the way, then me and my friends were sitting in one of the stalls nearby just to wait for him. Hours past and the shop also wanna tutup liau, so we went to his jetty to wait for him.
2nd sms came, saying that reaching liau, the boat is parking. Suprrisingly, the boat just passby us which is from Laguna and not his and ngam ngam parking also, thought that he took that boat. Mana tau 45 mins later also didnt see him. Just ignore then.
3rd sms came. Just finish cornaring..parking soon. I straight away told him..Tiu..where got boat park, I am at your jetty, no boat also. Then no reply.25 mins later his boat arrive. Sial betul.. 4 hours wait. from 10.30 – 2.30pm
The first stop of the day as we requested was the market where I get to read the brochure saying that a great place to stop by. Just follow loh~

Bazar Warisan is one of the new buidling but we found out that, most of the items sold there are Batik’s. Noting much to see and many shops havent really open for biz yet also but me and my friend were wondering, are there any ppl goin to go buy ah?

At the pasar, as you can hardly spot chinese in this market. Onli like 1-3% only. This outdoor market is more like Chee cheong Kai style price average~

Me and Tatt at the pasar~

Candy that we are going to buy.

The stuff here are very ‘cheap ah~’. Buy more got free ah, don want to be also Free ah! Get free to taste lots of the food here as the kakak is very nice. Let us try a few so we decided to buy from her also, since she so good in talking.

Inside the market were selling about the same thing also. But since we arleady bought it, just walk walk around loh~

Then saw this, as I remembered that a month ago, my colleage did treat me eat this which is very very very nice. I just bought a small pack only.

I tell you, when the gurls Colleen and Nancy walk pass that time, the saw this and shout…..WOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII…Faster faster come and see what is this, then me an Tatt ran over and see what’s so special la.. It was really special, the sweets that was extinct already. All of us used to eat this when we were very young. Like bout 5-11 like dat. One of the hit thing in those days. So we did sapu quite alot packet also. I just share with my bro cuz too sweet.

Then go walk walk around. The whole upper floor sell the same thing which is Batik and Malay traditional clothes. See their pricing is not really cheap but then only 1 more comment. The design are very nice!

After this, the rest were suggesting we head to the floating Mosque. It is like around 15 mins from there so okay loh~
Then instead of going to the floating Mosque we saw this place which is kinda amazing. Did not even know that this exist in Terengganu. Then we question ourself, Y here? Not some other states. This is the :
Taman Monumen @ Terengganu

Shows you all about the most in the world in minature form. We saw the structure is quite unique and just wen in then. The entrance fee is RM10 per pax.
Operation and last time of the day detail.
You were given a book of passport to check on your identity wheter are you legal to go in a not…
😀
Ceh…I also have my passport ma!
This is the first structure that you will see as I didnt know that the Chinese culture buiding is here and was told that they follow the strong influence culture of the religion.
Thailand mosque. Masjid Patani.
One of the architecture when saw sun and books.
The famous Taj Mahal. . . .

Work in progress.. Please siam chit ehhhh….!!
Inside one of the minature mosque.
heellllppp..there are alot of wind.
One of the nice mosque in Europe
This gives me the feel of more like PG Fort Cornwallis.
After the whole visit, we walked very fast and run ah….cuz was running out of time. If continue leisure chances of miss flight is quite high. The Floating Mosque in the state. The si Kicap bring us to tempat makan eat. Chin Chai Chin Chai only.
After this 4 days 3 night, wouldnt want to say good buyyyy but still have to leave and get back to reality.!

Back to my delay post of my Hong Kong trip, this is the itenery for day 3 that we are heading to Macau for a day trip. So we woke up at 7am and have to gather at lobby by 8am as the tour guide going to pick us up for this trip. The day trip package with tour guide that we had arranged cost about HKD 350 each including the ship fare.

It was early in the morning when we reach there, as we still have 45 minutes before departing and we grab a quite breakfast. Ask the tour guide which is the best restaurant to have for breakfast and he recommended Macau Restaurant. He added that he don earn commission on this ya.

When we were looking at the restaurant we saw the logo on the side of the restaurant and looks very familiar and only realize that it is the logo of Nando’s. Then we were thinking, no copy right meh? Can just use like dat 1 ah. Then later only found out that Macau was conquer by Portuguese before and Nando’s is originate from there.

It was still quite early there and in the restaurant had not much people, so we occupied the whole outside area of the restaurant.

Again, one thing I like about Hong Kong is the way they offer the breakfast set. Set A, B, C or D. which they called it ‘A Chan or B Chan’

They only pass us 2 menus to choose from. So particularly we nearly everything offer in there.

We were also told that we must try the ‘Portugese Tart’ which is very very nice. Highly Recommended by the tour guide. Which cost HKD 7 per piece as you can see.

The very first order that came was the ‘Portuguese Tart’ which is just directly infront of us. The quantity that we order that makes the whole oven left 1/ 4. The outer layer of the tart is crispy, never over baked. One bite in, the filling in the middle is soft custard that brings out the sweetness of it, never too sweet but just perfect and the top layer just burn with the right temperature that create a thin layer of crust. A good appetizer to start off with, as expected.

Enjoying my bites of the tart’s.
My order is ‘Set A-Macaunese Crispy Bun w/pork chop and Scramble Egg’. The bun is seriously very nice, as come out what taken in the pic. The pork is fried to perfection, never too meaty in the inside and the sauce that the use just the right one to eat it along with the crispy bun. First bite in it, the crisps on the side just fall off, the taste in the bun something like butter but its not, a fragrance which is nice to eat along with the pork chop. The scramble egg is very soft and it will melts in your mouth. HKD 25 for this.
‘Set C – Oatmeal, Ham and Egg Sandwich’. When got served to our table, was a bit shocking that it just so bloody plain and cost HKD 26,even more expensive than mine. The only thing is unique is the bread and the ham. It is very chewy and eat along with the toasted oat bread and some of the chili sauce there, is just satisfying for a plain meal.
The thing that I will never miss for my breakfast is their ‘Polo Yau Bun’. With a thick layer of butter in there that slowly melting in it and the warm polo bun just makes the taste even better. The top crust one bite the crust will just fall down. Not too sweet and just perfectly baked. I ended up ate 2. HKD 9 if not mistaken.
‘Sausage with Fried Egg’. Nothing much to comment on this, its just way too plain and cost HKD 20. shit!

Since the day reach Hong Kong, this dish was never out of sight ‘Jar Jiang Mian’. The one in this restaurant wasn’t really that nice. The gravy is a bit sweet and not warm. The Maggie is abit over cook which makes it a bit soft instead of springy.

‘Noodle with Harm Choy’. A plain noodle soup that makes it stand out is the sour soup that they pour in. The soup never too sour that makes your jaw bones wanna fall out but a good starter of the meal. Share with the rest.

‘Set D – Thick Toast with Butter Sweet Corn, Ham and Sausage with Cullet Fish Fillet’. We were wondering how they manage to cook the ham, and the fillet was fried to golden brown. Although it looks very plain but the taste of it is way much nicer. The fillet is very soft that shows the sign of freshness and again eat along with the toast and the chili sauce its just perfect. The corn was steam to ngam ngam and a bit of salt to bring up the taste. The price is HKD 26

All the set above comes with a ‘Tea, Coffee or Yin Yeong(mix)’
So early in the morning and have such a satisfying breakfast, we were charge up to explore Macau and my friend start to collect money to go Gamble. Every 1 contribute abit. Macauuuuuu…here we comee…..To be continue……..
