Some of you might stumble on my blog that I did a posting on Heineken Final, and now the clock is ticking as the Heineken Ibiza Final contest officially ends this Saturday 20 April. Its a great opportunity for Malaysians a chance to watch the screening of UEFA Champions League (UCL) Final VIP-style in the party capital of the world – Ibiza, Spain.

The only catch is that the Heineken Ibiza Final tickets are hidden in a secret location somewhere in Klang Valley and fans are encouraged to collaborate via social media activities in order to be one step closer to finding out where the tickets are!

*ahem, how many of you have heard of the famous beer brand from Japan called, Asahi before? This dry beer is actually the no.1 beer in Japan. This fast growing premium Asian beer was first introduce in 1987  as the world’s first KARAKUCHI beer, and Japan’s first dry beer. After years of research and improvementit is now known as the no.1 Japanese Beer in the world. Impressive!

Being No.1 doesn’t stop them from exploring new things. Now let me introduce you to a person, and a person that is the first of its kind in the world, Mr.Asahi. Why is it the first of its kind? Mr.Asahi is the World’s First Robot Bartender which can serve a lot more than a normal bartender can at a time. He is capable of opening bottles and pulling 300ml pints and can, serve up to 16 half pints or bottles at a time in less than 2 minutes.

The first ever mechanical barman to make its way here will be touring the country to meet Asahi fans and celebrate the availability of Asahi in draught, pints and cans nationwide, brewed exclusively by Carlsberg Malaysia in Shah Alam.

The other day I managed to meet Mr.Asahi in person when he and his crew dropped by in Jaya One.

For those of you who would like to meet Mr.Asahi, as he will make some special appearances in commercial centers in Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Johor Bahru, Ipoh and Penang for 30 days beginning April 15, 2012.  Beer lovers will be able to catch Mr. Asahi in action from Wednesday to Saturday’s from 5.00pm onwards in selected locations. Just by logging onto their Facebook page and you will be able to track where Mr.Asahi is.

Now let the contest begin, what you need to do is pretty simple:
1) Record yourselves doing a robot dance, minimum of 10 seconds but if you are not a dancer and you still want to be part of the party, you can take a picture of your MOST robotic pose. You really don’t need to be a professional dancer. You can dress in creative/ funny costumes to make it funny and entertaining!

2) Once the contest entry is ready:
a. You are required to LIKE the Asahi Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/AsahiMalaysia
b. Next, upload the video/photo titled “My Mr.Asahi Robot Dance” for videos or “My Mr.Asahi Robot Pose” for photos on your own    Facebook timeline.
c. After uploading the video /picture, you will need to tag @Asahi Malaysia, and also tag @Nuffnang or @ChurpChurp accordingly for tracking purposes.
d. The 50 most creative videos / pictures will be given a pair of invites to be at the Exclusive Asahi Get- Together event to witness Mr. Asahi, World’s 1st Robot Bartender.

But wait, it doesn’t end there, the top 10 most creative entries will also stand a chance to win a pair of Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones at the event itself. Isn’t that cool??

A perfect ambiance to celebrate Valentine as they have just miss out their candles and I am sure its gonna be perfect for Valentines dinner here that over look this huge lake.

One of their signature is the Wood Fire Oven Pizza. Super thin crust as thin near to paper.

The head chef himself at times overlook the quality of the pizza to make sure every pizza served out is as expectation.

By looking at the menu, I nearly fainted, that they seriouly offer huge range of food in the menu from, Western, Italian, Local which is a good combination of Fusion serving. With this menu, you do not need to fear what he or she do not like with the range provided.

Not only that, for beer lover they set their Chinese New Year Promotion with Buy 2 get 1 Free, Tiger Draught, Tiger Crystal, Kilkenny, Heineken and Guinness is in the list of offering.

Of course I would not miss the opportunity to enjoy their draft. The wine ‘Thachi Broken Earth Cabernet Sauvignon’ is certainly recommended as I find it smooth and not very dry that can just drink it without eating food, it would be perfect for chatting session.

Their Happy hour also includes my pint RM18 (Happy Hour),  RM26 (Normal) find it quite cheap.

Walking Snail Escargots would be my very first time eating it. It was baked till soft inside yet very aromatic with the garlic added on. Garlic bread spread evenly with butter and slices of garlic makes it very nice and crips. Eat along with soup definately perfect!

 Sang Har Mee – Chinatown’s crispy noodles with wok-fried jumbo water prawns, served with braised bok choy in a rich prawn gravy @ RM38

Yakidoori – India’s tandoori chicken with bombay onions and moroccan spices, served with a fiery chilli chutney dip @  RM10 (3 sticks) The chicken breast meat is so soft and we wonder how they marinate it till so nice. The Chutney dip is one of their own made special sauce that taste a bit sweet and sour.

 Raviollo Braised Oxtail – Tender and juicy chunks served on a bed of saute kailan and tomato chutney, accompanied with pastille cabbage and carrot relish, and spiced with harissa shooter @ RM38

Ox-tail is nice that the meat just melts in my mouth. The taste is a bit solid but certainly we are liking it. I dip it with garlic bread and the combination goes pretty well too.

Grilled Chicken Breast Ala Bresse with Mushroom and Feta Cheese – Grilled to perfection with asparagus volute wrapped with beef bacon and accompanied with orange salsa, and glazed with balsamic reduction, with lentil sauce. RM25

Deep Fried Chicken Cordon Bleu – Juicy chicken breast fried to perfection, stuffed with mozzarella cheese and smoked turkey ham, on a bed of mashed potatoes, butter veggie and tangy concase puree @ RM25, the sauce is just awesome.

No matter where or how full am I, I am a big fan of Tiramisu – Old time Italian favourite of of sponge cookie soaked in strong coffee with mascarpone cream @ RM16. Love the taste with solid cocoa powder at the top and some kahlua at the bottom that the mascarpone and cream is so soft.

Another desert to be recommended is their Chocolate Mud Cake – Savory mud cake with Haagen-Dazs vanilla pecan ice-cream on vanilla sauce. Mud cake is not too solid yet very soft that put into my mouth, I just love the texture of it then with every bite filled with Haagen-Dazs makes me imagine back Esther’s expression how she enjoy every bite of this desert @ RM19

We love this place and definately we are coming back for more of their food, as the quality and price are very reasonable and best of all we can have our beer also . .

I guess recently a lot of us being pampered by a lot of Bars retailers that they have brought in many imported beers for us to choose and enjoy after our daily pressure at work. Now, for beer drinkers, one of the latest hype for you guys is that Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Berhad had brought in Kronenbourg one of the finest beer from French for Malaysians to enjoy.

The new lauch of the beer is held at this new hidden gem at Damansara area, The Hills.

The whole bar and restaurant had been converted to mini French ambiance to cater specially for this launch with Eifel Tower in place to welcome all the guest.
