UFO Taiwanese Desert @ SS 2

Deserts Lovers, which brand do you prefer since we have Taiwan fever deserts booming in our country at the moment, from drinks (bubble tea) to ice desert series with the brand like Chatime, Gong Cha, Snowflakes and now UFO which in the same area had another brand of Taiwanese desert that I did not even bother to write on.

I have heard good feedback from my friend regarding on UFO another Taiwanese Deserts as they rate this second best after Snowflakes (click here). YES. . . UFO is not actually the alien UFO is just a taiwanese desert shop with the catchy name. Since its nearby my work area, I gather my colleague to have dinner then come by for deserts after that.

UFO Taiwanese desert is located in the heart of SS2 with its super big billboard that is hard to miss, which is the same row of Police Station.

Of course we are here to try on their ice series .. .

I guess this is how the name par on it, with UFO calling number. It will vibrate when your order is ready.

always wanted to start order with Soya series but it was out of stock so go for their classic range, Grass Jelly series. . . .

Grass Jelly with 3 toppings (mini taro balls, red bean, pearl)

Ai Yu Jelly with glutinous balls

Matcha Special @ RM 6

Overall in this outlet, Grass Jelly certainly have its taste which is pretty strong and did not dissapoint us at all and the best series I would recommend is their Matcha or Green Tea Ice Series that have strong taste of green tea and pair very well with other ingredient and all of us agree that its one of the best to look for in this shop.

Price starting from RM4.50 (1topping) to RM6.00 (3toppings)

If you wanted to order their bubble tea, just save your money and order the ice series. Pretty disappointing.

Absolut Vodka Cocktail @ Ecobar

Few days ago went to Absolut Vodka event that held in Ecobar. A event which is truly unique by itself. How many of you have not heard about this brand before? Well, usually I love to see the shelf of Vodka in airport as constantly they do have their limited edition bottle of flavour, and I do collect their limited edition if by chance I came back from travel, till date I have collected 7 different flavours and bottles. Besides that, its one of the world’s best selling international premium spirit.

Absolut Vodka the main item for the night.

What I mean unique is that we get to do the mixture ourself and its interesting to learn it by how many ml of liquor x with how many amount of mixer to get the perfect combination.

Those who love to do the mixture on the stage will get to bring the tower back to their table for drinks` look how happy Louise are when she heard this. She directly jump up.

I got my share too . .:D When I saw this tower I was like OMG!! CAN I take this back. Then the girl told me..sorry, you can’t take it back , you can just enjoy it here. I was like…aiii. .. Love the tower so much as it looks so cool.

So lets head to my table and lets drink. what we always do is Sharing is Caring. .

My Vodka mixture is Vodka Orange and Vodka Lemonade.

This is what happen when you overdoze alcohol yourself. You trying to plug a phone handle onto the alcohol tower then ‘Hello’?

As the night pass, they have a few games and the prize are pretty interesting. So a few of us took chance to went up. Its something quite simple and you get to win pretty good price. . .

We are all the lucky winners from the stage contest. Evelyn and Mike got the China limited edition Vodka and I got the luggage tag. . Weeee .. ~

And of course the sexy Samantha is there too . .

It has been a while since I attended an event filled with many of my drinking friends, and its good to see all of them here. Of course when the whole group is there, its a great night out.

Chicago Rib House Serve nice Porky Meal @ 1-Utama

I guess most of us know that 1-Utama is doing a make over on the old wing, with its new phase on completion soon, it had turn the whole place another new area so as me and my friend now say..new new wing or new wing? 😀 Chicago Rib House

Lets put that aside and one of the new outlet we found that got sell PORK! yes…I say PORK is this place called Chicago Rib House which is located at new wing few doors away from the old Italianese. Their first outlet is in Penang and I have tried once . . Now we have decided to give it a go again~

A newly open place and its full house .. 🙁 as the attended is pretty attentive, while waiting,t hey explain the menu to us. .

The whole concept is totally different compare to the Penang outlet. Its more cozy and comfortable with a bit of modern touch.

Of course you can see all the cute piglets on the wall . . .

and which part of pork do you want to have tonight?

I just love their bar, more like lighted up in neon style. . .

You can go for their draft along with their happy hour. . . .

I like their menu, as in newspaper style .. .

To kick start our night, we ordered a few cocktail to pull us right first. . .

Cocktail order

Classic Mojito which consist of rum, soda water, sugar syrup, crushed mint leaves a dash of freshly squeezed lime juice and a stick of fresh sugar cane.

Ocean Mojito

Lychee Mojito will certainly suits girls alot. You just drink drink drink non stop cuz its a bit sweet with lychee, hahh hahhhhhh..when the kick starts to kick in. . you will be either floating or planking on the floor. . .:D

Mai Tai – which is certainly the word suits the drinks. A strong drink infuse with alcohol as you don feel the strong taste of it. Overpower by the taste of pineapple .. drink more you will see the effect~

After some tipsy drinks, we kick start our meal with Trio Sampler @ RM32.90. Â Pork Chili Con Carne. It is accompanied by the the other 2 Trio Sampler members which comprise of Hot Buffalo Wings and Potato Skin. Love the potato skin`

And take your Corn chips dip out the Pork Chili Con Carne and put it like that, its just perfect!

Pork Ribs (Full Rack, Flaming Kansas City) @ RM59.90 with 2 side dishes

This is not just ordinary slab of pork ribs. or I would say one of the more unique item in this restaurant.

its accompany by the small little shot glass there, as they are going to bath the ribs with bourbon. . .

Then they going to lit it up and burn it for a while to let the taste of the bourbon burns into the meat. While eating the ribs, you wont actually feel the taste of the alcohol but the after taste of a bit liquor makes it even better.

Before you are eating the pork ribs, you will be given a napkin and I love the quote, Caution, Porking in Progress … I have finish one of the ribs and will proceed to another process. . .

Pork Ribs (Full Rack, Original Flavor) with 2 side dishes @ RM53.90

Love the classic sauce which taste more towards a bit like bbq n enhance with abit spicy chili in it. Love this one too . .

Grilled Bourbon Chicken @ RM27.90

Two grilled boneless chicken breast topped with their signature bourbon sauce and sprinkled with mixed cheese. For the side dish, please choose the rice. as the rice is good!

If you love pork a lot and prefer more on meaty, this is definately one of your choice . 8oz. Pork Tenderloin @ RM32.90 grill to perfection that the meat is still soft after grilling, and the marinated sauce on it is just perfect and to bring it up more outstanding, right at the bottom of the meat, they include their own home made apple cinnamon dressing which is a bit sweet in taste yet pairs along with the pork very well.

Seafood lovers like my friend, they finish this Shrimp Olio @ RM32.90 just within minute, where you can see how generous of ingredient they had given in this plate. lots of shrimps .. .

Hickory BBQ Bacon Burger @ RM29.90

AS another star for the night, when you prefer something a bit budget yet satisfying, this bbq bacon burger is certainly worth to try. Its huge pork patty with melted cheeze and bacon just bring out the taste.

after this heavy heavy dinner, a full dinner must end with desert to make it complete for me. . .Brownie Royale @ RM12.90 with the brownie is not too soft also not too sweet, yet top with vanilla ice cream just nice.

Satisfying meal for me and my friends, I would say, there are not many porky place available around the area, this restaurant definitely stood out. . Recommended shop~

I have always love F&B industry. I just do not know why, as my passion grew stronger in this industry. Just wish one day I can own one cafe too. Its like how I feel very happy when I heard any of my friend are into F&B business, with most of them are quite successful. Another friend that I am proud off that he started his small little cafe Coffee Chemistry Signature which is quite well know among my circle of friends that located in Sunway Giza (click here) and now he had expand to a new classy and bigger outlet.

Since he just open his new outlet, me and my friend just head there to had a simple dinner and also to try out some of their new range of food.

With new rebranding under Coffee Chemistry Signature that located on the ground floor of newly open First Subang Mall that host a few famous brand like Overtime, Library, Chatime and a few more.

Coffee Chemistry Signature had a totally new concept compare to their first outlet as I guess that they have improve more and had turn to a more serious restaurant now.

A place which is more for dining purposes that had divided into two sections.

They also have a more private sections which can host about 8-10 pax at one go.

For students or more leisure working people who like a place to chill can head to their cozy sofa area, sunk your ass there, order a drink and you can just relax there or can make yourself busy.

Busy as in they have many types of board game for you to play.

Flipping thru their menu, they have extend more food and choice of drinks already.

Hong Kong Bubble Milk Tea – Dong Cha @ IOI Mall, Puchong

It is very funny that how year 2011 suddenly boom with so many international franchise bubble milk tea in Malaysia, especially those brand from Taiwan. First start off with Cha Time, Gong Cha and a few more brands from Taiwan, then come Ochado from Japan and now Dong Cha is from Hong Kong.

Whenever I drop by IOI Mall Puchong, I tend to try out this brand more and found that they have some good drinks. Dong Cha is located at the Ground Floor of new wing in IOI Mall, nearby the escalator.

Dong cha have something different compare to other bubble milk tea outlet is that they have this little snacks, Wagashi that is made fresh right in front of your eyes that is a assorted hot cakes filled with different fillings in it.

I read in the net, saying that Wagashi is from Taiwan that makes a little combination of Taiwan and Hong Kong in Dong Cha.

They have a few flavors and size to chose as in this picture is the Jumbo Wagashi

Italy Coffee With Cream
Matcha Red Bean With Cream
Peanut Cream With Mochi

quite a huge range of drinks to choose from in Dong Cha.

Compare with other outlet, I like their Moose Tea which the tea flavor is more thick, the creamy filling that mix along does not make it too milky and its just nice. If you are saying Moose tea version, Dong Cha stood up.

Price is very reasonable and for around RM5 you can get a big cup already.

Then Kelly have never tried this brand of Milk Tea before, she decided to give it a try. End Result, my fav brand still the best in Original Pearl Milk Tea.

And as we were very full from our dinner, we opted to try the Wagashi in smaller version.

No doubt that the aroma of the Wagashi is very very nice in smell, texture is like cake and do not eat it while it hot, just let it cool down a bit and it will taste much better. We tried, their Original Flavour, Chocolate and Peanut. I like Peanut and Original flavor more.

Well, its another bubble milk tea brand for you to try out.

Zen Q Taiwanese Desert @ Sunway Pyramid

I guess by now most of you out there already have your favourite taiwanese drink, where some of my friends love ChaTime, Gong Cha, and a few other brands and I am sure that we are all spoilt with choices with the latest addition of another Taiwanaese brand Desert which had just landed to Malaysia which is Zen Q Desert also origins from Taiwan and this is their first outlet in Sunway Pyramid.

I would rate this shop more like a Chatime and Snowflakes cross over to come out this if you are saying on our local market that filled with Taiwanese desert brand.

More on green colour on ceiling and wall also on their bar counter.

They do not have long list of menu but a menu which is simple enough for us to make our choices.

After you place the order, the people from the bar counter will start to prepare accordingly.

Our first try order for the night is : ZenQ Signature

ZenQ Signature that comes with taro, grass jelly, pearl crystal jelly and a few more

The ice base is covered with grass jelly flavour, taro balls is quite chewy and like the crystal noodle as overall i prefer snowflakes brand over this.

This is something which I do not really enjoy is this Taro Sago @ RM 6.90 where the base is filled with sago then taro base soup is pour ontop. For the first few sips it taste awefully good, as the time proceed, I find it more and more ‘jelak’ as we only manage to eat halfway true. I do not know how to enjoy this.

One thing I am really impress of this brand is their drinks series, which we bought ‘Milk Tea’ which really can be on par with Chatime that the taste is quite strong in taste, not too milky n sweat and ‘Aiyu Baby Pearl Winter Melon Tea’ is the best Winter Melon Series so far that easily beats all other outlets. Yay, now I do have another brand to choose from, and you are seriously pampered with many choices.
