Last trip a few of my best friend came down to KL for holiday. Then I was introduce to another fish head bee hoon shop in Kuchai Lama area. I did not know that, there is actually another shop too in the very same area, Win Soon Fish Head Noodle .

Win soon (1)

It was dinner time and the place was quite pack. Manage to grab a just only table to accommodate for all of us.

Win soon (2)

Latest menu as per my visit [March 2016]

In the menu, it is not much different compare to other shops that I have eaten so far.

Win soon (5)

As usual, I would order ‘Fish Paste and Fish Head Mee Hoon RM7.50. The soup base is not as strong as the other 2 stalls that I have went but still its not bad a taste of its own.

Win soon (6)

Then Tatt order ‘Fried Fish Head’ (Big) RM12.80. Its good. Crispy on the outer layer of the fish and the fish meat is soft yet the a bit salty gives the taste of it. All of us just hantam it.

Overall, I still like Kafe 2369 Fish Head Noodle cuz of the soup base aroma is strong enough.

update march 2016 : their quality had drop and no longer as good as it used to be.

We were out of idea of where to eat, very undecided then what they have suggested I do not like, what I suggest they don like. So ended up very cacat till went to new area to eat… Balakong~ Then Kenji mention that this place got very nice wrapped chicken. Then fast fast ask him to drive there.

When reach there and went in, I asked Kenji again, this shop can makan 1 ah… no people eh, he said you don talk so much, just wait and eat.

The very first order is ‘Yeong Tau Fu’. Its not bad but I have eaten better stalls compare to this, if their sweet sauce were a bit stronger in taste then would be good.

One of the thing that should not miss in this shop is ‘Chee Baw Gai’ (Paper Wrapped Chiken). When it was served, pass beside me, the keharum’ness of the chicken travels through my nose and instantly I was hungry.

Then they rest also ask me fast fast take picture la..hungry d..Then just snap 2 and even I cannot tahan wait to taste it. Finding difficulties to open the wrap but once open, its like just found a treasure buried inside the sand. The drumstick is flooded by the sea of thick gravy and the smell of it..damm nice!

‘Vegetable stir Fried’ Something simple and nothing to boost about.
‘Sweet and Sour Fish’ if I am not mistaken. Crispy on the outer layer yet the mild sauce had accompanied well with the fish and fish meat is soft on the inside showing the sign of fresh fish, accompanied by a bowl of rice is a perfect combination.
‘Butter Milk Pork’ is something I thought yewww.. but I ended up eating 3 pieces. A very thin layer of crispy skin and the pork was deep fried well that did not make it very hard in the inside. The sauce is nice, buttery yet taste a bit of the Thai sauce from Kentucky and eat it while its hot, the fragrance is there.

I cannot remember the pricing as I have lost the receipt but I remember 5 of us and each of us paid around RM12-13 which is quite reasonable for such a dish.

My choice of recommendation is the ‘Chee Bau Kai’ (Paper Wrapped Chicken) which is their signature dish here. If you miss this dish is you don plan to have sex after getting married.

Last week, my friend know that I like to eat so they brought me to this place. Curry Fish Head is also one of my favourite although I do not really know how to eat it except for the fish meat. My first impression when I reached there was like ‘Oh..noooo, sure gonna be hot!’

As we reached pretty early, so the crowd is not so much and the parking space is quite alot. Can just park along the road side.

This is what I would call smoking zone with no air conditioning. They have another area with air condition. When I went in there, were just ngam ngam got 1 table left for us. It is already full in there.
As time pass, the crowd are pouring in during lunch hours.
I did not know what to order there, so let my friend order everything. So this came by for the first dish, Lala Fried with Garlic and Chili’. Clear taste, simple dish but fried to perfection. Got the ‘Wok’ taste and the garlic taste sure do stuck on the lala. Then every 1 was already having a piece of it. When the rice came, already half plate gone.
This is their signature item which is Jiong Jhing Fish Head’ The fish is very fresh as the meat of the fish is just so soft without the stinging taste of it. The best part of this dish of course is the gravy of it. It is black bean sauce with some chili and another taste which makes it so perfect to put on with rice. My friend was happily putting the sauce on the rice till like banjir. Some even just drink it like that. Was not too salty, and u would want more after that. Highly Recommended

Next would be the ‘Curry Pork’. The thickness of the curry is just perfect. The meat was soft and wasnt too hard till you have to much quite long to swallow. The curry is mild and goes very well with rice also.
The vegie is nothing special Vegie with garlic’. Just an additional dish to add along with it.
Overall, we were very satisfied with the food there, and the fish head was very big. The total bill came by RM77 with 2 fish head and the rest. The price was very reasonable for 7 people. Looking forward on returning there.

then you will see a traffic light on the T-junction. Turn Right and go all the way in till you reach a mini bridge and go forward not more than 400m you should see the restaurant on the right.

In the evening I had nothing to do so decided to drop by here, the ‘Khoo Kongsi‘ area to take some pictures before their big event. Cultural performance whereby it is a yearly event organise by them. To avoid the crowd I went 1 day earlier.

Official Penang Bull Mascot to be ready for the ‘bullish’ year ahead.
For the preparing of praying ceremony
Do not know until today.
I was on the way walking back then got attracted to this stall because of the banner cover all over the stall. Like hardcore promoting their food with alot of newspaper cutting and in alot of media before. So decided to give it a try.

The ‘tau keh soh‘ is very friendly by serving very fast as there are lot of customer waiting.

This uncle thought that I am a reporter for food, lol…Did not know I look like 1..he keep asking me to take picture of him in the stall, so decided to take for him. He was so happy like strike 4-d.

Even inside the kopitiam wall also got the news of the food.
This is what the food is famous for, because of Eel Fish Ball Soup. The fish ball is made of eel meat. They have 2 version of it, as I know how to read English only, so this is the section for you guys to read.
Well, actually there is nothing special about the noodle, but I must say that the ‘Eel Fish ball’ is so soft like a very fresh steam fish meat. Mix with the soy sauce, gives you the perfect taste. The noodle soup is like water. Tasteless. Mine is consider added Eel Fish Ball so it cost me RM3.50
