Sometimes its a tough decision when the question of where to eat pops up. Just at times do not know what to eat and decided to make a round at my neigbourhood area to hunt for food. Then remember that there are 2 huge food court available around the area of Kepong. This round trying out Kepong Food Court.

kepong kopitiam (1)

kepong kopitiam (3)

No difference like any other food court in Taman Megah or SS15, its another huge food court and I am lost again without knowing what to eat and even walk 3 rounds and still cant make up my decisions, find that this Kepong Food Court is not really complete.

kepong kopitiam (2)

Then ended up ordering Pork Burger that sells in food court.

kepong kopitiam (5)

and by looking at the uncle serve his food out of his stall, certainly capture my attention that sells authentic Taiwanese Food.

kepong kopitiam (6)

Choices are pretty decent as like  Taiwanese food all the main selection are there and decided to settle for this stall too.

kepong kopitiam (7)

Ordered the Sour and Spicy Soup Noodle and turns out to be very good. Its quite sour and the spicy taste will hit you after a while and if gives us the challenge to continue eating. Sprinkle with some chili flakes to make it more spicy. The set back is only the noodle is slightly overcook. Nevertheless still a great bowl of noodle for RM5.

kepong kopitiam (12)

After finishing my noodle and looking at the uncle busy serving this Braised Pork rice, it look and smells good. Then decided to give it a go. Love the braised pork sauce was added in and shredded pork slices are soft and flavourful along with rice is just another perfect combination.

kepong kopitiam (14)

Then I was given complimentary Chicken Feet as the uncle see us eat till so happy on his food. Its soft and love the light herbal taste on it too. I must say that for a Taiwanese Food in Kopitiam and at the price, this is surely a highly recommended stall.

kepong kopitiam (8)

My friend ordered Pork Noodle which is totally out. Don bother.

kepong kopitiam (9)

and here comes my Pork Burger from Big Boys Burger. Ordered it with extra cheeze and bacon.

kepong kopitiam (10)

kepong kopitiam (11)

No doubht for the pork patty is well prepared, season and quite solid. The taste is good for such a medium size patty that did not overcook with cheeze that just melted on the top that makes it perfect along with light saltiness from bacon. Overall its a nice burger pricing at RM 11.90. Find is slightly overprice but nevertheless a good try  . .

If you do come here, Taiwanese Stall is the most highly recommended and do let the uncle know that not to overcook the noodle.

Right after the meal at Crystal Jade (click here), we went for a stroll and 30 minutes after that, my friend told me must try one of the stalls in the Food Court – Mie Tarik Laiker. I told her I am still very full from heavy late lunch just now. She insist that I must try then I was like okay . ..

food court (1)

Went up to the top floor and I am certainly impress with the design of the food court in Grand Indonesia.

food court (2)

Huge seating and dining area. .

food court (3)

Like the whole interior design for the food court that build up with any woods.

food court (4)

Event the stalls. .

food court (6)

This is the stall that my friend insist me to try on, Mie Tarik.

food court (7)

Another set of ramen and I rate this as Indonesian Ramen. . 😀

food court (8)

Here are a few sauces for you to add onto the noodle as I see many people take Chili Oil, dark soy sauce and vinegar if not mistaken.

food court (9)

Here is my Mie Tarik that the noodle is springy and I order mine Mie Tarik Pedas and its surely very spicy, top with mince meat. Gravy is very nice not too thick that goes well with the noodle. Worth to try to those who visit this mall . . Recommended~

food court (10)

Another type of seating area. . .

food court (11)

As it heads towards off office hours, which is rush hour, and I notice my friend keep staring at the road I thought why, she saw a ghost? Only realise that she is curious why there are people waving to cars to hop on a ride not taxi. Then I explain to her that, during peak hours, on the highway there must be at least 2-3 passenger in the car, if not, police notice they will be fine! Therefore these people on the road side can be hired. Ask them to hop onto your car to fill up the quota then pay them xx amount of money (market price) then just drop them off any of the location.

Then worried that wont they be rob? Certainly no as they are looking for money to feed themselves or family. Certainly wont go till rob or there are cases that we are unaware.

Publika had bubble up with many F&B restaurants as it had become one of my latest hit place to hunt for food. After reading numerous blog on Fatboy’s Burger that I walk pass many times yet could not find many friends to go with until last few weekends. Some good review pull our expectation up on that day and gearing up ourself to hunt for this sinful big burger. The brand that originate from Singapore and now it had kick off their first outlet in Malaysia.

fatboys (1)

A outlet which is easily located right above the Non-Halal Food court (Eat Food Village) facing their mini staging area. We were there early that day as 11.45am still yet to open and I thought it was close for the weekend as I see many customers try peeking in, to check on their outlet including myself.

fatboys (2)

Well, they open 12pm sharp that day and instantly many people just dash in to get a seat for themselves and family members.

fatboys (3)

Settings of the ambiance is pretty cute as the wall are filled with cartoonic drawings and I find that the seating is a bit like modern canteen.

fatboys (4)

As Excited to see on the menu, I am totally impress with the wide selection of burgers and all description  look goods too me. Felt like ordering half of the menu. 😀

fatboys (5)

I also got to known that one of their signature is from The Milkshake Bar for drinks filled with thick Malt.

fatboys (6)

If you could not find any of the burger suits your liking in the menu, then you can customise your very own burger. This would be an interesting one on your creation.

fatboys (7)

First start of mine with Vanilla Malt Milkshake. It was heaven when I first sip it that its super thick that you had hard time sucking it up as its serve along with frozen glass. Love the texture which is creamy from vanilla ice cream and milk taste did not over power it. Just love this glass of milkshake as I love mine dense yet not too sweet. RM 12Recommended

fatboys (8)

Onion Rings is next as we saw the serving on next tables look so tempting and huge, as upon our order came, it came in different size that ours look much smaller and more oily. A bit dissapointed with this @ RM 12

fatboys (10)

Jamaican Me Hungry. RM19.00 – bacon stuffed pork patty topped with sundried tomatoes, chewy bacon, homemade coleslaw and smothered with mayonnaise on sesame seed bun.

fatboys (11)

Well, this certainly did impress with the pork pattie grill to perfection as it is not overcook, yet can taste the pork texture that is a bit chewy and filled with bacon and I added on mustard sauce to perfect it.

fatboys (12)

AS do not know what to order and came this sign recommended which is their signature is Fat-Basterd @ RM 28 –  sesame bun, extra thick double beef patties, extra thick bacon, cheddar cheese, fried egg complete with Fatboy’s homemade BBQ sauce

fatboys (13)

Its a huge burger and I think it just fit me perfectly. :p homemade BBQ burger was perfect with egg and cheeze, sadly the patty was overcook and it is dry and well done. If it was in medium well, then perfect.

fatboys (15)

Mahalo @ RM18.50 is another pork burger that we order. More like Hawaiian style

fatboys (16)

Wimpy @ RM 19

Since in the menu mention that the burger are serve medium well, on the day itself they all serve all Well done which is very dissappointed on the serving on the beef patties. Nevertheless, I can say that they do not have the consistancy as my friend went a night before, she said that the patty was done medium well and it was perfect. AS for the pork is quite alright.

Well, shall go another round to try out and for 4 of us to dine a total bill of RM150 I find it reasonable. I hope that my next visit I will request my patty to be medium as to be on the safe side. Would encourage to request rather than leave what they mention in the menu.

ham chee peng (4)

Many of the siblings are helping out from making process and some of them taking care of the deep fried process.

ham chee peng (5)

Price wise still did not change much starting from RM0.70 at the most of RM0.20 increase as compare to 2 – 3 years ago. .  I love their Horse Leg, Ham Chi Peng, Yew Char Kuih as I ate it this round and forgot to take pictures. Apologize!

The whole concept of the food court had turn into very old Shanghainese concept like back to the 1920’s. With classic wooden entrance, huge wall chinese classic painting on the wall will greet you.

As previously we were busy shopping all day long (click here for last shopping post), till it start drizzling outside then we came into Siam Paragon – Ootoya Japanese Restaurant for a stroll to see how a shopping mall different from Malaysia.

After a short stroll, we were all starting to get hungry as Goft plan to bring us to street food opposite this mall, because it rained, we had to dine in. As we scout around for nice food, Goft recommed us 2 place which is  a place for steak Tony Romas, which is a big no no as it is available in our country . .then next she suggested:

ootoya (1)

After reaching the place and just by looking at their displaying set outside the restaurant, all of us become hungry.

ootoya (2)

Ootoya Japanese Restaurant that is one of her favorite place to dine also which is located directly next to the food court, that had this little open concept area nearby the food court. After I google up I also found that they have a few branches in Singapore.

ootoya (3)

Did not know there are so many people, and we were told to be seated and wait for another 4 more numbers then reach us. While waiting, and all of them were so hungry, and have to start hunting in menu to find what we want, and once we were seated down, the waiter did not even move away as we were pointing here and there for the order.

ootoya (4)

Price wise pretty reasonable that ranging from 120 bhat – 500 bhat.

ootoya (5)

I like their green tea because there are a slight burnt taste of brown rice that I always prefer my green tea to have.
