After bubble milk hit hard on our local shores then what is the next buzz? Well, there are 2 actually as now little cafe’s are popping up in many corner and there are a few good ones and burger is also the next big thing here. One of the latest outlet to open its door to public is KGB (Killer Gourmet Burgers) that located the same row as Antipodean Jalan Telawi there.

KGB (1)

Its a small shop that operating around the area that soon to be filled with many coffee joints. Started off bout less than a month if I am not mistaken and its start to gain its popularity over the neighbourhood with a few bloggeres blogged about them.

KGB (2)

On our first visit we came it was rather dissapointed cuz we did not know the opereate only at night for the 1st month and for the following week, we decided to come back for dinner. STaff here are very helpful and friendly as they are explaining to us what to eat and try for first timer.

KGB (3)

Menu are pretty straight forward with what types of meat you prefer and there is not much to choose from which makes us easier to make up our mind.

KGB (4)

KGB (5)

chicken bites are pretty good though, fried to crips and the best thing to pair with it is their special made sauce. Light sourish end that goes well with it.

KGB (6)

Kimchi with Bulgogi Beef Fries @ RM 13.90

KGB (7)

this is another item that attracted our attention. Looks good but the taste is still room for improvemement as we did gave our feedback to them.

KGB (8)

If you cant take beef then this is one of the choices to go for. Seoul Chicken @ RM 15.90, find that the taste is bit funny.

KGB (15)

on the size of the chicken breast that they are using, its quite thick, and still juicy after fried.

KGB (9)

All their burgers come in their signature and one of the best is not only their patty is also their bun. I love it as its soft and fluffy yet toast to my likings.

KGB (10)

The Bobcat burger @ RM15.90 made with luscious green chili slaw & jalapeno mayo. If you cant take spicy then skip this as the spicy dont hit you instantly. It comes after that. To me its still okay.

KGB (11)

The Shack turns out to be one of my favourite in the list @ RM13.90 nett, the patty is fragrant and juicy top with a slice of cheddar cheese with Shack sauce sandwiched in the fresh, fluffy bread. I just called it Cheeze burger. One of the best in the list that wont go wrong. – Highly Recommended

KGB (12)

The Tornado @ RM15.90 – Looks big that filled with onnion rings, fried egg and fiery mayo. I expect this to be spicy because of the word fiery mayo but didnt enlighten me with that.

KGB (13)

I must say that the chef here are pretty good that able to make nearly all my range of burgers medium, that make it soft and juicy. All of us love it.

KGB (14)

this is one of the special homemade sauce. Its good!

Remark: Do take not that some of the burgers are filled with sauces and it might get messy . . Do take tissue to prepare. 😀

Every year, comes to any big festive season, its actually time to give back some to the community known as ‘Prosperity Gives Back’ . As for this year, which is the 3rd year and in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of the Prosperity Burger, the prime franchise in Malaysia is dedicating 19th and 20th January 2013 to raise proceeds for more than 60 local charity homes.

Not only that, the word ‘PROSPERITY’ stands for 10 values that McDonald’s holds dear, ” Happiness, Friendship, Love, Satisfaction, Peace, Abundance, Sharing, Family, Affection and Joy”. Prosperity Gives Back marks the first 2013 community initiative by McDonald’s to touch as many lives, as far reaching as possible across the nation. “Thanks to a generous donation from McDonald’s Prosperity Gives Back program, we were able to settle a significant portion of our expenses including the deposit and rent for our premises, at a time when we were in a desperate need for funds. This timely contribution ensured that the folks under my care continued to have a place where they could call home,” said Norma Safa, caretaker of Nur Home for the Disabled.

I will be there at Kota Damansara Outlet. See you on the date if any of you pop by.

One of the place that I have heard quite alot is this Sanbanto restaurant that serve premium pork. They do sell fresh pork meat on the spot and you can dine along in this little restaurant that have limited capacity. I have actually visited their 2nd outlet before heading to this one which is The Pork Place located in Puchong IOI Boulavard (click here for review). Its actually one of my favourite there, but find out there slight in consistency yet still good on overall.

Sunbanto (1)

Sunbanto (2)

As you walk in, you will be greeted with fridge filled with pork meat from all sort of part that is available and the price of pork in here is slightly above market rate but you can see the quality of meat is there.

Sunbanto (3)

See what I mean . . .

Sunbanto (4)

Sunbanto (5)

In Sanbanto cafe, you can also choose what kind of pork meat you need and cook instantly. You can choose from all available parts.

Sunbanto (6)

Pork Bacon sandwich was a total let down that they are like using Gardenia bread, bacon is over cook.

Sunbanto (7)

Sunbanto (8)

Sanbanto Bacon and Cheese Burger @ RM 17.00 (Sanbanto Home Made Patty with Straight Cut Fries). Not bad, as the patty is soft and just nice

Sunbanto (9)

Pork Bolognese with Home-Made Pappardelle @ RM 17. I have tried this in another branch and the taste is there. Like it and its the best among the rest.

Compare with both branch, I prefer the other outlet in Puchong – The Pork Place where I find that their food is much better than this outlet.

One of the places that I often heard alot which is this Andes BYO Pork Burger that located in Aman Suria, and finally, me and my friend decided to pay a visit as actually we were on the way back from Penang and since its on the way then just drop by. There are alot of bloggers are talking about this place and makes me wonder how good is the pork burger actually.

Well, its not so hard to find it actually which its located the same row as Betty’s Midwest Kitchen/ Kayu Nasi Kandar as its on the other side of it only.

Andes (1)

Ample of parking space you can find around the area, as it is a bit more quiet on this side. Therefore you do not have to worry that much even if it rains, that its just a few steps away from the nearest shop lot.

Andes (2)

On Sunday night, this place is a bit quiet as there are a few tables occupied.

Andes (3)

Love the setting of the outlet as its a bit more towards old English interior with red brick wall, old wooden tables and chairs.

Andes (4)

Food price in Andes BYO Pork Burger seems to be very reasonable and I am so keen on their pork range available.

Andes (5)

So what we order is this Porky Pork Grill @ RM 17.90. Looks like it had been perfectly grill with their own marinated sauce and turns out to be juicy and taste perfectly good. My friend is enjoying every bite of his pork. By dipping with the gravy along is very individual preference, either you find it spoil the taste or makes it better. For me, I prefer just to dine it original . .:)

Andes (6)

Aussie Bacon Burger Wrap @ RM15.90 is their signature pork burger and when I was serve in front of me, I am a bit surprise to see the thick and round the patty is is being serve. Smells good as their signature burger being serve along with bacon, coleslaw and fries.

Andes (7)

The patty is good, that able to maintain its juiciness of it and after cutting it, I can just see the cheeze oozing out from the patty. Indeed it was home made by the size and well mince that I get to enjoy mouthful bites from it and the problem for me is a bit hard to grab hold and need to open my mouth to the widest to get full bite of it. 😀

Pretty good for a pork burger being serve in this area, to make another visit back to this place, I would not hesitate as the price are very reasonable. One of the set back that I read from other bloggers that the QC in here are not consistent. Thank god that I had this meal in pretty good taste!

If you are hunting for Pork Dishes around PJ area, certainly would be one of the shop to look out for.

It has been a while since I last visited Pavilion that I have less reason to be there now after I have moved. Traveling down town is just being lazy except there are friends from overseas that came over or any special occasions or events to attend. Well, we bought a discounted voucher from a website to try out this outlet Morganfield’s which is doing a discount of RM 25 voucher for RM15 which i think about 40% off which quite a value buy, so we decided to give it a try.

Morganfields (1)

Morganfields is located at the GSC Cinema wings or directly next to Overtime Pavilion. One of the reason we to get this voucher as Morganfield is Europeanized American casual diner specializing in pork ribs. Pork Ribs how can we miss that? Not many outlet that serve that even the famous Tony Roma’s also serve without pork (which is their signature too).

Morganfields (2)

Standing right outside the outlet and it was full house on Friday night, every one just hop onto bar and restaurant to get out from work as its heading weekend to chill with friends, thank god that I made my reservations which I am used to it already.

Morganfields (3)

They have outdoor area too especially for smokers.

Morganfields (4)

I love their interior design or would love anything which actually have simen wall/ interior base that create their own style of ambiance.

Morganfields (5)

Happy Hour certainly a good buy . .

Morganfields (6)

Love this bar dining section as the cool dim lighting just lit it perfectly.

Morganfields (7)

Interior with red brick wall, wooden planks, tables and chairs just blend the whole concept very well.

Morganfields (8)

Morganfields (9)

I was suprise that I was given what they so called VIP room. Its great to be in here as it is quieter compare to outside with full house and every table talking, just imagine that. One of the set back in this room is, its a bit hard to look for waiter / waitress as it is a bit hidden.

Morganfields (10)

Long hot day, so we ask the waitress what is nice for such weather and Cucumber Apple Mint Spirit was recommended! indeed it is a great drink with hint taste of cucumber that mint taste blends in very well and apple base at the in make it a perfect start. – REcommended~ @ RM 13.90

Morganfields (11)

Mango & Lime Lassi taste good just that one of the set back of it is the lime and its skin was blend along too that make it bitter with every sip. If without the skin in it, it would have taste perfect. RM 14.90

Morganfields (12)

 Smokehouse Club Salad @ 17.90

Morganfields (13)

As all of them wanted to start off with some thing light then salad was the first dish to arrive. Chicken meat breast was being the top of it and nothing special to shout about.

Morganfields (14)

Cheesy Fries is something similiar to Dog food(click here)  that we have tasted yet much better as this is Morganfield version. The whole plate was covered by cheeze and with some dippings to go along, certainly if beer was pair along with this, its a good combination and for the price of RM 14.90, its a good bargain with its portion.

Morganfields (15)

I didnt have this much for Tequila Spiked Chicken @ RM 32.90

Morganfields (16)

Ribs & RibsRM 65.90

Morganfields (17)

The signature for their outlet, pork ribs, being grill to soft and their bbq sauce is nice to pair along with its meat and we have opted for 2 sauce in here, BBQ sauce and Black Pepper sauce. On my preference, I just prefer this with their in house BBQ sauce. Black Pepper just taste weird with pork ribs.

Morganfields (18)

Lamb Chops was a bit overcook as its had turn to solid meat, burn the taste of the lamb taste and if it were to cook a bit medium well, would have been just fine. RM 49.90

Morganfields (19)

I find this Pork Chops is one of the best after the ribs with its texture of meat is soft and blend well with their special sauce. Something to look after for the price that they are offering. RM 29.90

Then funny thing for the night is, I wanted to order desert to end my meal, all of them give me many excuses to order later with:

– wait la, 2 of them went toilet

– eh, you got eat desert after dinner 1 meh? I thought you don like desert

– wait for me to finish my meal 1st la.. I was like huh? order first la.. “wait wait wait”

– can I have the menu please, “har u want to order d ah” can you please just wait for the rest to come back?

– Me- where they go so long eh..I want to order my desert now! ” others reply – okay, we help you order right after we came back from toilet!

Morganfields (20)

To my suprise, cakes were served along with them and it was a suprise bday arrangement from them. No wonder I cannot order my desert. . .

Morganfields (21)

Morganfields (22)

These were the crazy friends that celebrated with me on 2 weeks ago.. Thank you guys~ Hugsss!~!~!~

Morganfields (24)

As every one left, I took again a picture of this area. Just love it.

Morganfield is one of the outlet I would just drop by for a drink as I find the food so so only, and on the pricing wise, its a high to pay for meal like this..

I prefer Chicago Ribs House (click here) over this, in terms of price and food quality . .:D
