Last 2 weeks, when I was working half way and got and suddenly got an email, 50% promotions on buffett at La Gomera Restaurant, I instantly open up to see what is the craze about and it was from a website doing this promo for only 2 days. I hit on Google and check out what is the comment from other bloggers and turn out to be not bad. . Moments later, my friend called up, saying lets go and try out, and I promise them instantly and think of where can we get buffet for RM29.90 nett and lagi lagi is Spanish food.

La Gomera

I think I would say this is the first of its kind, that La Gomera a Spanish Food & Dining is offering us buffet style that in business for less than 5 months.

La Gomera (2)

We reach there pretty late around 9.30pm as it stated in the vouchure that the restaurant open till midnight and there are no session in between which is pretty good as the vouchure only valid on weekdays.

La Gomera (4)

Inside its pretty comfortable but when I see the crowd inside the restaurant a big question mark pop up in my head.. after discount on the vouchure why the restaurant is pretty empthy?

La Gomera (22)

No Photos? I still take.. . .:p

La Gomera (3)

A few sessions is available starting from appetizer.

If you are craving for pork burger and you type the word in Google, guess which restaurant that pop out? CrisTang is no longer a stranger to most of the foodie, this is not an ordinary burger like our fast food chain or Ramly burger, when comes to the crave of this, I have been reading a lot of foodie blog about this place with certain selection which is must have or must try! Famous Pork Burger CrisTang

It was not until recently, I manage to drag my colleague to dine at this place which I have been wanted to go for so long~ In this restaurant, besides the famous pork burger, they have a unique dressing which is sambal petai to add onto the burger!

Christang

Cristang Restaurant is located at 8 Avenue Business Centre Seksyen 8 PJ, which for the first time I took the wrong turn and lead me to one big round to reach this place.

Christang (2)

It is a cozy restaurant that lightly dims . . .

Christang (3)

with some decorations feels like old english . . . .

Christang (4)

and the place of the restaurant is not huge, limited spaces are available as when we reach there, around 6.30pm, the place were arleady 90% book up. Only left 2 tables for us to choose from.

Advice: please make a reservation, if you plan to visit this place on the weekend~

Christang (5)

Christang (6)

A mini bar that serve variety of drinks and alcohol, especially Germen Beers.

Christang (7)

This are my siau bestie, colleague that makes them a good drinking, travelling and siau people to go along with but the day turns very miserable for one of them.

Christang (8)

This place cannot be denied that they serve pork, so piggy is everywhere with the pillow for you to sit on and to accompanied you eating too.

When we look at the menu, its full with temptations, with the description written in it, everything sounds delicious. Comes to a conclusion that, we start off with a must order item . . . . Besides serving their famous pork burger, they do have other selection such as pasta, western food and some local cuisine to choose from. Their famous pork burger with P1 – P9 to choose from.

I see Thomas Cup as one of the great matches like EPL but it’s the Asian version where most of the people in Asia, would watch this cup that host every 2 years. The last round that was hosted by Malaysia was 10 years ago and for the year 2010 Malaysia get to host one of the prestigious tournament at Putra Stadium, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

I have Google about this competition and the leading Cup winner is China, Indonesia, Malaysia and some other countries, with current Malaysian team playing at home ground, expectations is high and hoping to lift the trophy again as what Rashid Sidek era which was lifted once by Malaysia during year 1992, but this round they are encountering all time favourites China and Indonesia, that had line up a strong team for this competition.

I was lucky enough to watch get an opportunity to watch it live on this very semi final match that full with ‘kancheongness’ and hopes to prevail to Final and lift the cup.

I was here around 6 and the car park was FULL and the amount of people in this place is amazingly alot. I thought of buying KFC to eat but I see the line I also wanted to faint as the people are lining up a BIG S.

IMG_9441

While about to enter, Malaysian home fans already cheering, shouting, drumming and the atmosphere of excitment is there.

Thomas Cup

Indonesian Fans preparing to cheer and add in the atmosphere.

Most of the time when I drive around, my eyes seems to be like very kaypo, will scout around what is around the area. One is for me to remember it so in the future if I need to go to that area I know what I can tell people or I can go there easily. Second would be hunting for food to eat and this restaurant had always caught my attention when I always travel back from 1-U area back to KL as its well lit up at night and with its dim classic look, and told myself it’s a place must hunt and try.

Not until recently, I got a called from my friend Ee Lune, invite me to help her photo shoot for that restaurant, hopefully the owner accept it. At first I do not know what restaurant is that not until I got the information about, Google it and get all excited when know its that restaurant.

Castell

Castell (2)

Castell (3)

I love their restaurant setting with a bit old English style setting lit with orangey dim light that is very relaxing. A cup of beer in this restaurant is a must that I did not miss. Besides this area, on the upstairs they have a pool table and a mini bar perfect for those who love to watch soccer.

Castell (9)

The first serving of the day is ‘Mixed Grill’ which was serve in a huge plate and its full of ingredients, comes with sausage, lamb, beef, grill chicken and prawns. Its hard to shoot at first by takes me a while to find the right angle and this is the shot.

With its generous serving and comes with the price sure is no complain about it. Well prepared and it the best is the lamb, grill perfectly soft and tender and dip with the thick mint sauce is good.

Castell (10)

RM39

Castell (4)

Next is my choice of the day, ‘Stilton Special’ which is marinated in special sauce and grill it to perfection on medium as I prefer it topped with beef bacon and blue stilton cheese. The meat is so tender and juicy yet once cut it the juice flow out and wet the whole plate. Cut it into small slices spread the cheese on top and with another small cut of bacon eat together is top notch. If I have a glass of red wine, it would make me fly!

Highly recommended!

Castell (11)

RM68

Castell (6)

Castell (7)

One of the signature dish in the restaurant is this huge big bone and meat ‘US Prime Rib’ served with steam potato with mince meat, corn and fresh salad. It is a huge bone with a huge slab of meat. Deeply marinated and grill on well control griller makes the meat juicy and tender, dip with their home made special sauce, I just would not mind to have this whole plate by myself.

Castell (12)

To end the great meal must come with a desert, ‘Coffee Hot Fudge’ RM12.90

Castell (13)

Castell (14)

‘Hazelnut Friands’ RM8.90
After the whole shooting, I get to taste on the dish that they have prepared. Certainly the dish here is top-quality and I do not mind to come here again for second round becauseeeeeeee they have:

Happy Hour 3pm-8pm

Tiger Beer – RM9 (per glass), RM30 (per Jug)
Guinness draft – RM20 (1 pint), RM50 (3 pint)

The restaurant is overshadowing by the overhead bridge in front of it. Therefore not many people do drop by and currently its they have a new owner.

Fish Farm Thai Restaurant During New Year Eve, whole group of my best friend came down to KL to celebrate and then since they started to know I blog about food and they had arrange the dinner to be somewhere unique and dalam dalam. When they told me about the location of the restaurant I ponder a while, keep recalling what are they talking about and Google through it, there are a few bloggers mention about this place most of them without address. When got the address from them I was like haaaaa…middle of nowhere. On the way there, it took me a few guessing and turning before reaching this place and only I realize that, Ampang Lookout Point is just there. (then only I realise that, the recent outing of Thai food seems to have unique locations and ambience)

Vegie Fish Farm

If you head from Ampang, you will pass through Lookout Point and proceed further down around 500m-800m, on your right you will see this small gate. That is where to turn in which is a private property. Then will have to drive through about 5 mins with the rocky and non tar road up and downhill till you reach this very huge parking space and farms around.

Vegie Fish Farm (2)

This is how the location of the Thai restaurant looks like, build with wood planks above the ponds that filled with fish Koi. If you have phobia of the wood planks broke then you can be seated on this very hard solid ground.

Vegie Fish Farm (3)

It looked like a mini village and its sure impressive when I saw it.

Vegie Fish Farm (4)

The place that where they prepare the desert.

Vegie Fish Farm (5)

Vegie Fish Farm (6)

As I am the last one to reach, I got punish with this glass. I thought it was Barley but to my surprise that when I about to drink it, it smells so weird and the first sip, my face smirk till cant event see my eyes. It taste so awful and only learn that it is ‘Tody’ which is known as alcoholic drinks from coconut. This cup of drink definately not my type but my friend enjoys it alot. Small-RM 5

Vegie Fish Farm (7)

Menu offering variety of Thai food.

Vegie Fish Farm (9)

To dine with them, we will always not miss our very good buddy, Carlsberg, without them the meal wont be perfect.

Vegie Fish Farm (8)

Meal of the night kick start with ‘Tomyam Seafood’ very hot and spicy and its quite sour too. Seafood were fresh. RM15

Vegie Fish Farm (10)

‘Telapia Steam Limau Thai Style’ served with topping with chunks of garlic to enhance the taste of the soup and the chili to stir up some some spiciness as its something clear that blends well with the fish. RM33

Vegie Fish Farm (11)

‘Ayam Goreng Daun Limau’ fried cripsy on inside out and the meat is soft. small-RM15

Vegie Fish Farm (12)

This is the star of the night ‘Deep Fried Telapia’ which had been deep fried with very very hot oil that make the skin very crispy and it the taste of the salty skin then you pull of some of the fish meat to dip with the garlic sour chili sauce given it taste good. RM30

Vegie Fish Farm (15)

Sour Garlic Chili sauce.

Vegie Fish Farm (13)

‘Bayam Goreng’ nothing special about this. (Small) RM8

Vegie Fish Farm (14)

‘Lamb BBQ’ taste good with very well marinated (Big) RM15

Vegie Fish Farm (16)

‘Ketam BBQ’ with its hard shell and meat and it is always best to eat it bbq to ensure the freshness of Ketam is there. RM28

Vegie Fish Farm (17)

‘Tub Tim Krob’ RM5

Vegie Fish Farm (18)

‘Mango Sticky Rice’ RM8 as the desert not as good as it looks, by the end of the meal total bill comes to RM385 but to me, I still feel that Ah Roy Thai still served the best Thai food so far.
What I been told by my friend, this place is constantly full house. So go early to avoid dissapointment.
