In celebration of the season of giving, SStwo Mall truly brings to life the Christmas festive season with a larger than life Santa’s Toys Outpost built into its Main Atrium and Santa himself, on his motor-sleigh roving around the neighborhoods and local communities bringing festive joy and cheer to young and old alike.

With ‘It’s Almost Home’ as the mall’s motto SStwo has truly made it a season of giveaway for shoppers and visitors to the mall by offering a month’s long worth of festive promotions, free giveaways, weekly lucky draw and a grand prize draw at the mall from now till New Year (please see appendix A for more details).

Mr. Vincent Chong, Director of Operations for Asiamalls Sdn. Bhd. said,

“Christmas is really one of the Mall’s favorite festive seasons and we really wanted to celebrate the essence and excitement of the period with a fun and whimsical take on Santa’s workshop which would excite not the young, but also the inner kids in grown-ups as well. He excitedly added,

“More importantly, what really excites us about Christmas is that we’re really taking the opportunity to get into the spirit of giving by running multiple giveaways for our patrons and visitors to the mall from now till New Years! It’s really a Year End bonanza and giveaways that will excite all from young to old.”

Adding on, Mr Chong said:

“We’ve basically purchased the season’s latest Must Haves ranging from the much coveted Samsung Galaxy Note II, six units of the Samsung Galaxy SIII, a Samsung Galaxy Tab Two 10.1 and not to mention, a home entertainment system comprised of a Panasonic 50” Plasma TV, Philips Blu Ray Disc HTS, Sharp Plasma Cluster Air Purifier and a Philips Micro HiFi CD MP3 USB player all for giveaway!”

Mr Chong was on hand to give away the Samsung Galazy SIII to first weekly winner at SStwo Mall’s Lucky Draw. During the prize giving ceremony, Chong Yen Ni, 21, was excited beyond belief at the Christmas present come early for her.

“This was the first time I had entered in a competition so I didn’t think I’d actually win! I come to the mall as it’s very convenient for me and usually have dinner here with my family. Having just finished my exam, this is a great Christmas and post-exam treat. I will definitely be entering in the rest of the contests.”

With one Samsung Galaxy SIII already given out, there still remains a whole slew of prizes up for grabs. Last weekend at The Curve, Tiger Street Football returns to the streets again, as this year will host again fast-speed battles that showcase the mastery of skills needed for this 5-a-side street football, 32 local teams selected from across the country will battle it out to clinch the top spot at the National Finals where the champions will walk away with US$3,000 (RM9,000).

Best of all, The Champion will represent Malaysia at the Tiger Street Football Grand Finals in Vietnam later in September for the coveted grand prize of USD30,000 (RM90,000) and the pride of being named “The Kings of Asia’s Street Football.”

The deal do not just stop there as top four local teams from National Finals on August 25 will meet teams from France, Netherlands, Australia and Thailand to win additional prize money worth USD5,000 (RM15,000).

Tiger Street Football is a fast-paced game consisting of two 6-minute halves and a 2-minute halftime period which promises to be an adrenaline-filled game for players. Played in a unique oval cage with no sidelines, Tiger Street Football requires a high level of skill, flair and control, as the enclosed playing field does not accommodate high arching passes or long balls, which are essential in association football. Taking things up a notch, Tiger Street Football adds an interesting element to the game by surrounding the playing field with a solid lower parameter, which allows players to deflect the ball off the side walls to pass and score. Perhaps the toughest rule of all is that Tiger Street Football only allows one player from the defending team to enter the penalty area, failing which the opposing team will be given a penalty.
