Neighbours Coffee Bar is one of the latest cafe in this Happy Garden. The whole thing is still rather new with a very simple decoration, huge pale white wall with some plants hanging and coffee area is the center stage of the shop decor.

Tried out their coffee and it turns out to be good. Its been a while since I last tried a nice coffee and of course nice coffee comes with a price but this place is still very decent as they are using single origin beans and ordered mine with latte only at RM 11

On that day we were on sheer luck as they were testing out their new recipe for cheese cake and it was a complimentary piece with any coffee purchase.

Honesltly the cake was not bad and with a few more touches they should be there. Soft, Fluffy and airy cheese cake with their single origin would be a good pairing.

Another drink that I am impress with besides their amazing latte art is this Hojicha @ RM 13. Love the pungent taste that gives you a bitter kick and a well balance of milk and the hojicha taste.

Before visiting this shop, already saw a few Instagram posting this picture and well came to order this too. Souffle Pancake – Fuwa Fuwa Pancake with Softserve @ RM 23

Do eat this while it is hot before taking too many pictures and become shorter after that. Not bad as I think they need to have some minor tweaking to make it perfect. Soft, mild wobbly and just that the base in there is still not that firm up yet.

This is their sigle origin beans taht they are using and we ended up order another cup that is black. Turns out to be much better where the aroma of it is even more fragrant, more fruitti, chocolaty. Recommended!

They do have brunch menu and will drop by again to try it out.

I was trying to hunt a stall of Wan Tan Mee around the area which was recommended by my friend. Then could not locate the stall and we randomly pick Mun Kee Steam Fish Head since it was the nearest to where I park my car.

Mun Kee Steam Fish (1)

There were not much people during weekday lunch, but certainly impress with their huge steam machine.

Mun Kee Steam Fish (2)

We were recommended by the auntie that their best seller are this few dishes. this is new to me as for the first time I am having Clay Pot KangKung @ RM 14. Turns out to be good as it is very aromatic with their little specials sauce which is salty and also nice aroma from mini anchovies. Sizzling at the base at the pot do make the vegetable filled with pot flavour.

Mun Kee Steam Fish (3)

Their homemade special tofu is also a good one where the sauce is little starchy and fragrant. Great to pair with rice. @ RM 16

Mun Kee Steam Fish (4)

Black Bean Steamed Fish Head @ RM 28

Mun Kee Steam Fish (5)

Fish head is pretty huge for the three of us, however I got one incinerator with me that can finish half of the fish herself. Fish head is fresh, pungent with black bean flavour and soy base do pairs well. Ginger taste is not overpowering where you can taste all 3 flavour with freshness of fish.

Mun Kee Steam Fish (6)

Only then found out that this place is famous for their steam fish head among my blogger friends. Total bill is RM 67 and think it is pretty decent.

I have drive pass this place numerous time and constantly ask why is there such a place in the housing area, only then found out that Lucy Fried Pan Mee actually is one of a hidden gem in this neighborhood (Happy Garden or the verge of Kuchai Lama) where they serve great Fried Pan Mee – quite a unique dish. If you are sick of modern food, then back to basic where this staple food will impress you. Used to cook by the mom where found out that she is ill at the moment and took over by her son.

Do have patience to wait for this uncle to cook as he might be slow where I suspect he have Parkinson Disease with his prominent symptoms – shaky hand.

Lucy Stall (4)

Their menu is in Chinese and I do not know how to read, so ask the uncle to introduce.. Then we order their classic dish are both Pan Mee Soup and Fried Pan Mee.

Lucy Stall (5)

I am in love with his texture of noodle which is so soft, slightly chewy and the texture is so smooth. By looking at the dough when he rolls it, knew that the noodle is gonna be amazing. Soup base is clear soup with mild flavoured broth that he cook in the morning to get the bones flavour out, and to make it sweet, he uses some Chinese Cabbage.

Lucy Stall (6)

Their fried version is their signature where is consider one of a pretty rare dish, with many perception that Pan mee have to be in soupy base. However their Fried Pan Mee is fried with wok hei, noodle is springy and sweet and saltiness from their dark soy sauce is well balance. Adding in anchovies to give you the crunchy salty taste. Best of all do add in their homemade chili. I added 2 into my noodle to give you extra kick of spiciness. AWESOME!

Lucy Stall (8)

According to the uncle best friend where he sat down with us and chit chat further, all the ingredients are bought fresh from the market in early morning, will then cook the broth fresh for a few hours till the aroma is out and only start operating from 10am – 3pm only.

For this place, if you like homecook version, this is certainly one of the place to be.

Total damage is RM 16 with 1 100 Plus.
