Chicago Rib House Serve nice Porky Meal @ 1-Utama

I guess most of us know that 1-Utama is doing a make over on the old wing, with its new phase on completion soon, it had turn the whole place another new area so as me and my friend now say..new new wing or new wing? 😀 Chicago Rib House

Lets put that aside and one of the new outlet we found that got sell PORK! yes…I say PORK is this place called Chicago Rib House which is located at new wing few doors away from the old Italianese. Their first outlet is in Penang and I have tried once . . Now we have decided to give it a go again~

A newly open place and its full house .. 🙁 as the attended is pretty attentive, while waiting,t hey explain the menu to us. .

The whole concept is totally different compare to the Penang outlet. Its more cozy and comfortable with a bit of modern touch.

Of course you can see all the cute piglets on the wall . . .

I just love their bar, more like lighted up in neon style. . .

You can go for their draft along with their happy hour. . . .

I like their menu, as in newspaper style .. .

To kick start our night, we ordered a few cocktail to pull us right first. . .

Cocktail order

Classic Mojito which consist of rum, soda water, sugar syrup, crushed mint leaves a dash of freshly squeezed lime juice and a stick of fresh sugar cane.

Ocean Mojito

Lychee Mojito will certainly suits girls alot. You just drink drink drink non stop cuz its a bit sweet with lychee, hahh hahhhhhh..when the kick starts to kick in. . you will be either floating or planking on the floor. . .:D

Mai Tai – which is certainly the word suits the drinks. A strong drink infuse with alcohol as you don feel the strong taste of it. Overpower by the taste of pineapple .. drink more you will see the effect~

After some tipsy drinks, we kick start our meal with Trio Sampler @ RM32.90. Â Pork Chili Con Carne. It is accompanied by the the other 2 Trio Sampler members which comprise of Hot Buffalo Wings and Potato Skin. Love the potato skin`

And take your Corn chips dip out the Pork Chili Con Carne and put it like that, its just perfect!

Pork Ribs (Full Rack, Flaming Kansas City) @ RM59.90 with 2 side dishes

This is not just ordinary slab of pork ribs. or I would say one of the more unique item in this restaurant.

its accompany by the small little shot glass there, as they are going to bath the ribs with bourbon. . .

Then they going to lit it up and burn it for a while to let the taste of the bourbon burns into the meat. While eating the ribs, you wont actually feel the taste of the alcohol but the after taste of a bit liquor makes it even better.

Before you are eating the pork ribs, you will be given a napkin and I love the quote, Caution, Porking in Progress … I have finish one of the ribs and will proceed to another process. . .

Pork Ribs (Full Rack, Original Flavor) with 2 side dishes @ RM53.90

Love the classic sauce which taste more towards a bit like bbq n enhance with abit spicy chili in it. Love this one too . .

Grilled Bourbon Chicken @ RM27.90

Two grilled boneless chicken breast topped with their signature bourbon sauce and sprinkled with mixed cheese. For the side dish, please choose the rice. as the rice is good!

If you love pork a lot and prefer more on meaty, this is definately one of your choice . 8oz. Pork Tenderloin @ RM32.90 grill to perfection that the meat is still soft after grilling, and the marinated sauce on it is just perfect and to bring it up more outstanding, right at the bottom of the meat, they include their own home made apple cinnamon dressing which is a bit sweet in taste yet pairs along with the pork very well.

Seafood lovers like my friend, they finish this Shrimp Olio @ RM32.90 just within minute, where you can see how generous of ingredient they had given in this plate. lots of shrimps .. .

Hickory BBQ Bacon Burger @ RM29.90

AS another star for the night, when you prefer something a bit budget yet satisfying, this bbq bacon burger is certainly worth to try. Its huge pork patty with melted cheeze and bacon just bring out the taste.

after this heavy heavy dinner, a full dinner must end with desert to make it complete for me. . .Brownie Royale @ RM12.90 with the brownie is not too soft also not too sweet, yet top with vanilla ice cream just nice.

Satisfying meal for me and my friends, I would say, there are not many porky place available around the area, this restaurant definitely stood out. . Recommended shop~

Coffee Chemistry Signature @ First Subang Mall, Subang

I have always love F&B industry. I just do not know why, as my passion grew stronger in this industry. Just wish one day I can own one cafe too. Its like how I feel very happy when I heard any of my friend are into F&B business, with most of them are quite successful. Another friend that I am proud off that he started his small little cafe Coffee Chemistry Signature which is quite well know among my circle of friends that located in Sunway Giza (click here) and now he had expand to a new classy and bigger outlet.

Since he just open his new outlet, me and my friend just head there to had a simple dinner and also to try out some of their new range of food.

With new rebranding under Coffee Chemistry Signature that located on the ground floor of newly open First Subang Mall that host a few famous brand like Overtime, Library, Chatime and a few more.

Coffee Chemistry Signature had a totally new concept compare to their first outlet as I guess that they have improve more and had turn to a more serious restaurant now.

A place which is more for dining purposes that had divided into two sections.

They also have a more private sections which can host about 8-10 pax at one go.

For students or more leisure working people who like a place to chill can head to their cozy sofa area, sunk your ass there, order a drink and you can just relax there or can make yourself busy.

Busy as in they have many types of board game for you to play.

Flipping thru their menu, they have extend more food and choice of drinks already.

Best coffee Served at Coffee Chemistry Cafe – Cubic Plateform @ Sunway Giza

About a year ago, Sunway Giza used to be quite a deserted area to be hang out with as I remembered for the very first time when I visited the place about a year ago, it was very dead where about 2-4 FnB outlets were operating in the area and now, the whole place is so happening. That now house a lot of FnB and bars too besides simple grocery shopping, and now a lot people head to Sunway Giza for happy hour and friends meeting up. One of the place that I have been a lot of times that I just didn’t blog bout it till now, as all of you sure know a pub which is quite happening in the area Movida, which is one floor above them, hidden one very hidden gem, Coffee Chemistry,Cubic Plateforms that now known by many people for its good coffee, hang out place, for many friends and families

As when you opened the door, you will be a bit shock that HTC and Digi are in it too then smack this little cafe with them.

Where alot people hang out here where I observed many of them are coffee lovers that just come by here to have a sip of coffee with friends and family while just enjoying their time.

A mini kitchen that will blow your mind away with their very own recepi .. .

I am not a big fan of coffee drinker as I always order something unique then this caught my attention with ‘Roasted Almond Cafe @ RM 9.50. I find that the almond taste is just there that the coffee is not too strong to overpower it instead it pair up very well, and I just love my cup of coffee.

One of my usual in a cafe to start off with is Mocha @ RM 6.90, with very nice coffee art, and the chocolate makes the cup of coffee blends well, that is now one of my favourite. .

Flat White that covers with a very thin froth that is just nice to sip for a Sunday afternoon.

Many places are not able to served Iced Mocha the way I like and when I come across this icy drink, it was above my expectation that the milk is light, able to preserved the taste of coffee and chocolate taste in it with the ice cubes do not dilute it after quite some time, which is pretty impressive.

Then I asked the boss what is best to start off with and recommended Homecook Mushroom Soup @ RM 9.90, when this bowl of soup was served, while I was taking this picture, I just snap quickly and put down my gear to try it out, as the arome of the creamy milk just so nice, yet one of a unique taste of mushroom soup that I come accross, its not thick, yet mild creamy, filled with lots of fine chopped onion and mushroom, that makes me finish this whole bowl by myself. – Recommended~

For greens or healhty eating, they offer Salmon Caesar Salad @ RM 15.90

and Chicken Caesar I find it taste better in terms of the chicken breast is well marinated and soft that goes along with this light meal.

One of the dish that did suprise us all when he told us one of his best seller is Bacon Fried Rice that looks pretty dull plain and while put into our mouth, it was burst with aroma, with ‘wok hei’ with such a small kitchen, and it is very generous in ingredients that every mouth full is filled with bacon. Another dish to Go after!

Those who felt that would want to eat something light, Salmon Wrap @ RM 8.90

Another item that I quite like in their menu is Homemade Pizza (which I forgot this name of it), is very similiar to one of my favourite hawker pizza (Frankie’s Pizza) that made with home crust bread toast it then filled with lots of ingredient, cheeze just melted on top to make it a bit salty nice.

Beef Herbs Speghatti in Spicy Cream Sauce, usual I go on extra spicy, then this round I decided to try the beef and in normal taste. Love the creamy base of it with fine chuncks of onion, that I would prefer it without the green papper taste of it.

Al-Funghi Pasta @ RM 13.90

Filled with lots of garlic slices, onion and mushroom.

I would say that this place surely do served very good coffee that can beat many outlets out there, as the coffee is not too strong that can suits many taste bud even not for coffee drinker like me and the after aroma of it is mild and stays in our palate for quite a while that I just like it. For strong coffee drinker, you might not like the mild taste of it, with the quality, I am sure you will enjoy a bit.

Frames Cafe @ Sunway Pyramid

Usually in a mall we do not really know what to eat, as in Sunway Pyramid I do have a few favourite restaurants in this mall especially on their Asian Avenue side and last week, my friend had organise a makan session at this outlet called Frames Cafe that located directly at the main entrance or infront of Starbucks. . .The last time I came here for yum cha with friends this cafe was still called Friendster Cafe which I am very sure most of you would know it. .

Now they cafe do have outdoor area which is perfectly suitable for smokers and not only that, they do served beer too and have happy hour for that. Do drop by to find out more. .. . ..

The interior of the cafe is simple and nice as they decorated their whole wall with pictures in Frames that’s how their name came out. We also got to know that those actual pictures were not bought or download from internet as it was actual piece of photographer that they known or their friends of the owner of the cafe.

This sofa area sure look comfy to sink my butt on it.

Check out their price for beers to test on your eye . . .:p

At the strech of the photo or any photo around the cafe that you actually feel that you really like the picture and want to purchase it, they do sell and just ask for assistance.

Food range is very simple yet I saw quite a few dish I have in my mind to order which mostly their Chef’s Recommendation. 😀

Signature G Frost @ RM 8.90 which is one of their signature drink and with your Malaysian summer weather heating up, it is indeed very refreshing yet not too sweet. Nice.

Watermelon Lychee @ RM 8.90

Mango Lychee Kaffir @ RM 8.90 is one of the unique that combines with Kaffir yet not many people enjoy the taste of it and I find it quite okay . . . If you are advanturous, you should give it a try.

If you are a chocolate addicts and I would want to Recommend this drink Choco Berry Shakes @ RM8.90 that it is so addictive yet very nice aroma of berry in it, not so thick as I chat with my friends and keep sucking on it and the glass got emptied in just less than 5 minutes.

Fish Burger – which is their signature range comes with Deep fried dory with homemade tartar sauce, cheddar cheese, bull’s eye egg and caramelized onions. Served with tomato salsa and steak fries RM22.90 Good~

Beef Burger – Homemade beef patty with cheddar cheese, pickled gherkins, bull’s eye egg and caramelized onions, served with tomato salsa and steak fries @ RM 22.90

Chicken Burger – Homemade chicken patty with cheddar cheese, pickled gherkins, bull’s eye egg and caramelized onions, served with tomato salsa and steak fries @ RM 22.90

Diablo – Spaghetti tossed with olive oil, coriander, chili flakes and sautéed seafood is something healthy yet giving your taste bud a test on holding on the spiciness of it. It was not that bad afterall and comes to I quite like the simple taste of it @ RM18.90

This Chef’s Recommendation is also going to be my Recommendation as I have always love Carbonara range but I have never tried on or seen one before that have Spicy Seafood Carbonara – Spaghetti tossed with cream, chili flakes and sautéed seafood @ RM 19.90. Just perfect sauce texture which is not too salty that can coat all the sauce along with every spoonfull of spaghetti that I eat. Lurving it~

Trio of Pan Seared Tuna, Mediterranean Lamb Ragu and Crusted Salmon

Affagato @ RM 7.90

After a perfect spaghetti would always love to have coffee to go along before ending my meal and if you love ice cream to be inside your hot strong coffee then this is one of the option.

Chocolate Brownies is so addictive with its powerfull chocolate taste and add on with the chocolate fudge and top with Ice-Cream is definately hard to resist. Recommended~ RM12.90

With this new discovery of new found love for Italian food at this cafe, definately I am coming back for more and with a satisfaction meal without burning a hole in the pocket, I will be grabbing one of the promotion throwing out for this outlet: Frames Cafe

After shopping the whole afternoon, we head to this Paris Van Java Mall for a stroll and was told by my friends its a must visit place. One thing I like about this mall is the F&B area located directly at the sidewalk which is so convinient and under their cool temperature, it is very ideal to sit outdoor.

The sidewalk of all the F&B outlets ranging from, restaurant to bars. . .

One of our interest that makes us stop by for a drink while waiting for my friend to pick us up is this Manchester United Cafe Bar. I am sure that all of the Manchester United Fans certainly would want to wish to have a bar of their favourite football club in their city, to watch your football match with all the die hard fans together . ..

We choose to seat on outdoor area to enjoy its cool weather.

And the poster for the ManU 1st eleven line yp in 2010 season. . .

Their interior is pretty simple, cozy for dining and all the chairs wear jersey.

You can sit at your favourite can choose and be seated at the player you like, Macheda, Berbatov, Evra and many more.

Of course we would want to enjoy our beer session, San Miguel at this bar with their Happy Hour buy 1 free 1 at the price of ID30,000 if not mistaken.

Besides beer and Happy Hour, they do have quite a huge selection of western food available. ..

World Cup fever is on at the moment, no matter where you go, restaurant, mamak, coffee shop, pub or club as long as any where there are TV or Plasma, you will see people sitting there cheering and shouting for their favourite country. Sid’s Pub is one of the place to be.

Sid pub is located at Bangsar South one of the new development area, and I would just say, regulars who patron this place would go back constantly after that. Frank which one of the owner, greet every one of his customer including us and he believe that there are no boss – customer relationship just that every one in the shop are friends that never talk.

In the signage already mention that they are a pub in a friendly neighbourhood, therefore you can expect full house most of the time.

The interior is very classicly decorated with old pictures and news paper cutting with old wooden style on the ceiling to create the ambiance out similiar like England.

In the bar, they serve variety of shots, cocktails and few choices of draft to choose from, one of their famous one is Strongbow.

For me and my siau friends, we always stick with Guinness and the other one stick with his favourite Budweiser.

These are my two siau friend + Colleague..

One of the reason we revisit this place is, the Happy Hour for Guinness is RM17++ per pint all night long and the place close on last man standing, with this kind of hospitality, what could we ask for. . .
