In KL it is quite hard to find some place that serve nice instant cook Pork Noodle, and as one of the recent introduction by my friend Ian that turns out to be  one of his favorite place when comes to Pork Noodle soup, Restaurant Hong Cha that serve a mixture of Japanese home made sushi and their mains are Pork Noodle Soup.

Hong Cha (1)

Located in the heart of OUG right whereby pasar area, or infront of BP station if I am not mistaken is filled with a side by side kopitiam that flank this shop.

Hong Cha (2)

As I was told by my friend, they do sell in the morning/ afternoon session right behind at the corner coffee shop that most people would know and pricing its slightly cheaper compare to this shop that only cater for night crowd.

Hong Cha (3)

Price are pretty decent and there are other options too if you dislike pork noodle.

I was highly recommend by Ian to go for dry option that it actually separate the soup and noodle. Look at those chunky pork lard that they have added in and shredded pork along.

Hong Cha (6)

Then serve along with a bowl of pork soup that filled with some seafood. ‘Pork and Seafood Mee’ @ RM 6.50.

Hong Cha (7)

They are pretty generous with the ingredient that being added in with chunks of pork meat and best of all, which for the first time I came across they added some seafood, squid and prawns to make the soup base more sweet. Slightly salty to my liking with a fried garlic and oil being added on to make it a perfect bowl. Looking at the additional item I can add, of course egg is a must to be added to make it even better.

Overall, I still prefer my pork noodle soupy version and this place is still quite a decent place to dine for pork noodle during night time.  By my list so far, I still love the stall at Restaurant Win Heng Seng for the instant cooking pork noodle at Jalan Imbi.

This is one of my favourite place to go for lunch which I feel that the price is okay although abit pricey compare to other places like PJ or Pudu there. This shop is famous for this little stall during in the afternoon or lunch time.

This is called the ‘Chu Yuk Yuen‘ as what my friend told me. As there are 2 types, one which is dry that I ordered and the other 1 is soup. Both are equally very nice as the dry, they will put the yuk yuen in another bowl. It is very nice. Should try out. Was told that this stall is very famous.

This is whereby they put it into separated bowl for the dry noodle.RM6 for this.
As I was very hungry that day, so decided to order this from the Chicken Rice stall. It taste very geli because both of the thing is very cold. Like just took out from the fridge. Especially the egg. The taufu is still alright. Cannot remember how much is it already but the price is reasonable. Will try on the chicken rice next round as seems like alot of ppl order it also.
This has changed to become my favourite meal in this coffee shop already. Previously I used to order the Chu Yuk Yuen but then after saw that the lady cooking this and it looks very tempting, so I must say it taste very very nice. The stall is next to the Chu Yuk Yuen. Enough salty, all the pig spare part which is very nice, nicely cook and hot enough and the best part is you will sweat like hell, as the thing is very hot and the coffee shop also very warm so your sweat will be start dripping. RM 7 for this bowl as I ordered it big. About the name for this dish, I do not know how to called it so skip it. Sorry.

I would definitely recommend this shop for lunch dining in KL city area.

Location:
Jln Imbi directly opposite Honda Car Showroom.
At the Junction of the traffic light.
car park is infront of the Honda show room.

In the evening I had nothing to do so decided to drop by here, the ‘Khoo Kongsi‘ area to take some pictures before their big event. Cultural performance whereby it is a yearly event organise by them. To avoid the crowd I went 1 day earlier.

Official Penang Bull Mascot to be ready for the ‘bullish’ year ahead.
For the preparing of praying ceremony
Do not know until today.
I was on the way walking back then got attracted to this stall because of the banner cover all over the stall. Like hardcore promoting their food with alot of newspaper cutting and in alot of media before. So decided to give it a try.

The ‘tau keh soh‘ is very friendly by serving very fast as there are lot of customer waiting.

This uncle thought that I am a reporter for food, lol…Did not know I look like 1..he keep asking me to take picture of him in the stall, so decided to take for him. He was so happy like strike 4-d.

Even inside the kopitiam wall also got the news of the food.
This is what the food is famous for, because of Eel Fish Ball Soup. The fish ball is made of eel meat. They have 2 version of it, as I know how to read English only, so this is the section for you guys to read.
Well, actually there is nothing special about the noodle, but I must say that the ‘Eel Fish ball’ is so soft like a very fresh steam fish meat. Mix with the soy sauce, gives you the perfect taste. The noodle soup is like water. Tasteless. Mine is consider added Eel Fish Ball so it cost me RM3.50
