Who is Chef Edward Lee?

Chef Edward Lee’s story – and his food – could only happen in America. One part Southern soul, one part Asian spice, and one part New York attitude, Lee is a Korean-American who grew up in Brooklyn, trained in classical French kitchens, and has spent the better part of a decade cooking in Louisville, Kentucky.

Lee’s passion for food is only surpassed by his sense of adventure; it is, after all, what took him to Louisville from a successful career in New York City. In 2001, on a cross-country road trip, Lee wound up in Louisville during Derby Week, the busiest dining week of the year. On a tip from a friend, he sought out the eccentric chef of a local gem called 610 Magnolia, finagling an invitation to work in the kitchen for the week. Impressed with Lee’s passion and skill, the chef offered him the restaurant less than a year later, and his Southern adventures began. The rest is history.

As this Korean-American Chef Edward Lee, who has challenged culinary royalty on Iron Chef America and won, spent a week immersing himself in the heritage and cultural diversity of Malaysia by literally “eating his way through Kuala Lumpur” in a journey taking him from one revealing mouthful to the next.

Since the new Fernicular Train (click here)  is up and running, alot of tourist have flock this place to take an opportunity to head to Penang Hill as one of the main tourist attractions. After a short walk from the station, then as we walk pass by, we saw this unique hut that mention David Brown’s Restaurant, but the restaurant is no where to be seen.

That makes us more curious and we decided to head in and try out this David Brown Restaurant.

As you have to climb up the stairs, you will head into a garden area and there are more stairs heading up . ..

here is the front view and just get to know its a very classic English house that had preserve and did a make over of the place to maintain its classic heritage look.

If you seated futher out at the edge of the restaurant, this is the view you going to enjoy, Marvelous view over Penang. That is why, its not cheap . .Well, you pay for the ambiance and view. .

I would say, if you are looking for something more relax and something different for meal or afternoon tea, this would be a good place to hang out once in a blue blue moon . .

For most of the guys, we always do have a wish list that a few items that we must have. One of the item in my wish list is definitely a nice glam watch when I can afford on later stage in my life. When I get to know more about the brand, I grew the interest in checking up their official website on the watch collection that they have and I like the details of the watch, which is simple, elegant and sophisticated.

For year 2011, TUDOR redefine the brand to suits current resolution and sophisticated modern identity to balance up style and technical performance. As for this year, TUDOR launch and updated version of the TUDOR Heritage Advisor model which is one of the brand emblematic pieces also to maintain its unique value with six decades heritage homage.

In buffet we are usually pamper with choices, that many food to choose from and one bite each is enough to make us full till very satisfied. Now, a themed buffet dinners that available on Eccunino are Malaysia Heritage on Mondays, Seafood on Wednesday and Italian Cucino on Fridays.
