The name itself that makes me even more delighted to try out this shop. It is one of the new shop that had entered the busy little area of Kota Damansara. Rogers Delight is one of the shop that offer Nyonya Cuisine and a bit of own cook home recipe with the chef had more than 30 years of experience in US and being a person had retired and came back to Malaysia not that long, he still have the strong passion in cooking, inherite cooking from parents and preparing good food for people, that is where the new shop is born.
The shop is just located a few shops away from Snowflakes.
The dining area is definately very cosy with bright yellow orangy lights, filled with wooden tables and chairs.
To get your heads off for the day to make your face squirk a bit, try out their ‘Sour Plum Drink (kat chai suen mui)’ RM 5 for such a big glass and we find it worth the price with the thick blend of sour plum in it.
The very first dish was served ‘Lady finger with shrimp paste’ the aroma seriously caught our attention, with the paste had been fried till abit dry n very aromatic. RM8 (S) RM15 (B)
Their signature dish ‘Special Curry Duck with Yam’ is best to order 2-3 hours before the meal to get the best out of it, as the duck will be slowly cook in this claypot along with the curry to ensure the softness and tenderness of the meat blend well with the yam. RM18 (S) RM40 (B)
‘Curry Fish Head’ a dish that goes very well with rice, watery curry base with mild spiciness. RM28
Sweet & Sour Seafood with Pineapple @ RM20 (S) RM50 (B)
One of the dish that caught my attention too is ‘Pan fried prawn with assam’ it taste like laksa soup had been fried along with it till its dry. Taste awesome, with fresh prawns added in, as I like the asam taste a bit strong, get the gravy a bit to eat with rice, is good. RM20 (S) RM65 (B)
One of my favourite for the night which is not in the menu, consider it ‘Special homemade Taufu’, the gravy is thick in flavour very nice till me and Esther keep spooning on the gravy to drink. Recommended~
Star of the night for curry range is ‘Coconut Curry Prawn’, with curry cook till its a bit dry gravy and thick then pour inside the coconut to make it thick and aroma absorb into the curry.
‘Coconut Curry Prawn’ @ RM20 (S) RM65 (B) Recommended~
”Salted egg crab” is a bit more salty if you eat it just like that, but I sure do not mind licking all the side with the welll coated salted egg on the shell. (market price)
