From the ice cream cake it self, there are 3 types of for you to choose from. Hello Kitty face itself, with the other 2 with ribbon. There are 2 different flavours. Personally like the one with the Hello Kitty face as it is more sourish and refreshing. At least 5-6 elements are in it.

Hello Kitty x Creme de la Creme (6)

Kitty White @ RM 25 – white chocolate crust filled with Madagascar vanilla ice cream, strawberry passion fruit sorbet, passion fruit crème and crumble.

Christmas is around the corner and my highly recommended in this fridge is their Apple Pie Crumble. With nice aroma of spices of cinnamon, that did not overpower the ice cream yet hint of vanilla and pie butter crumble is prominent. From hot pie to cold ice cream. Lurve it.

Haagendazs (2)

Apricot Lavender

Made with lavender from the Mediterranean coast and plump apricots from Morocco and France, this recipe refreshes and relaxes the senses. The lavender entices the palate while a thick apricot sauce and generous scattering of apricot pieces bring a tartness that goes on to tingle the tongue.

Haagendazs (3)

Lychee Raspberry Rose

An intoxicating blend of rose, lychee and raspberry flavors. Inspired by the sweet allure of the world-famous Ispahan Macaron, this delicate dessert is crafted with rose extract from Turkish roses, juicy handpicked lychees from Taiwan and the sweetest raspberries to create a fragrant ice cream with the perfect balance of rose and sweet fruit that will exhilarate the palette.

My personal favourite would be Lychee Raspberry Roase as you can taste the balance of flavors where did not overpowering. Best to eat it while is solid as when it is slightly melted, the taste of ice cream changes too.

Haagendazs (4)

The “Little Garden” ice-cream and flower bundle is available for a limited time only on the BloomThis website (bloomthis.co) for RM 119 including delivery ( limited to certain Kuala Lumpur and Klang Valley areas) along with a pint of your choice.

Tried both of their version, and I prefer their Hojicha base over their green tea, where I like the little burnt rice taste of it.

Not bad for an ice cream where I prefer their Hojicha.

Awww, I must say I found my new love for dessert. I guess we have many trend going on and I believe homemade ice cream is the latest trend that alot of people are venturing into. With many prominent ice cream provider such as FortyLicks, InsideScoop and now with IDC Ice Dream Cafe had made it top in my list with their creative desserts worth to hunt for.

PA096637

Reading on other blogs, it seems that it is inspired by New Zealand’s Kapiti ice cream to create this brand out.

PA096639

Their interior is rather simple and after staring it for a while, it gives me the impression of a green house concept.

PA096640

A cozy seating home arrangement style at all the way to the back of the cafe.

PA096642

PA096665

I was told by one of the staff that everything is made fresh from their kitchen which they have plenty of unique flavours and its a clever flavour combination that they have done up. Not only that, the naming onto each ice cream is very creative too.

PA096667

Their menu is very straight forward but if you do read it carefully, it is very playful. It looks like they are ordinary scoops of the rich, creamy ice cream in an affogato, with waffles and crepes, or maybe classic sandwich, however they are not.

PA096668

PA096670

I always love to try my classic with waffles with one scoop of ice cream @ RM 16. A new found love of a perfect done up waffle. Love the perfect crust with slight crips to my liking, and there is a slight unique taste that definitely make it stood out compare with others out there and I top with one of their signature Ice cream for the day, Hokey Pokey which is honey inspired. (do note that their ice cream do change from time to time and this flavour might not be available)  Love the texture of ice cream which is smooth, slightly creamy yet burst with flavours. To pair with their coffee is rather interesting. Love the richness of arabica flavours that brings you back to classic kopitiam coffee taste bud yet a well balance of slight acidity at the end that balance it up and goes really well with my waffle and ice cream.

PA096679

If you think you have your taste bud tested, why not hunt after their playful Infused Affogato’s @ RM 12.  There are 7 flavours in total and I ordered mine with one of their signature which is Orange Zest. I must say the flavours are amazing, with a well balance of orange zest that brings you the freshness and mild sour end on your taste bud, yet their perfect affogato coffee flavour did not over power it yet my tongue can detect a nice balance of chocolate ice cream and great chocolate chip to bite after. IMPRESSIVE on how they did up the right balance of flavours for each layer.

PA096680

I was here to test 2 items and ended up it got me continue to order one of their super signature item which is

PA096686

Welsh Cakes @ RM 15 – Cranberry and lavender infused welsh cakes served with kapiti vintage Strawberry ice cream, topped with drizzled Honey and peppercorn sprinkles. Nothing much for me to elaborate as the flavours are amazing and left for me to say – a highly recommended item in the list.

PA096688

For a home grown brand, I am certainly impress with the creativity and quality of it. This outlet at the moment sits in my top 2 spot for best homemade ice cream .

If you ever craving for unique flavours of ice cream, this would be a highly recommended place for me.

It was a few more nights before I fly back to my home country after 2 weeks in Australia with one of a group of friends to meet, they were on fire as for dinner they brought me to a well known Kebab place which I will blog about it soon and after that it was a gelato attack Pidapipo Gelateria and where we hunt down 3 Gelato joint in Lygon Street.

Pidapipo (1)

I was told that there were several hype for gelato and the latest one is Pidapipo which some of them rate on of the best Gelato in Melbourne at the moment. Track back on it, Pidapipo is known for their authentic Italian style gelato with its silky smooth base that you could not really resist.

Pidapipo (2)

There is a long queue for this too and average waiting time is about 15-30 minutes depending on customers pace. You will have customer tasting on their flavours and some are undecided that make up this long waiting time.

Pidapipo (3)

Outlet is rather small as they only have 2 small tables inside and another 5-7 more tables outside the outlet.Pidapipo (4)

They have pretty good selection from Milk base to dairy free which is fruit base. Price are very reasonable too considering on the portion that they are serving.

Pidapipo (5)Pidapipo (6)

Pidapipo (7)

Pidapipo (8)

What I got here is Bacio & Mint Chocolate Rice and another cup is Hazelnut & Passion Fruit. Indeed that their Gelato is super silky smooth, creamy for milk base and no doubt is pretty good. Their Fruit base is definitely impressive. Will be a perfect selection for spring onwards as its so refreshing and passion fruit taste is pretty strong, just like eating the fruit itself.

Pidapipo (9)

Its great to meet up with them Brian & Sally whom are food lovers. Thanks for bringing me around and shall see you guys soon again.

Gecko (7)

Single Malt 12 years old Macallan – Ice cream is quite solid soft that pairs the taste of Macallan very well, that is not too strong, yet get to taste the alcohol is there and did not overpower the taste of vanilla. – RM 12

Gecko (8)

The super star of the night is this Guinness Flavor! It is exactly like drinking Guinness! I think would be very best to order a pint of Guinness and put a few scoops of this to make it like alcohol float! Recommended! RM10

Gecko (9)

Italian Kahlua, I would say more suits to girls as Kahlua already known by itself its a coffee liquor that is not too strong in flavour and best perfect to pair with milk and it is just right to go along. RM 10

Another Flavor is Johnnie Walker – Turns out to be not bad but have tasted the best above so my taste bud had overpower this flavor. RM 10

Gecko (10)

Bailey’s Mud Pie @ RM 10

Gecko (11)

I often had Mud Pie but never come across this Bailey’s Mud Pie that a soft warm chocolate pie is place on a mini sea alcohol of Baileys. The taste is warm, filled with alcohol and a perfect combination with ice-cream that makes it very unique in taste! – Recommended
