Italianese is one of a brand that I assocciate closely to Sofia Pizza (in Melbourne Camberwell) when I back to Malaysia and head to KL during my first job in KL. Known for their price is very reasonable and big portion that can feed 2 person easily, and now they are doing their special 7 Wonders of Pizza that is filled with 7 new exciting pizza flavors with limited time only.

If you are on diet and for healthy option, Sicilian Pizza is one of the selection to go with. Filled with Romaine lettuce in Sicilian dressing topped with grilled chicken, anchovies and Parmesan cheese.

Seafood Pesto Pizza – Cajun spiced prawns with a pesto base topped with tomatoes, chopped yellow and red capsicum, mozzarella cheese and arugula.

Barbeque Smoked Duck Pizza – Smoked duck breast with a barbeque base topped with peaches, onions, chili flakes, mozzarella cheese and arugula.

Spicy Smoked Duck Pizza with Buffalo Mozzarella – Combination of sliced duck breast, Buffalo mozzarella cheese, fresh red chilies, arugula and Pomodoro sauce. Slightly spicy and find that the sauce is slightly too strong.

When Baby Shrimps Pizza is serve, its like a mini island of shrimps, its pretty generous for them add in along with arugula and lemon wedges. Squeezing the lemon brings up the taste more fragrant.

Roasted Chicken with Hot Sauce Pizza as I find this version pretty unique as its filled with roasted shredded chicken with hot sauce, marinated black bean that is the unique taste that added in with, tomatoes, arugula topped with Buffalo Mozzarella cheese. I quite like this actually.

Roman Vegetarian Pizza – With fresh spinach, tomatoes, Kalamata olives, artichoke heart and fresh garlic topped with mozzarella cheese with an Alfredo base.

As in conjunction with this promo, this limited edition drink Mountain Dew Pitch Black which is in citrus grape flavor, to complement the pizza extravaganza, as its bubbly and refreshing. Best of all, its bottomless with additional RM5++. Throughout the promotion period, Italiannies will also be offering one of the classic Italian desserts, the light and creamy Panna Cotta.

Italiannies @ Sunway Pyramid

Do not know what to eat again at Sunway and got suggested to eat Italiannies so directly agreed to that suggestion as I have not tried that branch before. From what I feel, the interior is better than the one in The Gardens as it is a bit classic compare to Gardens where I think it is a bit modernise.

I was seated directly at the back of the restaurant and found that this wall of pictures is quite interesting.

It was quite a lot of people for weekdays.
So again the usual routine, start off with the ‘Marsala Mushroom Soup’ and the taste I feel that it is better than the 1 in The Gardens Branch. RM 12.90
As usual, to me to test a Italian restaurant I usually would test their ‘Carbonara‘ which I feel the simplest dish and which turn out to be a bit disappointed as it is quite dry, compare to what I always wanted or to be is more white sauce. Not like Char Koey Teow. Part of it I also feel that the Fettucini not cook enough. Well, sadly it cost about RM29.90 which I feel abit pricy.
After that piece of ‘Tiramisu‘ from the Gardens, I never miss to ordered it again in this branch. To my expectation it taste the same which is very satisfying. Creamy, cheezy, enough chocolate powder and soft enough which is just freshly made. ‘Sluurppp‘……RM 16.90 for this.
Overall, it is still so so only and to the final stop of Italiannies I will try out the 1 in One-U which most of my friend claims to be very very nice.
