Siew Kee Pork Noodle at Manjalara Kepong is one of the famous pork noodle in Kepong this neighborhood. After I posted in my stories only got to  know it is a few of my friends regular lunch place. I find that this is not your regular Pork Noodle soup place which is a bit unique. I find its a kind of combination of local x east malaysia like Sabah or Sarawak style.

pork noodle in kl

it is a simple comfort food and the store had been operating for more than 15 years already at the same location.

siew kei noodle house restaurant (3)Here are some of the sparer part for you to chose or you want all in like mine?

what to eat in kepongsiew kei noodle house restaurantFor soup base I find it normal, if you order bee hoon, the taste is covered up. Soup base taste could not taste as prominent as the dry seperate version.famous pork noodle in klSince I observe alot people order the dry noodle, I decided to try one portion for dry and another portion soup base.  Dry pork noodle – Koey Teow Mee with all pig spare part.

Soup base is great as  I tasted there is a hint of “chinese wine” or siew weng chow in the soup base that give its uniqueness. Pork parts are all cook to perfettion, soft part where it is needed. Missing out is pork intestine. then that would be perfect.

pork noodle in kepongKoey teow noodle is different as when it was serve, I believe it is drench with some fresh pork oil as the aroma of it is very prominent and serve with some sweet soy sauce, some other mixture and pork lard. I find this pretty good. Noodle and gravy itself is on the sweet end with pig oil taste quite prominent.pork dry noodlepork noodle manjalara

Overall, I find it not too bad for a comfort food around the area. Do not mind to come back again as I want to try their Yee Mee Next. Is this the best? every one have their own preference taste. I find it quite worth to give it a try as not the usual ordinary style.

this place is one of my friends favourite and was introduce to him that I should try this bouncy handmade noodles at Kepong’s New Ban Lee Restaurant 新万利面食  . . It is a kind that is similar to udon, the strands are thicker with a little more bite and slight chewy.

My friend insisted that we should try only their classic which is the dry noodle soup. Drench with their special dark soy sauce and some special mixture with mince meat.

Sometimes, we are not to sure where to eat and I often go to the few places and friends often ask me, where to eat in Kepong. My only few answer is the usual. Tang Jia Roast is one of my favourite Wan Tan Mee place in Kepong. They used to be at just around the corner before MRT begins construction and they have move to a proper shop since 3 years ago.

where to eat in kepongThis is one of my regular spot on weekend as I often come here for their Char Siew Wan Tan Mee as I find that their portion is quite generous compare to many other places with its price tag. The place is also comfortable as they have its own mini air condition

wan tan mee kepong

This is my usual set as Wan Tan Mee dry comes in springy, top with some pork lard and the sides you can pick what you like. Wan Tan/ Char Siew/ Siew Yuk/ Chicken or all mix also can.
