Usually when I am back Penang, a week before I will bug my friend to bring me nice places to eat or their latest discover, (sounds like I am a foreigner or outstation guest). Restaurant Hock Chuan Heong is one of the place that they usually will pop by for lunch is this traditional Hokkien dishes in Macallum Street here.(I used to stay here for 7 years, didnt know such shop existed.)

Oyster (1)

For those who are not familiar around the area, it would be tricky to locate it as its hidden behind a row of shop house that Pos Office Malaysia would be the landmark.

Oyster (2)

This place its famous for its authentic Hokkien dishes especially on their Oyster series. Its super pack during lunch time and it is advisable to do early lunch.

Oyster (3)

All the dish serve up pretty fast and this is what happen when you have 2 girls very hungry and cant wait for me to complete taking the picture first by snapping some of it first.. 😀

Oyster (4)

One of the dishes that must have is their classic Fried Oyster (Oh chien) . In most of the version that we have is either crispy or starchy and back to traditional its starchy. Fried to aromatic and dipping with their special chili sauce that makes it taste even better.

Oyster (5)

I cannot remember when is the last time I had this dish, that it was too long ago, that it used to be one of my grandma’s favorite dish. Found back the authenticity place for it, Oh Mee (Oyster Noodle) comes with generous ingredients and the gravy is slightly mild and find that noodle is over cook that make it too soft. Overall its not bad that many old people will sure love this taste.

Oyster (6)

This is Tau Kua Suan Na dish is fried and cooked with lots of leeks, added with little 5 spices powder to bring up the taste a little more. Gravy is nice and pour it onto rice, is good~

If you are looking for some authentic food then this is one of the place to hunt for. One of the set back of this location is limitation of Parking and best to park around Post Office area and walk towards behind it, or residential around that area.

Remark: The owner is a quite lansi (arrogant)

Back in college days, there is one little place that we used to hang out when craving for desert, before they move to a proper building which is this Crepe Cottage that located along side in Gurney Drive, well,  the current landmark to look for is this little shop is located next to Coffee Island or Overtime at Gurney Drive.

Crepe (1)

This humble little shop have very limited in place is run by a family and they have been operating for more than 10 years if I am not mistaken. Their shop is very limited in space, therefore always you have to wait as their service is pretty slow. On average for serving is about 20minutes and waiting time can stretch till 1 hour. So if you do not have patient then you can forget about this place.

Crepe (3)

There are quite alot of choices of Crepes to choose from in the menu with front and back . . .

Crepe (4)

Besides that, they do sell fusion food ranging from western, Italian and some locals cuisine.

Crepe (5)

Nutela @ RM 11

Crepe (6)

So we ordered 2 different crepes starting off with this one in wraps style. Wrap with banana slices, top with whipped cream, shower with chocolate rice on top and chocolate syrup and a scoop of Choco ice cream turns out to be the winner compare to another one, as banana is so fresh n soft, love the strong taste of it and pairs very well with nutela chocolate. The wrap is very aromatic and just eat along with full combination is savory.

Crepe (8)

 Sunburst @ RM 10

Is another version of pancake desert is more like so round slice like MacD breakfast pancake but of course its much better than MacD alot of times. This comes with slices of mango, peanut and top with Mango Ice cream. We just love the base of the pancake . Still think Nutella is better.

Well, not many places offer very nice pancake desert and this is certainly one of the places to look for, prices might be a bit expensive as I still think worth spending for once a while .. for their food I have not try before yet. One of the recommended place by me if you are craving for crepes in Penang.

If you do find other better places please do let me know, I love to go find out on it .. 😉

After visit Wong Tai Sin and hurried back to change and meet the rest of the ppl then all of us head to Central, which is the high end shopping area. Filled with all the branded shops.
Taking train from our hotel to Central is not that long. About 15 minutes train ride. One thing I find it quite funny is, they have shoe polish stall as and not only 1 stall..there’s quite a number of it. While I was taking this pic I kena scold by the uncle talking on the hand phone shouting at me..CAnnot take pic..cannot take pic (in Cantonese). I don care la..faster take then cabut!

It was a busy Monday, and every 1 start working already and Central is also known as the main center of working district filled with all those big companies. It was lunch time, and the ppl walking around..is like siau lang..so many ppl on every where of the streets…..

We are heading to a shop which is quite popular in HK which is H&M.

I am a happy shopper came out with whole set of top, t-shirt, vest, and cap. Which I think this brand is nicer than any Top Shop we have in Malaysia. 3 Item cost me around HKD550(RM225) if in Malaysia easily exceed RM300 for the items I bought. The design that they have is even nicer.
This shop has 4 levels, basement is for guys, and for girls, you will go crazee, as the accessories is nice, the girls department lagi nice..which consist of 2 lvls and top lvls is for kids.
Remark: bring more money when you want to shop at this shop.

After shopping, we walked around the district…..

This is what we ended up doing.

Manage to find Bape Store in HK.

Impressive shop design on the interior and exterior. On that season, didnt manage to get any nice t-shirt cuz non I like.

Went to indoor area Landmark as we were quite tired and need to find a place to sit down.

Indoor shops brand.
After the rest went back to Hotel, me, yeong and kenny were very lazy to walk back to change. We already wearing the whole new outfit,so went to find a place to have a coffee.
Ended up in Cafe Landmark. Which is a porch cafe area. The pricing is yeng.
The place is full with the rich ppl crowd. Most of them you can sense like they are just not ordinary ppl which is like owner of a huge corporation and the ladies or the tai tai there also the rich man’s wife or very successful corporate ladies.

Kenny Order the Gelato Chocolate’ charge at HKD 45(if not mistaken). A very normal taste chocolate ice-cream
‘Mint Tea’ ordered by Yeong which cost at HKD 40(if not mistaken)
and mind is ‘Stella Artois HKD 55 if not mistaken.
While we were seating and chatting, then suddenly I saw how come so many ppl taking pictures of a lady walking pass by on the other side. Then I said its a Hong Kong celebrity, we guess it was Cecelia Chung, and I grab my camera and went to that area also.
Then she was at a shop cant remember what name already preventing all customer from going into that shop and was told by the guard its a private shopping and have been book by a person.
I could not follow anymore and pass my camera to Kenny as my friend Jay had reach the cafe.
