Movie Review – CNY Movie – Hotel Deluxe & I Love Hong Kong 2013

Chinese New Year mostly after family reunion there is not much things to do besides hangout out with friends for drink or head to cinema to watch movie and always there are CNY movie to watch as this year there are a few, as I heard local movie is out, left both HOng Kong movie that got good feed back.

Genre: Comedy

Hotel Deluxe is about a 5 star resort being run by a few incompetent staff. As the management knew the problem, they hired a new Hotel Manager to restructure the whole team. As rumous also spread that a mysterious hotel detective will arrive soon to check on the hotel conditions to ensure it match its 5 star rating. Then the new hotel manager got in 2 famous actress to do filming in the hotel to boost up the image of it. Then a good friend of Ronald Cheng came back from travelling and she needs help by getting a fake husband to inherit her father huge assets.

Its a great movie and filled with laughter. If you are really bored and compare to so many Chinese New Year movie, this is the most highly recommended by me to watch first. . .

Genre: Family/ Comedy

A movie about Hong Kong in the 70’s are bustling with opportunities. Running a restaurant with moutain high debt, that wanted to suicide himself till a fairy came down and talk to him. Talking back in those days what happen to the fairy had made him look thru alot of things after that as the fairy show him what would happen to him if he wasnt around. Then he realise that he should cherish all the things he have as he are left with great friends and family.

Another great movie about friendship and family value.

This round both Hong Kong movie are so much better with good story line compare to last year and few years back. Another great movie to watch.

Oktoberfest + 1st Anniversary Soul Out @ Ampang

Time really flies as when I received this invite I was a bit shock that it has already been a year that this outlet had been operating and it felt like I had just came here for their Oktoberfest few months back. Along with this big occasion comes with also Soul Out Ampang 1st Anniversary that this brand main branch is actually located in Hartamas (click here).

The whole place had converted to mini showcase of Masquerade party cross over with Oktoberfest. Something unique in its kind.

Lets welcome Oktoberfest before the months end.

As guest and media were pamper with nice selection of food. Roast Lamb, grill beef . .. .

Little buffet selection that filled with German food, those that not to be miss is German Sausages, potato

On the night itself we were pamper with free flow beer, hard liquor, and wine.

This place not only have outdoor dining, they do have very comfy bar counter too . .

As both combination, happening at the same time, what can you expect. Of course lots of performance. There are some German traditional dance then slow dancing with the tunes of latest hit and as the performer changing their outfit to dance along one of crowds favorite is Oppa Gangnam Style.

Then we have sausage eating competition . . .Something new and filled with laughter . . .

Then we were being introduce to a great local band Mad Sally. We are certainly impress on how good the lead singer voice is. .

Last but not least of course here comes the main moment that cakes being push out and all performer follow by with a huge tower of 1 year old cake being push out.

With another great announcement of about 15 year old brand, they are announcing that, the brand Soul Out is ready to do franchise.

And of course guess what, we manage to celebrate birthday with Sharon . . Happy Belated Birthday Sharon as for now . .:p

All of us had a great time and looking forward for another great event like this.

Greedy Ghost (贪心鬼见鬼) Movie Premier

I have been to a few movie premier but not as official as this. As I was lucky to be invited for a movie premier that host it with cast and director came out for appearance. . As Chines Hungry ghost month is approaching soon as where you can see upcoming release of movies into the cinema will be a few films on ghost movie Greedy Ghost.

One of the latest one that had just open Greedy Ghost, that is, directed by Boris Boo from a story planned by executive producer Mark Lee which is no stranger to us in most if you do watch Singapore movie, along brings together a cast of Taiwan’s Kang Kang , Singapore’s Henry Thia, Malaysia’s Jesseca Liu and Brendan Yuen.

On the premier itself, all the main movie cast appear and they are wonderful, friendly and entertaining, especially Henry Tia or known as ah Hui in most of the movies. As most of him we seen him act in the movie is already funny and you should see him talking to the rest live. Very entertaining person and the rest telling how they felt about the role in the movie.

Didnt know that Jessica Liu is from Malaysia, as she is just stunning and pretty that amaze most of us on that night. She holds a role as Brendan Yuen’s girlfriend and you must see how she got splash with rubbish water in the movie. Yeww!

Signing off on the movie poster and here we go and be prepare to scream with laughter.

Genre: Comedy/ Horror

Lim (Kang Kang) which had been a very unlucky person, that what ever he do always end up bad! As he is having bad times in struggling career and life, while complaining to Fat and Hui on their steamboat dinner below their flat, then suddenly a person jump to his death landed on their eating table. A book fell next to his bag and took it without realising.

After his bath and on his fan to cool it off, when the book start flipping and suddenly he see’s numbers in it. Then voices been calling his name to buy Toto with the number he had seen. He did not believe the numbers and while watching the tv, a programm where most Singaporean will sit front of their tv to see if they hit jackpot. Unbelievable, the number he seen is all correct! AS the night itself he seek on ‘Wordless Script’ to give him numbers again, and the book forewarns Lim that he will have to pay a heavy price, should he wants big winnings. Blind by greet, he obey everything. Many Things happens after that.

Movie Review: John Carter, This Means War & the Devil Inside

Genre: Action/ Adventure/ Fantasy

I would say John Carter is another great fantasy movie, or another movie like Star Wars, that there is this guy that were so good in commanding an army and got devastated when lost wife and daughter in a fire blaze. Then his life direction had change where to hunt for gold mine. Half way thru, he found some what a person like god had a Mendelian that transported him to Mars.

There is where the whole adventure begins, with some creature like talking and some other character. I would say its a good movie and I have seen many good reviews encourage to watch in 3-D as I am considering to watch it in 3-D another round.

Genre: Comedy/ Action/ Romance

If you have a hectic week or stress week, looking forward to cheer you up, I guess this movie This Means War could cheer you up alot. A romance comedy flick that brings you alot of laughter on how 2 guys coincidentally going after a girl without them realizing.

the trick is may the best man win the girls heart.

Genre: Horror/ Thriller

Another movie flick that film using video recorder style. Pretty headache and something similiar like that Paranormal Activity style. AS this movie talk about body being posses.

In the end of the movie every one died. That’s all. Don bother watching and its pretty boring.

For the year 2012, one of the way to kick start or to enjoy great time by starting off with celebration of St.Particks day and the month-long GUINNESS® St Patrick’s celebrations has gone full throttle with parties happening at Jarrod & Rawlins last week. All of us having great time and were treated to a myriad of fun games, exciting entertainment and side splitting comedy that had us laughing in stitches on a few sessions!

after a long week on work, here we are to enjoy the pre celebration and also best of all that one thing we shall not miss is the beer. . .

Fresh Guinness draft that is perfect to start off with. . .

some of us do get personalize mug cuz come in a group and those who pay of course got it, 1 Bucket of Gunnness or 4 pints of Stout will entitle you a personalize mug.

Some of the pretty girls in charge of different sections and these two are in charge of gaming. The trick is the most bottom cup with a big red tap sticker and just stack all the cups from bottom to top within 60 seconds till the red sticker cup appear back and win a prize.

Here are some of the signature dish for St.Patrick, everything is in green as its the official colour. .

I did not know that its chicken breast till one of them told me, as I thought it were capsicum. The chicken breast is juicy and moist suprisingly and perfect to dip along with the green mayo and some chili sauce.

This is how happy every one is when have a pint of Guinness on their hand and cheers to every one~

The event started with a bang with performers coming out cheerfully with music blend into it that make the atmosphere even better.

I just love these few character as they are just so attractive

I just love these 2 character, as they are just so good in doing their act, dancing, robot dancing, laughing and some silly act
