One of the place in Melaka to hunt for food, Jason introduce us this fresh seafood that he constantly visit and now, it is not only famous to local crowds as many Singaporean also drop by this place according to him. The place is about 15 minutes’ drive out from the town area towards very ‘kampung side’ Seri Muara Alai Nasir Ikan Bakar and turn into a small lane with sandy rockies road with paddy field at one side to reach this place. We were advice to start the journey early as it is easily filled up very fast. We reach here at 6pm, so the whole place still pretty empty.

Now I understand why they said the seafood here is very fresh, some of the fisherman come back from the straights of Melacca, which is not too far from here and he get all the first hand fresh seafood first.

In a hot weather like this, it is always best to sit outside for more cool wind.

When we move over to this mini stall to order our food, we were spoil with choices, with so many types of fish and seafood available.

All off us were pretty full from some other food hunt earlier, and make it 2nd last stop before heading back to KL.

Small pack of Nasi Lemak was served which is optional, and decided to give it a try, and it was a let down. The rice was damp, not much fragrant and the sambal look very spicy which is not really.

Fried Squid were really good, fresh squid which is very chewy and the amount of crispiness on the layer of it, just nice and dip it with chili sauce is perfect. We order another round of it.

haji nasir (11)

Spicy Fried Stingray, well prepared with crispy edge on its tail and the meat in the middle is still very soft, and spread with their own homemade sambal on top just right.

Grill Kembung Fish with sambal.

Cannot deny that the price here is cheap as we paid around RM 20 per pax after divided out and all of this are in 2 portion and the seafood is fresh. Taste wise, nothing to shout about, yet if like kampung style dining, this would be a place to go after.

It is quite surprising that my friend told me there is a place that offer good coffee. Then he just said, lets go and try it out. Based on the location given, I find it very weird as it leads me to residential area and no sign of coffee place to be found and asked the guard he told me is correct and I just park my car in the covered area free parking (which is super good). Ristretto

I guess we were too free on Sunday and drove all the way for mini food hunting at Klang, but after been to Klang for a few times but I still find it quite a distance to travel. Nevertheless our first stop in the morning breakfast at Klang was at this little kopitiam Chong Kok Kopitiam located nearby one of a famous street which is around Little India.

Chong Kok

A shop that still look classic from inside out that is easily spotted with many people looking for places.

During when I was a kid, I used to stay at Parkroyal Hotel Chatz Brasserie as my dad loves the concept of it alot but as I grow up, to stay in the hotel seems unlikely in this challenging world, as everything increase in prices but not our salary. It had been since about 10 years ago since I last step my foot onto this hotel but surely this visit did give me a comfort feeling that I just got to know that they had refurbish themself to more elegant business hotel.

Therefore, for this Bulan Puasa let’s feast in style by the lavish spread of traditional dishes featuring ‘gulai kawah’ and a taste of Brazilian roasts and grills by Chatz Brasserie, PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur’s culinary team this Ramadhan season. The highlight this year is the selection of ‘gulai kawah’ – mouth-watering stews cooked in huge cast ‘kawah’ or giant woks. The ‘Gulai Kawah’ station is the star item to look out for – specialties include flavoursome Kambing Gulai Kawah – Spiced Braised Mutton, Kari Udang Galah Bernenas – Fresh Water Prawn and Pineapple Curry, Gulai Lemak Daging Salai Terung Pipit – Braised Smoked Beef with Baby Eggplant in Coconut Milk, Gulai Pisang Muda Bersama Ikan Masin – Braised Young Banana with Salted Fish and Gulai Belitung Bersama Terung Dan Daun Selasih – Braised Local Snail.

To start with, the appetisers station is where you will find evergreen starters such as Pasembor Berlauk,Kerabu Ayam Daun Kesom, Ulam-ulam Mentah dan Rebus, and icy-cold Fresh Oyster, Poached Mussel, Clam and Prawn, made zesty with lemon and lime wedges and cocktail sauce.

It has been quite a while since I last went to snorkelling and this is the famous Marine Park nearby Redang Island whereby the most satisfying so far.

The amount of fishes they have there at least it looks like a ocean and something to look for. FISHES~

To get a pack of the bread to feed the fish cost RM1 only to lure the fish to take pic with you.
If I am not mistaken I still think that the coral at Pulau Payar is much nicer than this 1.
Not many types of fish you can see in here just a few types but in large quantity.
Nearby the rock there is 1 quite giant fish floating in there. Was told that quite tua pui and heavy. Most of the ppl swim to this area trying to see this fish and the eel about 3-4 meter long. Could not spot it. Some where in the ocean I guess.
Ahhhhh….this is the type of fish whereby you can see every day, when you eat Nasi Lemak.
Trying to take as many pic as we can.
This pic was taken on another island during afternoon snorkelling session, one of the guy dive into the bottom of the sea to bring us this. If did not handle with care, your hand will be cut easily as the shell is quite sharp and inside it lots of small thorns.
In this island there is not much thing to see as lots of dead corals. So ask the helper to take some pic for us and he was like…aiyaaaaa you guys again ah! come la.. I help you take~
Greetings from earth, we come to the sea in peace!
On the way back, friendly and funny guys~
