Cuz they start operating after 2pm. Go too early also don have.

As I tried 2 attempt previously as once they were closed, 2nd time I was too early thought of trying my luck as I was there in that area early, mana tau..don have..

Dining in here can be very hot and if you do not mind for a good plate of nasi lemak with some sweat then do drop by.

nasi lemak (9)

This is what I usually order back in those days, their signature fried chicken wit white cabbage & mutton (curry banjir)and of course……….

nasi lemak (10)

The fried chicken that must not miss. I waited 15 minutes for the chicken and yet they still taste the same as last time.
I highly recommended this place to eat if you stand a chance to go nearby that area.

In Melaka, there are not many area to hunt for food during at night, as the town rest early . . Luckily our friend which is from Melaka, Jasonmumbles brings us to one of his favourite place to dine, at Restaurant Dung Fung, during night time, is famous for this ONLY stall that sells Wan Tan Mee only at Melaka.

Dung Fung (1)

Dung Fung (3)

It is quite full house and the stall is operate by elderly husband and wife and helped by their son. Their business is very good and if do plan to come here, do have the patient to wait as you will be expecting a wait of around 15-20 minutes and Jason also mention if it falls on weekend or public holiday the business is crazy as at times can wait till more than 30 minutes.

Dung Fung (4)

A simple bowl of Wan Tan Mee filled with generous amount of meaty Char Siew which I prefer mind to have a bit of fats. The noodle is quite springy and the most unique is that the wan tan mee here do add their own style of chili sauce. My first time having this kind of wan tan mee, a bit sourish and salty turns out to be not bad.

Dung Fung (5)

Well, we finish in 4 bites. . . 😀

Dung Fung (6)

Then I see so many people order their Curry Mee, turns out to be not our style, its a bit weird in taste, not really spicy and a bit sourish or I would just say, just not my type.

Just go for the traditional wan tan mee, wont go wrong. *Non-Halal

Last week, my colleague introduces me to this place where they often have their lunch around this area. They visited this place Yang Kee Beef Noodle quite often and the price charge is quite reasonable. One of their famous signature dish is the Beef Noodle and upon that, what I read from a few bloggers that, ‘Yong Tau Fu’ is also one of their specialties that sell very fast.

I was there during lunch time and expected to wait a while as the crowd starts to pour in, then when comes to ordering, I would always prefer beef noodle in soup version as that’s the best way to test on it with strong sweet aromatic soup base is the best, then my colleague help me to order and recommended to go for their egg noodle as its freshly made.

yang kee (2)

‘Mixed Soup Beef Noodle’ @ RM4.30 for small and RM4.80 for large

My bowl of mixed soup beef egg noodle, that tastes quite different from Penang’s taste, as the egg noodle is definitely a great recommendation, that it is fine and quite springy while eating it, soup base is a bit thick that serve along with beef ball, beef slices and some of other beef spare parts. Its not bad, but I still prefer Penang’s version.

yang kee (3)

‘Stewed Beef Brisket with Radish’ had been stewed for quite some time, but I prefer the meat to be softer a bit as if when add into mouth will melt into slices. RM 4.50

yang kee (4)

‘Dry Beef Noodle’ @ RM 4.50

yang kee

One that catches my attention is that, this is the first time I come across that beef noodle in dry version with minced meat add on. The gravy that added on is a bit spicy, salty but when mixed with it, the taste is quite alright.

yang kee (5)

According to my friend, they said the beef ball here is hand beaten by the chef that is why the beef ball is so springy like what we always see in TVD drama series or in TV.

Overall, three of us did have a nice lunch while chatting all the way. Worth a try if you are around the area, around the area there are not much parking space and just wish for your luck on that day.

F & B in Kota Damansara is mushrooming very fast and, we get a chance to taste one of the new shop open in the area Restaurant Village Fish Head Noodle. They have ample of parking space available around the shop, but if you mean during lunch time, this area would be pack.

From a traditional taste of fish head noodle which is clear in colour that used to eat in Penang but since after came down to KL I enjoy eating the KL version with added milk, salted veggie and rice wine.

The shop that just open not long already enjoying regular customer as what we have been told by the owner.

village fish head (3)

village fish head (4)

Food that available in the menu, is quite reasonable that you can get a meal for 2 person around RM25 including drinks.

I just go through a few blogs to find the address for this and didn’t know that this shop is actually a hit in the town with the taste and especially the chili flakes. This place was introduce by my friends when we were hunting for our company dinner dress.

Kin Kin

Kin Kin (2)

Their signature which is, this very chili flakes that a lot of people just add on many table spoonful of it onto their bowl but I felt that there is nothing fancy on this flakes or I would say there are actually a few shops are better than this.

Kin Kin (3)

‘Mix of Pork and Fish Ball’, loves the springy feel of both flavor as what I preferred. Pork ball is abit solid yet gives me the compact bite of it and not a big fan of fish balls yet it does gives the soft springy feel.

Kin Kin (4)

‘Soup Pan Mee’ taste not bad with the taste of anchovies that gives a bit of salty inside the clear soup yet flour taste comes from pan mee, added on with mince meat added on the flavor.

Kin Kin (5)

If you do not like soup base then you should try their ‘Dry Pan Mee’ which I prefer more than the soup base. I have mine added on with the semi boil egg.

Kin Kin (6)

I did like what other people did just by adding on the chili flakes, its just not bad after all to make the taste slightly better.

With the price tag around RM5-RM8 I would say its not a expensive place to eat in with their prompt service there is actually nothing to complain about.
