I have always been a fan of Vietnamese food, as I had alot nice one when I was at oversea. Well, still nothing to be compared. When this shop open few years back, I have heard much good feedback from my ex colleague when they went to dine there with clients. One of the set back was, its a bit pricey to dine there then timing was right a while ago as they were doing promo and decided to stop by with a group of friends.

For a Vietnamese Food, they really offer quite a unique range of food compare to any other restaurant that I have been too.

Of course when you are in this shop, Prawn Spring Roll (6pcs) @ RM 18 its pretty classic item to order or one of the dish that represent Vietnamese food. Roll up pretty well with the sauce to dip along and prawn is fresh~

I am not sure I put this name on the correct picture or not as Banana Flower & Chicken @ RM 20 its one of a good appetizer to start off with. It was gone within seconds as it has a bit of sourish, and sweet end. Just perfect.

I read many review, this is one of a dish that highly recommended by many people and same goes to me. Mangosteen & Prawn Salad @ RM 32 is a very unique salad that I have come across, they used Mangosteen to pair it as we thought it was weird at first then, the flavour is sour with their special sauce make it very good to go along with the prawn.

Vietnamese Pancake @ RM 26

When this is serve, it looks and smells good but taste differently. Part of it is with the dressing that they have in there. I do not really like it but some of my friends love it.

If you are having rice and Lamb Curry @ Rm 34 is a must order. Thick in curry gravy with lamb cubes are cook till soft. A bit sweet and spicy and those of you do not like the taste of lamb do not order this. Its quite strong even you can smell it, according to my friend.

sao nam (17)

Chicken Lemongrass @ RM 20 is another dish that you can consider even ordering. The soup that cook along is fragrant with mild lemongrass taste that I would rate it like Steam Chinese Wine chicken but this is Vietnamese version.

Imperial Lotus Leaf Rice @ RM 18

Sweet Potato Leaves @ RM 12

Friend Tofu @ RM 22

In Vietnamaese Food, of course we must try out their Hue Beef Noodle Soup @ RM 18, soup is sweet with thin noodle and few beef slices to go along. Pretty good though.

No doubht that this place do provide nice Vietnamese Food, and if you are willing to pay a bit more, you can even consider this place for dining.

On one side I am proud of being a Malaysian which is, Malaysia have a lot of local talents. In cooking shows or local famous celebrity chef Chef Wan is definitely a no stranger to all of us but one of the local chef that had makes it mark at the shores away from Malaysia by promoting hard on our local cuisine and culture at the European countries. Chef Norman Musa, A kampong boy from upbringing, that born from Butterworth, Penang had step its foot to UK on the year 1994 as Quantity Surveyor and since then by hosting alot of friends from Malaysia he had made himself a self thought cook, till date his restaurant was nominated Restaurant of the Year award in 2009, nominated for Manchester’s Chef of the Year Award and a Chef to the Lotus Racing Formula One Team.

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Every Chinese is busy replanish stock for other family members and friends to visit them. Traffic and parking is a pain in the ass but another thing that draws alot of people to the mall is to take picture of the deco. The deco in most of the malls now are really putting alot of efford and investment in it. Its very impressive as part of the crowd drawing. Did not went to alot of malls but just went to the very main few ones.

The decoration of 1-Utama is the ‘Fatt Choy Mau’ Prosperity Cat.. When it was setting up, I always keep wonder will the hand move like what most restaurant display.
