Western Cuisine @ Pavilion Food Republic

Do not know what to eat most of the time as I can say like I am at Pavilion most of the time. So only stalls that I have not tried in the food court, so try this western cuisine for today.

I ordered ‘Black Pepper Chicken’ served with half chicken. It is not bad, would not rate this as bad, the chicken meat is soft and juicy with the gravy of black paper sauce they pour over it. The mash potato is nice with the gravy, if without taste bad. The price for this lovely dish is at RM13.90nett.

Italiannies @ The Gardens

It was my Burffday around the corner and my friends decided to treat me makan. So have read a few review of Itaniannes before gotten here and my friend they pick this restaurant. First time at this restaurant, the feeling it gives is quite a nice Italian restaurant.

With its nice interior and open concept of Pizza kitchen looks good.

The menu is just like is. Good food which is so much and needed to be shared with every one. LOL~ which is pretty true.

With the promotion by some of the bloggers, so we decided to go for this 4 types of spaghetti
Order the drink as in the menu the picture taken in there looks good. As it is ‘Grape Shake’. Then to my suprise, it really taste good. High recommended on this drink. It is very refreshing and feels like pure grape blended and is price at RM8.50 which I think is resonable.

When you were seated down, you will be given this plate of thing which is Vinegar mix with Olive Herb Oil. The reason given to you is to eat with this.

Bread… For me I just spread the butter on the bread and dip it on the olive oil. Taste good but my friend they do not like it.

Start off our meal with ‘Marsala Soup’ which is a few types of mushroom blended together. The soup is quite thick, with milk taste and you can even bite some of the mushroom pieces. Quite a good opening. RM 12.90 for this.
Followed by this ‘Lamb Shank’. It looks good on the display, but honestly it was quite a disappointed dish. It is do not taste good or near tasteless. A lil damm bit of the herb taste, the mash potato taste weird and the lamb meat is medium done which is acceptable, while eating we were complaining and compare to what I had at Alexis is such a huge difference and it cost RM 39.90.
Followed by this ‘Bowls of Pasta’ . RM29.90
Starting off from left 1. ‘Carbonara‘ the most simple of all food, which I do cant really feel the taste of the creamy sauce on it. Although the sauce is thick but a bit too salty and milky taste.
2. ‘Chicken Mushroom’ which is a lil bit spicy compare to the rest and with the first bite in it, it taste nite and as the more you it, it do not taste as delicious as the first bite.
3. ‘Chicken Lasagna’. It is the best compare to those 3 dish, the skin in the lasagna was just nice, not too thick and cheezy taste is there. The mince chicken meet is nicely cook and bake along with it. The aroma of the taste is perfectly match with it.

4. ‘Ciam Bacan Fettucini‘ tasteless in the taste as I believe they use olive oil to cooked it and we have to add a bit salt ourself to make it a lil edible. Compare to the other 3, it was the worst.

As closing meal of the day, end with a lovely ‘Tiramisu‘ which must not miss in an Italian restaurant. When they serve it out, I told my friends that this must be the best dish for the night. It was freshly made, as I can still see the shining of the cream and about to melt. The first bite of the tiramisu is just makes my closing of the meal the most perfect. Nice fresh cream they are using, and the coffee taste of the bread and the cocoa powder makes it blend in your mouth well. I must say that, to get a nice Tiramisu, this 1 definitely in my A list. Highly recommended. It is only RM16.90 quite cheap for such a big piece.

In a nice restaurant and during weekdays, the service is sure first class. Like a wait or waitress standby, just by you looking at them, they are ready to serve you. Your meal bout to finish, they are about to help you change the plates. Only one thing is very annoying whereby 9.30pm, we did not ask for bills and they just ask us to pay directly without asking first. Total bill comes to RM118.90 which is a bit pricy for the quality of the main course that they are serving. It is like, ‘Please pay and bye bye, I want to go back soon’ Ish…really hate that. At least notify. For me, I totally BANNED this restaurant for the time being of the food quality. Maybe will try again some where in the future.

Station 1 Cafe @ Jaya One

Do not know what to eat then just chin chai stop by at Jaya One to have dinner. Having troubles in choosing the restaurant also, so ended up went to Station 1 Cafe. If I am not mistaken, it is a newly open cafe as there are alot of flowers given to the shop and displaying all outside of it. This place is nicely renovation, very comfortable for a drink and yum cha, you can get beers by watching football and listening to people singing.

In the menu, what caught my attention was the promotion of the ‘Chicken Chop’ covers the whole page. Thought it would be nice so give it a try. The chicken is nicely grilled, some of the parts are a bit crispy, the sweet corn is the nicest of all as it uses steam, the mash potato tasted weird as it taste like the water paip taste. The coleslaw is missing some salt. The gravy totally not nice. If they improve their gravy, I would high recommend this dish.It cost RM13.90

This is the ‘Fish Ball Beehoon Soup’. Not a big bowl but certainly good for girls on diet. When it was serve, what shock me was the colour of the soup. Looks a bit like serve from longkang but then when you taste it, it is very tasty. The fish ball is very soft and have mince meet in it. The look like fish slice(never like it) but this definitely taste nice and soft. This is better than my chicken chop.

Lunch at Bavarian Bierhous @ Wisma UOA

This post was suppose to be up last year mid December, was not free to blog it delay till now. That time decided to go lunch at this Bavarian Beirhous a German food restaurant. The place looks nice and with the set lunch promotion was told by my friend is RM20 set. So we just went ahead.

The set lunch is RM 20 include this soup, drinks and a main course.

This is the ‘Pork Steak’. Looks pretty ordinary and INDEED it is ORDINARY. Noting so special about this dish as with the set lunch price totally do not worth what they serve. The pork with BBQ and some plum sauce gravy on top and mash potato at the bottom,’ JUST LIKE THAT’. So plain.
The taste of the pork they over cooked it, therefore it is like very chewylicous and hard. The sauce is like BBQ and plum tasted weird. With the quality like that, I would say that most of the people can also just grilled it out. The mash potato is soft and riches with milk and some cheezy taste.

This is what they called ‘Thueringer Sausage’. Simple and nice for the set of decoration. The 2 sausage is so small if I were to order it, I just would not know how can it fill in my stomach. Just by measuring it around my stomach, I think it just fill like 1/4 of my capacity.

The taste of the sausage is just ………….. no comment.

Well, I would say that their set lunch I would not recommend on it, but the choices are there, From Monday to Friday, every day their menu is different from a 3 choices to choose.
German food is usually famous for their pork, guess that I will be going back again to try on their signature dish. No More Set Lunch.

Christmas Dinner, Bubba Gump @ The Curve

Nothing much to do on Chirstmas day, and hungry as well during dinner, so called up my buddies for dinner. Decided to go to The Curve to hunt for food. After every one do not know what to eat, the restaurant I choose got banned from them and we ended up here. Bubba Gump. All of us have not tried before. So AGREED by every one.


The interior is quite classic. Did tried to take a few pictures and the girl on the first table keep staring at my camera direction. Lol..Gotya..on Candid..!!! lol..

This is our table, which I find it very unique. Every table have different design. Definitely nice for photo.

We started off with a starter, Onion Rings, whereby I see alot of people ordering this. Definitely it is much nicer compare to A & W. It does not goes well with BBQ sauce but Goes very well with the other sauce(don know what sauce is that). We ended up get 2 more extra for that sauce. It cost RM14.90

Here we are, with our onion rings style. From head to body.

After left 2 of the rings, I decided to ask Jason to tried to mix it with cabbage and 2 of the sauce. RESULT: “It taste horrible”, that is what he said.

This is the first main dish which is Salmon & Vegie Skillet. Honestly, this food looks nice, the taste is not really good. 1st, the salmon overcook makes the whole fish abit solid. 2nd, the whole thing is salty, we think that the chef might had accidentally put alot. Thought of sugar but it is salt. The vegie is also over cooked. So the whole dish, we did not finish it. Left half. Price for this RM35.90. With the quality like dat, not worth it.
This is Bourbon Street Baramundi. The best among all those. Definitely highly recommended for those who loves fish or go to this restaurant. The fish is just so soft, feels like when you have a bite in your mouth, it is soft and smooth with the perfect sauce they mix with it. Just perfect. The mash potato is very nice. Milky and buttery taste. The fried pieces of potato mini strips, goes well along with the mash potato or just eat it like dat, its crunchy and a bit salty, but nice. It is price at RM29.90.
This dish is called Shrimper’s Heaven. I think they can rename it to Shrimper’s Hell because the shrimps that they serve in this basket is totally not fresh expect only one(6 o’clock shrimp). The rest all hopeless. When you bite in your mouth, it is not hard on the shrimps, it feels like ashes. GELI. Hate to eat shrimps with that kind of feeling. This dish is Totally BANNED and the most expensive of all RM44.90. (WTF) with this kind of little serving and quality. Totally disappointed.
Only 1 more left for this food comment. The chips are nice. Taste better than the shrimps.
The desert is called Mama’s Strawberry Shortcake. What we wanted to order all already finish which is their signature desert. Which in the menu, the order will be the 1st(chocolate in glass) and the last(Cinnamon thingy). Ended up we have to force ourself to order this.
Well well, to much our complain during the meal, as closing for the whole dinner, add on another disappointment. The shortcake taste more like pancakes. The cake is warm, not so hard, salty mix with sweet strawberry sauce and with ice-cream. The whole thing does not goes well. The other cream thing also taste weird. Disappointed desert. Cost us RM16.90. Rather have another Onion Rings.
Total bill is RM 180. Which I find it kinda expensive for the food quality including 5% gov and 10% service charge.
Will try again some where in the future. Hopefully wont let us down again.
