Delifrance (9)

In their new menu also introduce some main course for people to dine in now.

Delifrance (10)

One that really caught our attention is their fresh Mushroom Soup serve with one slice of fresh garlic toast. Rather impressive with the quality of mushroom soup that is blended with a few types of mushroom, aromatic and slightly thick to my likings. NOt to be miss if you are in here.

Delifrance (11)

Love the fragrance of Duck Confit and if I have a piece of fresh toast bread to input along would be a perfect combo for me. Always can side order to pair along. Sauce is light and mash potato is just nice.

Delifrance (12)

Lobster Bisque @ RM 11.90. Taste is pretty salty to my liking.

Delifrance (13)

 Aglio Alio @ Rm 14.90

Delifrance (15)

Another Item that I find it pretty good is their Lasagna @ RM 13.90, cheeze been bake till its slightly hard on the top yet when you scoop it will have the cheezy pulling effect. Tomato base is slightly sour that pairs well with the mince meat and I guess its another item that worth for you to try.

Delifrance (16)

Braised Lamb Shank is not bad as the meat is soft and gravy is just mild for me. @ RM 34.90

Delifrance (17)

If you are looking for a quick meal, here is not a bad option with Mushroom soup and bread . . .

In Changkat Bukit Bintang surely is a well known street to many of you. Street party, Bar HOpping & good food is where all those headline would fall into this one street. By strolling up and down this street you will find yourself being harrest by all these aggressive bar people to get you into their outlet. Of course there are some other outlets that approach you in a more friendly polite manner. IT really depends.

The Steakhouse (1)

One of the most recent visit is The Steakhouse by Werner Kuhn’s establishment and I am sure many of you have heard this well known pork place in the area – El Cerdo. Its the same owner as you just need to walk across the street. This place would be my second visit and make no surprise to me that on weekdays the restaurant is on 80% capacity also known as one of the best place to hunt for steak in Changkat Bukit Bintang.

The Steakhouse (2)

The Steakhouse (3)

If you are looking for a place with 1 stone kill 2 bird then The Steakhouse is one of the restaurant to consider as it is also part of The Whiskey Bar that seriously offer lots of whiskey that my jaw would drop off. If you look/ read thru their list you will be amazed on what kind range they are providing.

The Steakhouse (4)

Its a connected place whereby one outlet offer classy bar seating area and next door is more for dining.

The Steakhouse (5)

This is what I mean that they have a few cabinate that display most of their available Whisky and they have a lot of classic and 25 years old or even more than that available in here.

The Steakhouse (6)

AT their bar counter, there are mountains of opened whisky that you can order by shots.

The Steakhouse (7)

Not only that, if you love cigars then they do have it here and you will enjoy it by sipping on your whisky.

The Steakhouse (8)

a

The Steakhouse (9)

Heading back to The Steakhouse as the menu is pretty straight forward. As what You see now is the only menu that they are offering. 3 pages as the last page is desserts.

The Steakhouse (10)

Being at such a bar before heading to Whisky, I started off with Cocktail ..

1) Margarita @ RM28 pretty decent as I find that the alcohol is very much strong and hint of lime is slightly visible.

2) Whisky Sour is one of my favorite drink. Easy to drink and lemon skin slices being added in to enhance on the taste. It pairs well with most of my starters. I had 3 glass. 😀 @ RM28

3) Classic Mojito @ RM28 is a well balance alcohol with mint leaves is sufficient enough to pull up the taste of it. .

The Steakhouse (11)

Next I ask the floor manager what is good to have next then he introduce drinks from Spain.

1) Rose Raspberry Sangria @ RM28

2) White Wine Pear Sangria @ RM28

Both are equally good and consider one of the best I have tried so far or maybe it suits my taste bud. A well balance of alcohol with fruits and among that 2 I prefer the White wine Pear Sangria more as its a bit alcoholic yet I can still taste the sweetness of the fruits being added in. Not only that, its chill enough and pretty refreshing. It goes well with my salad, Oyster and very very well with my escargot.

The Steakhouse (12)

Upon ordering our starters, we do not know what to get and the manager highly recommend us to get their Oyster as its fresh and flown in a day ago. We order without any hesitation and no regret after all. I am not a big fan of oyster but I ended up having 5 pieces myself. ITs so sweet and tasty just with squeezing a bit of lemon and 2 drops of tosbasco.  1 Fresh Live Oyster on ice with Shallot-Wine Vinaigrette RM9/piece. If you pair this with the right choice of white wine, it will be a bomb!

The Steakhouse (13)

Came next is Portobello mushroom with spinach & seafood @ RM26 per piece which I find it reasonable as coated with aromatic baked cheese serve along with big size mushroom and prawns.

The Steakhouse (14)

Something tone down abit your taste bud would be Caesar salad as they served their version here slightly different. Instead of using bacon, they are using smoked duck to enhance the taste of it also its slight chewy. One of the reason they using this also wanted to hold onto their Pork FREE status.. RM26

The Steakhouse (15)

Wow wow.. Looking at this picture makes me droll again as this is one of the places that serve really good escargots. It was baked perfectly with garlic herb butter and cheese. It was so aromatic upon it was serve and its perfect in taste as it smells that the snail is a bit chewy and did not over cook it and we drink the whole thing especially on the garlic herbs sauce that left behind. A MUST ORDER! RM 12 per peice

The Steakhouse (16)

Before we head into our red med, Duck Foie Gras is the last to serve. Nicely done = and the foie gras are still moist paired in chef’s special sauce. RM42

The Steakhouse (17)

The soup are prepared ahead and then baked in oven with melted cheese on top of the croutons.  RM22

The Steakhouse (18)

Mushroom soup with olive oil @ RM 20

The Steakhouse (21)

Beef Stroganoff @ RM48

This is one of the dish would falls into my very highly RECOMMENDED dish. I love this dish as I have tried a very good one over sea and locally its still hard for me to find one and I must say, finally I have found something that I like. YOu must not miss this dish when you are here as the potato rosti being pan fried till crips on both side and soft in the inside also as the side serve with beef stripes are tender and. Mushroom sauce taste pretty good too.

The Steakhouse (19)

BBQ Short Ribs @ RM78

The Steakhouse (20)

On my last visit, I did order this and this round order this again as I find it very good. Season well, then went into grill till the outer layer end up with grill mark yet inside is cook just nice. The meat is so soft that just by using fork, it easily tear off.

a

The Steakhouse (22)

Grilled Black Cod Fish @ RM58

Thick black cod fish fillet served with parsley, potato, mushroom and creamy wasabi pesto sauce

The Steakhouse (23)

First read to appear is Charcoal Grilled Australian Grain Fed Beef Medallion @ RM88

A medallion shaped cut beef and then charcoal grilled then place on hot plates upon serving to the customer

The Steakhouse (24)

Black Angus Tenderloin @ RM98

The Steakhouse (25)

Cook to the condition as I like medium rare and the steak is still juicy with the mark left behind too as the hot plate is still grilling on the beef while you are eating. Juicy and tender.

The Steakhouse (26)

I am very full till now then flipping thru what whisky set I should try, Full Japanese series or full 18 years old series. Ended up trying both.

The Steakhouse (34)

Serving the whisky takes a bit long as you all might know that its just pouring on a shot or 2. Well, one of the reason as they have this very unique kinetic mechine help to shape ice, just by putting a square cube of blog ice in the middle then let the top cover do its magic.

The Steakhouse (36)

Tadaa… after about 3 minutes it had been shape up like that to be added into the glass and serve with the set.

The Steakhouse (27)

Japanese Tasting Set which consist 4 different years whiskey on your tasting tray. Each were explained on its characteristic and tasting method. Please do not spoil this great whisky with coke as many of you do. ITs either on neat or mix with water. On this tasting series is the Japanese Suntory distillery’s famous Yamazaki, Hibiki and Hakushu ranging from 12 to 22 years. In here still Yamazaki is the winner for me.

The Steakhouse (29)

Next tray is Perfect 18 means 5 taster of 18 years old whisky from 5 different whisky disstealeries

The Steakhouse (32)

The Steakhouse (37)

Last but not least, when you are full till like a fat pig could not walk, who say you cant eat anymore! There is always room for dessert no matter how your full condition is. Love the Mango taste and the original is not bad too.

The Steakhouse (38)

Tiramisu @ RM22.50

The Steakhouse (39)

Baked Cheese Cake is pretty decent as its soft that can still taste on the cheese not too thick either. @ RM22.50

The Steakhouse (40)

Looking at their own dessert signature series, Andreas Special on the left come with difference ice cream! It come with white chocolate ice cream, milky chocolate mousse, chocolate crumble, banana in passion fruit and pear in red wine. If you are slightly adventurous and would want a slightly well balance taste then don miss this. AS Andres special (left) have a quite well balance taste with sour, sweet, and slightly bitter end then you must hunt this down!

The Steakhouse (41)

Werner and Andreas Special @  RM22.50 each

As the dining came to an end I discover that their most expensive beef is not the best I have had and I find that The Steakhouse have its advantage as the one slightly cheaper taste better for me. Moist, juicy and just right! Since everything is juicy, our receipt also very juicy.

How many of you actually know that there is a dining place up in the rooftop of Lot10? I been to a club there Rootz, that on my first time there, I am actually pretty impress with their rooftop that have nice green lawn. Not only they have a club there, only realize next to it is actually a nice restaurant – Teeq Brasserie.

teeq (1)

TEEQ derives its name from the woody textures and earthy tones that make up this chic brasserie, while pristinely manicured lawn serves as an outflow for outdoor parties outside the brasserie.

teeq (2)

teeq (3)

A dramatic landscape of cascading ferns and flora serve as a backdrop against the skies of Kuala Lumpur, while pristinely manicured lawn serves as an outflow for outdoor parties right outside the brasserie.

teeq (5)

teeq (6)

Its a huge see thru kitchen with see thru panel that bottles of Moet are place along.

teeq (7)

we start off our meal with their garden salad section that you pay once and you can take as much salad per bowl. They have pretty nice selection. . .

teeq (8)

teeq (9)

teeq (10)

Salad section table per bowl RM9.90

teeq (11)

Cappucinos (Mushroom Soup) @  RM15 that serve in a coffee mug, serve along in foaming texture and I down it at one shot. Taste is a bit cream and foamy serve along with mushroom chunks.

teeq (12)

Highland Greens is a classic Caesar with croutons, beef bacon, grated Parmesan Cheese, cherry tomatoes and Caesar Dressing. @ RM12 –

teeq (13)

Next is Sea Water Prawn that had been well deep fried with gold brown crust and prawns are very fresh. Best of all is the cucumber mint yogurt sauce is a perfect combination for the prawns, taste a bit minty and mayo is just nice.  RM18

teeq (14)

Teeq’s BBQ Ali Burger @ RM25 – Homemade Char-Grilled Beef Patty with Melted Cheese, Tomato and Fried Egg. This is one of a recommended dish that after we tried the first one, we ordered again for 2 more portion. Beef patty is juicy, that the salad top along to make it moist with melted cheese top with sunny side up.

teeq (15)

Usually I am not a big fan of Salmon Trout @ RM40 – Pan fried salmon with leek potato puree and stir fry zucchini. I have to make an exception this time as salmon was grill to perfection that its not overcook, meat is just right to my preference, what make it better  is hand grounded black pepper do spice up the flavor of the dish.

teeq (16)

On first sight, I thought it was lasagna as it is serve along with melted cheeze only when poking deeper into it, it is  Dream of Maryland @ RM28 – Teeq’s style Roast Chicken Maryland with beef bacon, mozzarella cheese, heavy load of mash  potatoes and market vegetables. Those who love chicken, this is definitely one of the option.

teeq (17)

When comes to pasta, cream sauce is always my preference as Con fungi @ RM28, forest mushroom being cook along with fettuccine cook to al dante. I was pretty full at that time and I kept eating as this is hard to resist.

teeq (18)

Short Ribs with a simple poke by using fork, the meat actually easily fell off from the bone, truely Fire Roasted Bone that you will not left any meat on the bone. Meat is moist enough dress along with their special BBQ sauce is a perfect combination. @ RM50

teeq (19)

When comes to desert, we aim for their signature and the name itself already won our heart, Snicker Bar. Girls would love this alot, as its pretty rich in chocolate and creamy peanut , yet not too sweet and to have a whole slice like that is just perfect to end this wonderful meal. @ RM12

teeq (20)

Molten Chocolate Cake @ RM15

By dinning here for the first, time it really do suprise us with what this restaurant have to offer that is hidden up in the roof top. I guess I am like any other ordinary customer that once saw the ambiance of this restaurant it would be pretty expensive yet after look thru their menu and price, it is very reasonable or below from our expectation in pricing.

Definitely this is another great place to gather for friends and family. Recommended~

We surely do enjoy our food and drinks that night, of course comes with great friends along. . 🙂

How  many of you will turn down a review or when a friend ask you to eat vegetarian or organic food? For me, I its a new discovery, cuz often on the month of Nine Emperor festival its very hard for me to locate nice organic or vegetarian place in KL as not as widely celebrated compare to Penang whereby alot of vegetarian stalls are set up every where. Chef Lim Organic Kitchen.

[Update Jan 2014: close Down]

Organic (1)

Nevertheless, I had the opportunity to visit Chef Lim Organic Kicthen, and how to turn down? I am a food lover in many ways as I always enjoy my meal and learn to eat and dine accordingly. As fore say by many people, organic and vegetarian food will head towards very mild or near tasteless food as one of the reason its healthy food. Never meant to be alot of taste, eat light and simple.

Organic (2)

Chef Llim Organic Kitchen open its door to public since last year September 2011 at The Scots Garden, Old Klang Road and it had starting to gain popularity among organic lover and slowly public are accepting the taste of it after learning the way to eat it and the benefits of eating healthy.

Organic (3)

A place that well lit up with some English interior to be spill upon.

Organic (4)

Organic (5)

Organic (6)

Many people have the perception that organic food would be expensive including myself too. When I see the price of the menu and what is being offered I find it very reasonable.

Organic (7)

Organic (8)

One of the reason that Chef Lim Organic Kitchen gaining its popularity among many vegetarian and monks are the fundamentals, freshness and healthiness are assured, long serving PURE vegetarian food where no egg and “five pungent spices” eg: garlic, onion, chives, spring onion and leek is used in food preparing.

Organic (9)

Fruit Tea (Large) @ RM17.90 with a few types of fresh fruit being cut and blend then serve warm is something new to me. As mention by the chef is good for digestion and alot of customer prefer it hot. They do serve cold too . . Love the taste of it~

Organic (10)

Brown rice @ RM2.00 per bowl  that I often take during my meals on vegetarian. Surely it taste very bland and not aromatic as those white rice often eat at home.

Organic (11)

Cukawamee @ RM6.90, one of the reason its green colour that many people ask and thought its colouring but its not. Its the effect of  being soaked in sugar syrup and the duration makes it green.

Organic (12)

Golden Beancurd – Large @ RM18.90 – beancurd that mixed with pumpkin, and ridge gourd

Organic (13)

something unique in the soup that add on some extra flavour is this dish . .Coconut Tomyam @ RM17.90

Organic (14)

Herbal Mushroom Soup – Large @ RM18.90

Organic (15)

One of my favourite is this Basil Leaf Mushroom – Large @ RM18.90 that had been stir fried till the flavours blend in pretty well . .

Organic (16)

Another of my favorited is Kapitan Fish – Small @ RM14.90 that is well cook with the gravy is just perfect, not too spicy yet hint of sour at the end of the taste, clever to use eggplant, ladies finger and some other vegetable to make this curry mixture out.

Organic (17)

Yam Basket @ RM18.90

Organic (18)

Lo Han Chai @ Large @ RM19.90

Organic (19)

Kam Heong Mushroom – Large @ RM18.90 as mushroom had been carefully slices and deep fried first then follow by pan friend with kam heong till all the aroma blend well. Some of you might not like the taste yet the crispiness is there.

Organic (20)

Very seldom you will see organic food preparing Italian food because of the ingredient involve yet this caught us by surprise that their Classic Cabonara @ RM14.90 turns out to be good too, with a bit milky creamy texture, spaghetti is springy.

Organic (21)

This would be one of my highly recommended dish for organic or vegetarian as Fruit Pizza @ RM19.90 being baked to perfection with its slight thin crust of every bite with crips, dressing on top just match the taste of the fruits being finely cut and added on. One of their top seller.

Organic (22)

Hawaiian Pizza @ RM21.90 topped with capsicum, tomato and pineapple.

One of the reason their pizza turns out to be top seller as the cheeze being carefulyl source and imported from Australia and it turns out to be cheezy awesome!

Organic (23)

Craving for meat then Grill Beef Steak might be one of your selection as again, being well deep fried and special ingredient from the chef to make the texture taste good! @ RM22.90

Organic (24)

You will be surprise on the taste that how the chef did this desert without egg and milk. Mango pudding @ RM5.90

Organic (25)

This is what happens when there are 2 groups of people, as all being the guys are being busy by capturing all those nice food and as for the girls are all on a table to discuss on recent issue. . :p

If you are ask me where to get nice organic food, this restaurant certainly now being added into one of my recommended list.

For the dishes that had been cook out, I am totally impress by the chef little experience and most definately is because he is super young to be able to cook this kind of organic meal out!

Remark: please do note that this place is not suitable for people who have strong taste bud as you will find this place near tasteless, for vegetarian and organic lover, this place would be a recommended restaurant!

*quite surprise that they are HALAL outlet!
