Delifrance (9)

Delifrance (10)

One that really caught our attention is their fresh Mushroom Soup serve with one slice of fresh garlic toast. Rather impressive with the quality of mushroom soup that is blended with a few types of mushroom, aromatic and slightly thick to my likings. NOt to be miss if you are in here.

Delifrance (11)

Love the fragrance of Duck Confit and if I have a piece of fresh toast bread to input along would be a perfect combo for me. Always can side order to pair along. Sauce is light and mash potato is just nice.

Delifrance (12)

Lobster Bisque @ RM 11.90. Taste is pretty salty to my liking.

Delifrance (13)

 Aglio Alio @ Rm 14.90

Delifrance (15)

Another Item that I find it pretty good is their Lasagna @ RM 13.90, cheeze been bake till its slightly hard on the top yet when you scoop it will have the cheezy pulling effect. Tomato base is slightly sour that pairs well with the mince meat and I guess its another item that worth for you to try.

Delifrance (16)

Braised Lamb Shank is not bad as the meat is soft and gravy is just mild for me. @ RM 34.90

Delifrance (17)

If you are looking for a quick meal, here is not a bad option with Mushroom soup and bread . . .

tR (1)

tR (2)

Some of you may know that Tony Romas is famous for their ribs especially those who have visited Singapore and the outlet there would have been telling me non stop how good is that.

tR (3)

tR (5)

Bountiful Beef Ribs – Roma Rack @ RM53.90 / Full Slab @ RM78.90

Served along with two entrees, the juicy beef ribs that are glazed in Tony Roma’s original barbecue sauce and its not too dry. If you are keen to explore further, there are 4 bottle of sauces available to pair for your likings..

tR (6)

Welcoming their latest new item into the menu is Lamb Ribs – Roma Rack @ RM49.90/ Full – RM 78.90.

tR (7)

The taste of lamb is awesome that is well marinated, and grill to perfection that the meat just breaks easily and fats that comes along is quite even. Just that some of the ribs have more fats and overall, this dish is done pretty good with special sauce that the chef have created that make its another great dish to be hunt in the menu.

Sushi Tei is one of my favourite Japanese restaurant compare to a few in our Malaysia market. It definitely falls on personal preference. I was firstly expose to this brand when I was visiting my friend in Jakarta, Indonesia 6 years ago and they know that I love food, this was one of a Japanese Restaurant that they told me, die die also must try. Back in those time, I have yet to start my food blogging as just enjoy my food whenever I travel.

Love the range that they offer and its pretty unique on the combination and rolls that they have. At that time, KL have yet so many different types of Japanese Cuisine that is similiar to this range except 1 in 1-Utama that always pack with people.

sushi tei (1)

When I first saw this brand landed in Tropicana City Mall 2 years ago, I was very happy that finally it had landed in KL. Nevertheless the brand had establish itself well with a few outlets now available in Klang Valley and Penang. Of course what can we expect next? Try out their new menu for year 2013 onwards also at their latest outlet which is at Setiawalk, Puchong.

sushi tei (2)

The outlet interior is no difference from the rest of the outlet.

sushi tei (3)

sushi tei (4)

sushi tei (5)

Sunrise @ RM5.80, Bloody Sprite @ RM5.80

sushi tei (6)

Design of the new menu looks much better compare to the previous one. Choosing food would not be a problem as more pictures are in it now.

sushi tei (7)

Premium Yee Sang (for 8-10pax)@ RM68.80

sushi tei (8)

Premium really justify the price whereby it comes with cuts of salmon sashimi and prawns

sushi tei (9)

I must say that, I have tried a few yee sang for the past 2 weeks and I rate this is one of the top 2 in my personal list. If you do host any of your reunion dinner at home and lack of yee sang, this is one of a place to ta pau back. I am definitely getting 1 for my family. 🙂

Fresh ingredient and the special mixing sauce that pairs well with the fresh ingredient and did not over power it. A well balance with all the ingredient. REcommended~

sushi tei (10)

Ameabi Kaarage @ RM12.80, One of the signature dish that me and Ken always love to order or never miss is their Salmon Skin @ RM6.80. At the price of it we find it very reasonable, a great snack to start to get our mouth munching. Fried to crisp with every bite and do eat it while its serve fresh. You can choose to dip along with their mayo but we always love to bite it just like that.

sushi tei (11)

First dish from salad range already caught my attention with its chunks of tuna, salmon and squid on top of the salad. Sashimi Salad @ RM16.80. Something green and healthy, this is a appetizer that you shall  not miss. Not only filled with fresh sashimi, the kick that make the whole salad taste awesome is their very own dressing. Filled with light taste of vinegar, and chef special ingredient that make this dish gone in seconds. – REcommended~

sushi tei (12)

Another new item that are in the menu is Kaisen Ramen Salad @ RM28.80. To me it looks weird for the first time as I never have my ramen with salmon sashimi slices like that before. Its always with pork or chicken slice. Not only that, as there are 3 huge flab of crab meat that smack along on it too. The meat is cold and fresh, that once you had that slice you would want to finish the remaining 2 instantly.

Ramen texture is cook to the right texture and the sauce that make it pairs well. I think this would be best to share with another person.

sushi tei (13)

Chuka Fukahire @ RM 6.80, Ika Geso Tataki @ RM 11.80 &  Ika Okura @ RM 5.40

sushi tei (14)

We were lucky to be in the outlet at the right timing as usually fresh sashimi will arrage to most of the Japanese outlet on every Tuesday and Friday. We are here on Friday, therefore these are sashimi are perfectly fresh! Arima (4 kinds) @  RM59.80Tuna Belly, Yellow Tail, Sweet Shrimp, Raw Scallop

sushi tei (15)

Asama (5 piece)  -Tuna, Yellow Tail, Salmon@ RM35.80

sushi tei (16)

There are also new rolls being introduce with Manguro Lover @ RM11.80,  Dynamic Roll @  RM16.80 & Lobster Salad @ RM12.80,. Among these 3, I prefer Maguro and lobster salad.

sushi tei (17)

Usually we have this with beef slice but this round they have added in another item Salmon Enoki Roll @ RM12.80

sushi tei (18)

Beef Teriyaki is a simple item that I prefer that the beef cubes cook till medium well, then I love mine added on with lots of garlic slices.

sushi tei (19)

Gindara Teriyaki is always one of my favourite that the cod being pan grill to perfect that its slightly crips on the outer layer yet the cod fish meat is well preserve that did not overcook. @ RM26.80, & Sanma Kabayaki @ RM14.80

sushi tei (20)

Gyoza @ RM9.80

sushi tei (21)

Golden Soft Shell Crab @ RM12.80

sushi tei (22)

Hotate Wasabi Mayo is not bad and if the wasabi mayo is a little more spicy then it would have been perfect.  @ RM8.80

sushi tei (23)

Ika Sugata Shio if the size of the squid is smaller or this size is nice to my liking, anything big I just cant take it. 😀 (just me) @ RM15.80

sushi tei (24)

Another item that I like is their Ikura Chawanmushi, very simple with salmon roe @ RM12.80Asari Sakamushi @  RM23.80Agedashi Tofu

sushi tei (25)

oh oh, when fried rice was serve, we all look down on it and why fried rice was serve after we had a awesome sashimi and rolls. This Choi Kara Fried RiceSpicy Fried Rice with Crab Meat  @ RM18.80 proves us wrong. Fried fragrantly, that is something simple and nice, written there spicy but its only mild spicy that bring the fragrance up. Those who need to have rice, then this is the new item that you must try. – Recommended~

sushi tei (26)

Another nice rice item for you is Tan Tan Don, comes with mince chicken meat, top with poarch egg and how I eat this dish is I poke the egg yolk then stir the whole bowl till its evenly mix. Then put in one bite into your mouth will be a well balance of yolky egg, slight salty and spiciness at the end. Something to entice your taste bud abit.  @ RM11.80

sushi tei (27)

Gyu Misoyaki @ RM15.80

sushi tei (28)

Special sauce to dip for the beef. I did it wrong in the first place and then I was taught properly by the waiter on how to get the best of this beef slice.

sushi tei (29)

First dip the fresh beef slice into the sauce then leave it on the hot plate for a quick turn. If you love yours medium well, then just flip both side about 8 second each and its ready to eat.

I did it wrong by did the beef slice then dip the sauce after that.

The difference is, did it the right way, the sauce will soak onto the beef slice and make it aromatic.

sushi tei (30)

Comes to desert I always thought my favourite would be green tea but this round their new product Yogurt Forest Berry @ RM7 steal the limelight. I prefer this over  Matcha Ice Cream & Sesame @ RM7

sushi tei (31)

Their new menu and new product being introduce, is something to look for when you visit this restaurant. You can try those that I recommend but again it comes down to my own preference. 😀 One of my favourite Japanese Restaurant. . .

Sushi Tei in Setiawalk is next to Roomates or nearby TGV cinema wing already.

Good food is definitely hard to find, more ever those that you found and like, quality to maintain is another challenge. One place definately did not let us down so far is Sanook Bistro and Spots Bar never let us down so far, even we patron this place numerous time as normal customer, the consistantcy of food is there. I have blog about this place before last year (click here). This restaurant is actually a hidden restaurant right in Kelana Jaya yet overlook the lake.

sanook (2)

As for football fans, its will be a great place to hang out too, with huge screen special beer promo and ample parking around the area. As for this year, the Godfather had decided its time to change its food menu and came out with interesting food range that never fail to impress us.

Sanook (1)

I am totally impress with their wine menu, as this is the first time I came across a restaurant that write the characteristic of the wine and description of drinking. A totally perfect menu for me that I always have difficulties in looking for my bottle of wine yet asking the waiter/waitress they would not know what to recommend.

Sanook (2)

As its still early, we decided to chill with their signature Margarita @ RM11. A glass that is not too strong, with perfectly blend ice filled with salt at the glass and a slice of lemon. I ended having 2 glass. 😀

Sanook (3)

Jeng Jeng JEng.. here is the new menu, a unique way of capturing attention with chef special and road sign being install as a main attention grabber icon in the menu. BY many unique names and description in the menu have the attraction to attack us by telling us everything is good. – Dangerous!

Sanook (4)

Gyro Lamb Pita @ RM18 – Sliced boneless marinated lamb leg with veggies & black olives, stuffed in fresh homemade pita bread packets, with special yoghurt mint mint sauce. It look rather simple like any other pita bread that I am having. With first bite, lamb being well marinated and burst with flavor as the taste is even better when you dip with their yogurt mint.

Sanook (5)

Spicy Mermaid Salad @ RM22

For greens lover, something light to go after with seafood then it is filled with Sauteed tiger prawns & calamari rings tossed with roasted capsicums, asparagus, cubed Japanese cucumbers & romaine lettuce in Sanook’s special house dressing.

Sanook (6)

I prefer Moogus Salad @ RM22

Grilled Sirloin Beef & Asparagus tossed with wild rocket salad topped with parmesan cheese and roasted red capsicums in house special dressings. As its just simple and I always prefer meat over seafood in salad. 😀

Sanook (7)

Kim Yang Lamb Cutlets @ RM52

Kim’s favorite lamb cutlets coated in Korean Spices, charbroiled to perfection & accompany with Korean Kimchi. As unique as the name could tell you, this lamb certainly is one of a recommended dish in the menu. Marinated to perfection and cook to well that the meat is tender and juicy. Sauce is totally unique and nearly bone licking good.

Sanook (8)

Masala Rib Eye @ RM42

Prime cuts of beef rib eye (250 gram) coated with chef’s special mix of garam masala, grilled to perfection and accompany by vegetable kebabs.

Sanook (9)

A mix for us sometimes would be good as it give you the option. Again the sauce is the main item not to be miss to dip.

Sanook (10)

Sotong Otak Otak @ RM30

Sanook (11)

Grilled whole squid (250 grams) stuffed with prawn otak otak (spicy prawn paste), served with sambal tumis , pilaf rice, garden greens, garnished with prawn crackers, almond & fried shallots

Sanook (12)

When I saw this in the menu, I told myself I must order this – Espresso ChickenRM25. Something its totally unique and first time I came across.

Tender chicken chop with espresso honey glazed and then roasted to perfection & served with pomelo salad, corn mojo, citrus bean salsa paired with tortilla chips. Sauce on the chicken is just amazing.

Sanook (14)

Teriyaki Char Siew @ RM22 – Tenderly broiled chicken, brushed with special sweet soy sauce marinate, garnished with piquant plum sauce & green onions served with herbal pilaf rice

Sanook (13)

Tom Yum Goong Pisek @ RM29 – Soup lover that love tomyum, its bad that you miss this soup as the owner himself is nearly half Thai and very particular of his soup that he needs to ensure that the soup stays authentic as possible whereby what he prefer. Spicy enough to make you go numb for a while, sourish enough to my level and a perfect companion with rice.

Sanook (15)

I always told myself, I am going to skip their pizza this round yet I always end up ordering. SPICY THAI MANGO TUNA PIZZA. They are well famous for their hand tossed thin crust pizza. @ RM 33

Sanook (16)

In this bar, their firewood pizza is also one of their signature item that must not miss, home made thin crust with generous filling is always a must with beer while watching football. This is totally new flavour, weird by its name but taste good in your mouth.

Sanook (17)

Some of you might not like the sesame seed like me as I do not prefer the taste yet the aroma of lamb help me pair off the taste well. Sesame Honey Lamb Pizza @ RM35

Sanook (18)

Marie’s Crepe Suzette @ RM17 – Freshly pan fried french crepes flavored with creamy fresh orange juice and citrus zest. Orange zest taste might be a bit strong especially taste of orange skin taste is very visible but when comes to desert its hard for me to say no. crepes are thick in a mouthful bite are just nice and orange pairs it well yet a scoop of ice cream would me it perfect!

Sanook (19)

Every one went crazy of this Henry’s mud cake @ RM11. Serve pippin hot, small portion enough to satisfy your desert crave or end your dinner in style that mud cake is moist with warm chocolate in it.

Sanook (20)

After reading the post, might sound that I have like praised nearly everything, well, this is the Sanook Bistro that we are expecting as it never fail us with their consistant food quality as I have mention and the chef behind all these food are just amazing to make every portion right and perfect. As far as I know their new menu is amazing.

Good for you to give it a try.

Toh Yuen (8)

I never say no to soup, especially anything with double boil along with herbal is a must for me! Double Boiled Village Chicken with “Chong Cao Hua” (Cordyceps) Soup, ingredients that added in have curing effect that the herb helps prevent aging and stimulates the immune systems.

Toh Yuen (9)

Double Boiled Wild Chicken with ”Shi Hu” Soup

Comparing both soup, I like both of them and depends on what you need for the day as it helps on immune system by the end of the day. 🙂 Love both of them and if I can get 2 big pot of it, sure loving it~

Sautéed Fresh Prawn with Salted Egg Yolk @ RM 50 would be a perfect dish for lazy people like me that do not like to peel its shelf out. Its all been peel out and fried to perfection in the wok with salted egg yolk coated well with its thick texture.

Toh Yuen (14)

Deep Fried Smoked Duck with Fruit Sauce is something new and one of a recommended dish!  @ RM 38 . Preparation process was smoke along with tea leaves and one of the reason dragon fruit was used is to balance up the taste to avoid it to be oily.

Toh Yuen (15)

Sautéed Venison Slice with Chinese Croissants & Cumin @ RM 50

Toh Yuen (16)

First time stepping foot into Mandarin Grill is certainly another new level of experience for me, as always the main entrance projects me the impression that they are serving buffet line, neither did I know its actually a contemporary restaurant. Not only that, with chances of being here along with few others are totally slim. Mandarin Oriental is known for its award winning owner and operator, therefore Mandarin Grill is something I am looking up at.

Many of foodies like us we surely heard about Michelin star restaurant, which is a fine dine exclusive restaurant that maintain its quality all year long. There are none in Malaysia. Guess what, now Mandarin Grill is getting an exclusive chef with experience in cooking 2-Michelin star restaurant is the new chef heading the kitchen as Chef de Cuisine is Chef Reto Weber.

The rest are just enjoy to the max with this desert.
