Year 2012 had pass and indeed it is a great year for me. Traveling more places in a year with both local and international that I have yet to blog about it. ūüėÄ

Along with thanks to all of you my reader and friends, along with both PR and Advertising companies for motivating me to keep on going as its my 4th year of blogging.

HOpe you guys did celebrate New Year Eve with a blast and lets welcome  year 2013. Wish all of you all the best and smooth sailing in everything all of us do . .

Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle all the way. . Christmas season is one of the most happy festive seasons of all, with joyfull mood, every where, nice and huge Christmas decoration and songs around all the malls had made it even more Christmas mode. Its one of a festival that me and my friends always looking forward too.

Well, in my country the only thing I was input during I was young is White Christmas, means filled with snow or winter. My country is hot and nothing we can do about it but to enjoy this great occasions. With all this, most of the restaurant or Hotels take the opportunity to provide great experience in their own dining area.

I was given the privilege to dine at Shereton Imperial Hotel in Kuala Lumpur for the great experience. Being first time in this hotel, I am amaze with all the restaurant in this hotel on their offerings.

Before we head for our dining, our first pit stop is to enjoy Cocktail at Villa Danieli while waiting for our dinner being prepared by 3 chefs of different restaurant.  The cocktails are just simply refreshing.

I  just love this restaurant with its classy dining interior that gives a great place to dine with friends. Then I took the opportunity to explore around the buffet range.

We start off our dining experience with Devine Festive Treats menu from Celestial Court 

In addition to the live buffet station, diners can also choose their dishes from a special festive a la carte menu ‚Äď some of the delicious options offered are Roasted Crispy Chicken served with Hong Kong Spicy Dried Scallop Flavor; Pan Seared Beef Tenderloin Cubes and Shimeiji Mushroom; Crispy Prawns with Minced Nutmeg, Sesame and Mayonnaise Dressing; ‚ÄúSiew Mai‚ÄĚ topped with Mini Braised Abalone, Scallop Yam Puff Rings with Seafood Filling in White Cream Sauce and more! This promotion is priced at RM168++ per person (minimum of 2 persons) and at RM208++ with free flow draught beer of house wine.

Deep fried cheese ball with prawn, beancurd and spinach and Beijing Lamb and leek dumpling served with hot bean sauce.  (from left- with solid ingredient and aromatic, just nice to dip along with a light chili sauce to bring up the taste even better.)

Tempura soft shell crab served with shredded yam, pumpkin in wasabi mayo. Great creation for the sauce that make it hard to resist.

Villa Danieli –¬†Dill and Szechuan pepper¬†marinated then steamed¬†Cod Medallion¬†with white asparagus and sauteed baby spinach , roasted pine nuts and saffron vanilla hollandaise sauce. Cod is just so fresh, and the sauce pair with it so well. One of my favourite for the night.

This amazing food presentation, presents you ¬†King Prawns Salad¬†with oven roasted cherry tomato, carrots, red onion, leeks and celery crispy flakes, tomato raspberry and cardamom coulisse, aromatic herbs ash’s extra virgin olive oil. Simple and refreshing with¬†succulent¬†prawns.

Plum glazed duck breast with creamy fennel slaw. We are all aiming on this slice and on my side finish this instantly and we were aiming for next table on this. Duck breast is so fragrant that a single slice like this that put inside your mouth instantly burst with flavor.

 Butternut squash risotto a little creamy yet I like. Definitely you have to share this dish if not will end up too filling.

2011 is coming to an end very soon and New Year Eve for 2012 is very soon which is about 10 days away. Many of us would think back what you have acheive so far and would write a new list of resolution for the following year. How many did you actually acheive what you wrote? A fruitful year for you or a bad year for you? We always hope for the best in the following year.

This movie is another movie that feature many famous actor and actress and alot of things to feel in this movie, that mention, LOVE is the primary things that keep us moving which I find it pretty true, you can love your job, love your wife, love your parents, love your dog, anything that makes your year complete and looking forward.

I would say a great movie to watch as its funny and meaningful. Catch it and you will tend to cherish more things in your life if you understand what the movie trying to say. Recommended Movie~

After our quick dinner at Maha House as I mention we do have a few places to visit for the night, then next we head to Kampung Gajah, bandung to take a quick tour as this place already close for the day, as my friend recommend one of the places to visit during day time. Then I google up what this place have to offer as it is more like a friends and family gateway to enjoy their activities such as Flying Fox, Swing and Swing, and of course some restaurants. Just spend a few minutes to take a quick snapshot then we heading to Kampung Daun which is Highly Recommended by me if you do visit Bandung. A place that filled with very classic traditional filled with their culture ambiance that located right in the middle of the forest that had transform to a perfect dining area.

All the dining area are build in their very own unique way and it is really a huge place to walk around. You would like to dine in a very homey ‚ÄėKampung Style‚Äô dining, then can go for this kind of ambiance, that seated with a table of 6 and if you have more pax they have bigger place.

As we walked further up at this chill and fresh environment with the sound of waterfall flowing, we feel so fresh and relax. . .

Another type of dining area which is more casual that be seated on a ‘rattan’ style with pillow to support. . .

With the natural water flowing from the top of the hill, they had make it as the heart of the restaurant as hut or dining area can hear the sound of it. . .

Then we choose a hut that filled with mat paved on the wooden flank, then just lye on the cushion enjoy chatting and the ambiance of it, with the group of new friends. . . .

We are looking forward to return to Kampung Daun to try out their Indonesian Cuisine, as my friend said its not bad. .

After spending 1 hour at this cozy place, its time for us to get even more relax as we were brought to this Hot Natural Hot Spring at 11pm at night and the weather around the area is around 21degree which is just perfect to dip in this warm pool.

There are 2 pool which is 1 about room temperature and the other pool which is warmer.

Do bear in mind that to come to this place, will need to bring your own clothing, trunks or swimwear, and of course towel, if not to purchase there, its extremely expensive.

Soaking ourselves for quite a while and on the way heading back, they introduce us a place which is nice for satay especially the meat is ‚ÄėRabbit‚Äô

I have always miss the satay in Indonesia as their peanut sauce is a bit different that do add in some of sweet soy sauce and their own spicy sauce. So sad that they do not served Rabbit meat that day as it was their signature if not mistaken, then ordered mutton and beef. It was good too, as it was just bbq as it is.

Their ‚ÄėJagung Bakar‚Äô is always better then our local Malaysia version as they do season it a while in milk + their own sauce then spread with heavy butter and leave it a while there till the butter soak into the corn till its very aromatic .

It was quite a tiring journey as in a short span from 7.30pm – 1.30am we went to 4 places and the journey in between is not near. . .

Fish Farm Thai Restaurant During New Year Eve, whole group of my best friend came down to KL to celebrate and then since they started to know I blog about food and they had arrange the dinner to be somewhere unique and dalam dalam. When they told me about the location of the restaurant I ponder a while, keep recalling what are they talking about and Google through it, there are a few bloggers mention about this place most of them without address. When got the address from them I was like haaaaa…middle of nowhere. On the way there, it took me a few guessing and turning before reaching this place and only I realize that, Ampang Lookout Point is just there. (then only I realise that, the recent outing of Thai food seems to have unique locations and ambience)

If you head from Ampang, you will pass through Lookout Point and proceed further down around 500m-800m, on your right you will see this small gate. That is where to turn in which is a private property. Then will have to drive through about 5 mins with the rocky and non tar road up and downhill till you reach this very huge parking space and farms around.

This is how the location of the Thai restaurant looks like, build with wood planks above the ponds that filled with fish Koi. If you have phobia of the wood planks broke then you can be seated on this very hard solid ground.

As I am the last one to reach, I got punish with this glass. I thought it was Barley but to my surprise that when I about to drink it, it smells so weird and the first sip, my face smirk till cant event see my eyes. It taste so awful and only learn that it is ‘Tody’ which is known as alcoholic drinks from coconut. This cup of drink definately not my type but my friend enjoys it alot. Small-RM 5

Meal of the night kick start with ‘Tomyam Seafood’ very hot and spicy and its quite sour too. Seafood were fresh. RM15

‘Telapia Steam Limau Thai Style’ served with topping with chunks of garlic to enhance the taste of the soup and the chili to stir up some some spiciness as its something clear that blends well with the fish. RM33

This is the star of the night ‘Deep Fried Telapia’ which had been deep fried with very very hot oil that make the skin very crispy and it the taste of the salty skin then you pull of some of the fish meat to dip with the garlic sour chili sauce given it taste good. RM30

‘Mango Sticky Rice’ RM8 as the desert not as good as it looks, by the end of the meal total bill comes to RM385 but to me, I still feel that Ah Roy Thai still served the best Thai food so far.
What I been told by my friend, this place is constantly full house. So go early to avoid dissapointment.

Christmas Dinner

One of the most wonderfull festive celebration to me is always Christmas. That brings joy and cheer and lights to most of us that recently was invited to Price Hotel for their Christmas and New Year Menu.
The exciting part is I did do pub crawl a few times but I have never tried restaurant hoping. This would be my very first time. Starting Appetizer at Enju Restaurant with their Christmas Festive menu ‘Christmas Eve Set Dinner – 24 December
