I have heard good things about Champignons at Oasis Damansara serves cheap French Fine dining in PJ from my friends. Great food and ambiance is just nice.
Operate by Chef Chang himself that has culinary flair over the years that have decided to operate in this area instead of those prime area like Bangsar or KL.
Recently, he did a collaboration with an invited French Chef – Chef Rapheal Kinimo from Lyon, France as a special guest to run up a 2 day special menu over past weekend. Chef Rapheal is an honour recipient of the Maitres Cuisiners de France which an award in the highest level that a French chef can achieve.

?Foie Gras Lollipop with Port Wine and Seaweed Cracker with Citrus Crab Meat
?Chef Raphel Caviar Tin and Vanilla Poached Lobster and Crustacaen Gelee
?Black Truffle Chicken Consume with Truffle Chicken Liver Tartlet with Onion Jam
?Chef Gary Seared Halibut with Salted Lemon and blue Mussels on a Bouillabaisse sauce
?Smoked Wagyu Beef Rib Eye
? Caramelized Banana with Cepe Mushroom, Milk Chocolate and Cepe Mushroom Ice-cream. this is by far one of the most interesting dessert as where the trend is moving.
A combination of sweet and savoury. With the Cepe Mushroom Ice cream gives you the kind of confusion in your mind where mushroom taste is not too prominent yet it is cold and sweet vanilla taste. Very interesting.
It was quite a good dinner from both chefs and wine pairing is an added value as the wine chosen could been better. Not a bad place to hit on that need not dig deep into your pocket. A consideration of Cheap Fine Dining in KL.
