I think there is a super surge of Malaysia passport renewal June 2022 and I did it online and chose Immigration Jalan Duta as they are very efficient. This is what I learned that you can get your passport done in 2 hours or less than that. Do note that due to huge volume of renewal, now they are operating 8am – 10pm (YES! 10PM – mostly Klang Valley) – click here for their announcement

Find out Immigration center in Malaysia

There are a few easy steps to renew your passport currently through their online system :

Step 1: Renew your passport thru our Malaysia Immigration website

Step 2: very important to upload your pictures correctly

Step 3: you will receive email once all is completed 3rd day onwards. If failed also you will receive email. If you did not receive email on 3rd day onwards also can direct go to immigration center as mostly already ready.

Current Situation:

  1. If you receive email on failed thumbprint
  2. Failed Pictures

Do not bother by calling the immigration hotline as I have been doing that for at least 1 day cuz mine is failed picture upload twice. Till I decided to visit the center in the morning to clarify.

Immigration jalan dutaThis is the situation at 7am and I got shocked. Loook at the queeeeeee. I ask the rela memeber there and asked what time did the first person reach here? he said 6am! Damm!!! It had been daily for the past 10 days. I queue for 10 minutes then I felt it is not right as I just wanted to find out the issue of my rejected picture thru online. Manage to find 1 lady officer and she guided me awesome. Ask me to go back, prepare all my failed picture mention in email and receipt come back any time after 3pm as there are less people. passport renew malaysia On the way back from work and since its jam, I just turn in to try my luck to test what the officer told me is it true or not, for me also to kill time anyway instead of jamming back home. It was 6.15pm and ohhhmygoooddd!!!! Its empty!

I ask the officer, at counter 11 for numbering and guess what. NEXT Number is ME! .Verify my details, IC and passport then snap a new picture on the spot and DONE in 5 FREAKING MINUTES! Was told to come back next day anytime. Queue could be only less than 30 minutes by luck -2-3 hours. He advise again to come after 3pm. Less people from the morning effect.

Immigration malaysia

I got it done less than 5 minutes and park right at the entrance. Do not have to find parking in the morning and round and round for parking space! This is just so easy!

What you do not need to do is wake up early at 5-6am then drive there super early to be no.1 in queue to get it done within 2-4 hours, cramp with people, stand in non air condition sweating all the way. Now can do it at your convenience and just need to go back twice. If you wish to get your passport on the day. I was best advice to reach before 4pm and depends on the crowd in the morning. (so yah, go back twice and done within 1-2 hours) – i would rather do that.

If you do not follow online registration Step 1-3 online you can do walk in at your any convenience time. Walk in process:

Step 1: take number

Step 2: take picture at the booth

Step 3: make payment:

Step 4: go back to original counter to share to the officer that you have paid

Step 5: take another number for collection

Step 6: leave the building and go back la!

Collected my passport 1 week later at 9pm for just less than 15 minutes wait. The queue was less and remember go to the counter and let officer know that you are here to collect as already renew since last week.

I believe many of you that head to Melacca/ Melaka will stop by at this famous mille crepe that is always pack with people (click here). Well, good news for many of us that now the famous cafe had expended its wings to KL and being their first branch, Nadeje now is open at 3 Two Square, PJ which is nearby Jaya 33.

Nadeje (1)

In the premises itself, the cafe is located inside one of the lot and if you are coming in thru Toyota Entrance, that would be the most ideal entrance to hunt for this cafe.

Nadeje (2)

I have heard some of my friends that they have to queue for quite a while and as long as 30-45 minutes for their cakes. I guess luck is on our side when we reach its only 2 person away and within 3  minutes we gotten our cakes. Its a weekday lunch. 🙂

Nadeje (5)

concept of their cafe in KL is totally different compare to their main Branch in Melaka. Its more contemporary design and seating are pretty limited with only 4-5 tables in door and another 3-5 more outdoor.

Nadeje (3)

In this cafe mostly are cakes and coffee are available, more like a tea time hunting ground or craving for dessert then this would be one of the option.

Nadeje (4)

Nadeje (6)

Not only that, as this round I notice that they have doughnut added into their range and as usual, there are many choices of crepes to hunt for.

Nadeje (7)

Nadeje (8)

Nadeje (9)

This is my crepes for taking away as usual I prefer their Original.

Well, people, now you need not drive all the way to Melaka to hunt for your favorite dessert shop as now they are open in this area for less than 10 days.

It had been quite a while since I last visited this shop that used to be one of my favourite shop to come for ‘Tong Sui’ and some kuih when I used to stay in Loke Yew. Kedai Makanan dan Minuman PMK still maintain one of my favourite place to come by as I usuall come here pretty late around 9’ish whereby most of the stuff sold out but still can get those what I want.

PMK (1)

Kedai Makanan dan Minuman PMK is located nearby Pudu Plaza where its not hard to find. A simple coffee shop that offer local delicacies that are pretty well known for their Chinese deserts and snacks that can satisfy my crave easily, would say one of the best stall in KL for tong sui.

PMK (2)

PMK (3)

Price in here are very decent . . .

PMK (4)

Its a simple kopitiam seating arrangement. . .

PMK (5)

Some of their signature kuih .. .

PMK (6)

My Ginger soup with Tong Yuen, is one of my favourite. I used to hate ginger soup as time pass by I learn to accept and start to like it. Ginger soup base here is slightly strong and spicy and those who do not prefer the strong taste would end up disliking it. Comes with sesame filling and pair perfectly with the soup base.

PMK (7)

Another one of my favourite is Herbal Egg Tea, that not many places can cook this tong sui very well. One which I often make a take away as its too good to be miss. Mild in taste yet light fragrant on herbal taste make it a good soup to turn down. Comes with an herbal egg too.

PMK (8)

As when I crave for dumplings, here would be an option that price is reasonable yet comes generous ingredient.

PMK (9)

If any of you do pass by here, here is definitely one of the place to drop by for visit especially on their ‘tong sui’. Well, another recommended place by me.

crystal jade (8)

Skin are quite thin and carefully wrap with the soup in there is just sweet. .

crystal jade (9)

Sichuan Lamian @ RP 40,000

crystal jade (10) It is not spicy as I thought so, filled with peanut and sesame taste that the soup is quite thick. Noodle is just nice. .

Overall, the food here is not bad but definitely better taste compare to the one in KL. Just wonder why.

To have a good food is always a bonus and satisfying. The catch is, good food is always hidden some where and needed to be hunt. That is why we always we love to hunt for hidden food. Let me introduce you another great restaurant which is a hidden gem in Bukit Damansara that serve Aria Traditional Italian Dining.

Aria (1)

Aria (2)

Interior of the restaurant is pretty straight foward that offer cozy ambiance that suits for your business, family and friends hang out spot.

Aria (3)

Seems like the owner is a big fan of Macallan that is also one of my favourite.  :D, found out that he loves single malt alot~

Aria (4)

Aria (5)

If you are looking to host small functions or towards more private session with friends and family, they do have this room to offer with cozy sofa and a tv build in with sliding wooden door to close up.

Aria (6)

For this session, we were given the opportunity to sample some food and we were hosted right upstairs that usually they host for private business function.

Aria (7)

In Italian dining, Bruchetta will always be in the menu as its a very simple and delightful starter to start off with. Simple freshly cut tomato season along with their special dressing that just makes this perfect.

Aria (8)

This is a must order if you do visit this restaurant. Mushroom Bruchetta that cook till perfection and season correctly with their own special sauce and dressing that makes the mushroom taste stand out. – recommended

Aria (9)

as the night starting, we were pamper with Processo Vento is actually champange in Italian version. A champange that easy to go down as its Light and bubbly

Aria (13)

Aria (10)

Lamb Kebab with Aria’s Special Mint Sauce @ RM28

Aria (11)

It looks simple that filled with many skewers as Minced lamb in flavourful onion, bird eye chili, lemon grass, ginger, coriander seed, salt and pepper covered in Aria’s special spicy mint sauce. The sauce is a bomb! By dipping along with the sauce just makes the mince lamb perfect. I dip till to the last drop.

Aria (12)

I love my Italian pizza in thin crust that turns out this Hawaiian Pizzeta @ RM26. A simple pizza that serve along with turkey ham, pineapple, mozarella & oregano and I enjoy it just plainly like that without adding any sauce.

Aria (14)

I have been looking for nice Risotto since after I have been back from overseas. Not many places can actually cook this dish to my liking and I am suprise to find Seafood Risotto in here is just perfect. The risotto cook till its soft and a bit sticky, along with mix seafood that makes it a bit sweet in taste and sour tomato taste just blends in well RM36

Aria (15)

Aglio-Olio Smoke Duck Pasta @ RM36

Aria (16)

This is actually one of their signature in da house and there is no doubt that we were told must sample this, and after we tried it out, we only realize why its a must to try out. Spaghetti was cook till al dante and springy with hint of light olive oil and the taste of salty smoke duck just bring’s up the taste. – Recommended!

Aria (17)

Grilled Tenderloin @  RM70

Aria (19)

For those who loves steak, Medium rare is always my preference as to get the tenderloin remains juicy on every bite. Even better with the first cut and you can see the blood ooze out, as his find piece serve along with sauteed vege, roasted potatoes and a choice of garlic rosemary, black pepper and brown sauce.

Aria (18)

Super smooth fish meat that nears to melting in your mouth when you put it in as this Merluzzo Canadese Atlantico (Canadian Cod Fish)  topped with olive tapenade, vegetables and laden with Mediterranean sauce serve it light and yet very flavourful.  RM65

Aria (20)

As the owner is a big fan of single malt and he let us sample different types of single malt and those 2 are very new to me as I have never heard before for Bruichladdich  and Auchentoshan 18 years old, anything that you hit on with 18 years old would be a bomb. Yamazaki definately need not to explain as its not a stranger to many single malt lover which is the first choice in my list.

Aria (21)

This 10 years old taste very good as the taste is impressive, not too spicy, yet very smooth easy to down with on the rock. Perfect to pair with seafood as it will bring out the freshness taste of the food as we pair it with the cod. Just perfect! Definitely would love to have one bottle of this to keep for my collection. As i have never seen this in the air port.

The restaurant also do sell these bottles whiskey Macallan 12 & 18 years, Auchentoshan 12 & 18 years, Clynelish 14 year as well as Japanese whiskey both blended Hakushu 12-year and single malt Yamazaki 12-year. Price is very reasonable.

Aria (23)

Apple strudel with custard sauce @ RM23

Aria (22)

Aria (24)

Tiramisu @ RM20

Aria (25)

Then to close the whole meal up, the floor manager serve us their special coffee.

I would say, this restaurant is in my recommendation list as for the price and the quality of food hidden in the neighborhood, definitely this is worth to hunt for and a recommended restaurant for Valentine’s Day which is just tomorrow and you still have yet to find a restaurant…Try this out. Sometimes, when you want to hunt for food, every state also got their own popular food. As for last round long weekend holiday, some friend brought me to his hometown for Ipoh Food Hunt to eat some great food which is nearby Ipoh called Pusing (click here). After that, we head back to Ipoh town to hit on some great food recommended by them.

ipoh (1)

There is this one particular little stall hidden under this huge tree. Some called it Under the tree Chee Cheong Fun. Its so famous that in a day he do only a few hours business. Not because he is lansi, just that alot people hunt for his food.

ipoh (2)

This uncle a humble and cheerful guy had been running this little stall for more than 10 years and it had gain popularity among the locals.

ipoh (3)

One of the different style compare to Penang is, he have created his own special sauce.

ipoh (4)

And there are 2 types of chee cheong fun, one which is plain and one which is with mince meat if I am not mistaken.

ipoh (5)

So its pair up with another family run little coffee shop and both of them make the whole place packed up within minutes.

ipoh (7)

This is what is so different from Penang style as Penang we use ‘heh koh’ (prawn paste).

ipoh (8)

But in Ipoh, this uncle had created his own special gravy that shower upon the chee chong fun and according to my friend the gravy is made of pork bones and other great ingredients that make it so rich and sweet in taste. Add on with spicy green chili, brown sauce and some chili sauce just makes it perfect for afternoon tea time. RM2.50 per plate

Some people like my friend will need to have 2 plates at least to satisfy their crave. I would say, if you have not given it a try, it is certainly worth to try, consider this is one of the most famous Chee Cheong Fun in Ipoh.

Remark: you might like it or don like it. More like a love – hate relationship.

Operating hours: 2.30pm till finish (means while stock last)

ipoh (11)

Also I notice alot people order White Coffee here, find out that its a bit strong, foamy on the top and just nice to go for afternoon tea. RM2 if I am not mistaken.

Lahat Lane,
Ipoh, Perak

ipoh (9)

Next is we have to go for what Ipoh is famous for where how white coffee started. Of course I was introduce by one of the best white coffee in Ipoh is located inside this coffee shop, Kedai Kopi Sun Yuan Foong.

ipoh (10)

A normal coffee shop that is packed with many people that usually comes here for breakfast, besides that, the Chee Cheong Fun I mention above, he will operate in this kopitiam in the morning from 8.30am till finish. (where usually finish around 11am)

ipoh (12)

Usually my friend will come here for breakfast and this coffee shop was recommended by 2 of my Ipoh friend already. Guess that it should be good!

ipoh (13)

This is the super star of all White Coffee, as it is in robust coffee that many of our locals will love, a bit thick in texture and for many coffee lovers, you will fall in love with this white coffee. I certainly would love to have 2 glass of this, but surely will hang over later as in yawn and fall asleep. – Recommneded!!!!!

ipoh (14)

This is what my friend will have for breakfast, hot white coffee and with this half boil egg with toast. .

ipoh (15)

Soft break like using the (bakery head brand) where you can find in pasar malam, toast to perfection and topple with this 2 half boil egg.

Food Rating 10/10, Highly Recommended for its white coffee~

ipoh (16)

Besides all those white coffee, Ipoh also famous for its Ipoh Chicken Rice, as this is my very first shop I have visited when I first came to Ipoh is Restaurant Onn Kee. One of the reason last time my friend introduce me this shop was because many celebrities came by to this outlet to eat and that’s how I ended up here.

This is not only the restaurant avail as in this stretch of street there are 3 giant players in the area and this restaurant is one of it. Every one prefer different outlet and it really depends on your taste.

ipoh (17)

The crowd pour in non stop and the chef just non stop chopping on the chicken.

ipoh (18)

This is how busy the shop can be during long weekend. All shops are super crowded.

ipoh (19)

You will never want to miss the bean sprout in Ipoh as they are grown differently. According to my friend they are grown by using mineral water, therefore the bean spout in Ipoh is fat and juicy.

ipoh (20)

This is the Ipoh White Chicken (cantonese – Ipoh Nga Choi Kai).

ipoh (21)

Homemade pork and fish balls.

ipoh (22)

Silky smooth koay teow .. . .

Among 3 restaurant available in the area, this shop is my last choice, as the chicken texture and koay teow I do not really like it, but my friend prefer this shop.

Well, it depends on your individual taste as I prefer the one next to this shop. After your Chicken Rice, please do not miss one of the best Soya Bean (Funny Mountain Soya Bean – click here) which is just on the next street which is about 3 minutes walk. Total Damage was around RM 40 if I am not mistaken for a pax of 4

Food Rating 5/10, i find it so so only . .nothing to boast about~
