Arthur’s Day at Dirty Nelly @ KL Live

Guinness Arthur’s Day is coming to an end very soon as I manage to pop in another cool bar where they are moving around. One of the chosen location is Dirty Nelly that newly renovated and operated few months back. Huge space and definitely suits all those office crowd that are nearby. This is my second visit to this outlet as first round we came, we order quite alot of food. (click here)

How can you be at this event without having a nice pint of Guinness.

Crowd starts to pour in as that day it was heavy rain and it took me 90 minutes to reach this place from PJ.

Hungry people like us, we would need food to start off with and of course we would want to order back the food what we had last round to ensure the quality is there. Verdict 70% near.

Potato Leak soup is good, thick, creamy and just prefect as what I like. Have to eat it hot right after its been serve. After it is left cold, it taste weird.

Fried Jalapeno

Beer lovers would love this, as it pairs well with my Guinness. Not really spicy as it is as we believe its a tone down version.

One of the best dish or my favourite is Gammon Steak with Pineapple & Fried Duck Egg @ RM45. pan grill to perfection that the steak is cook well, soft and easily cut. Sauce that added along make it moist and not too dry. Loving it. – recommended

DIRTY NELLY’S – Mix of PORK, BEEF & LAMB with their own secret herbs. Garnished with English pepper and Jalapeño peppers, topped with grilled bacon and sunny side up duck eggs and mustard mash on the side. RM53

This burger have a sligt different taste compare to what we have 2 months ago. Meat did not mince well this round as a slight cut the meat are broken into pieces. Taste is pretty different too as its slightly dry. I guess it was full house crowd that cook have to give a bit discount.

Nelly’s Belly Served with steamed vegetables, onion and apple sauce @ RM 45. Pork lovers, you will fall deeper in love with this as this huge ass rack enough to KO you, with pork fats belly that melts in your mouth, soft cut meat that easy for you to chew and I pair it with my beer and mustard. Its satisfaction. – Recommended

We had lots of fun that night with Ash, Sharon and friends around we make it a crazy bunch. 😀

WEll, the full artiste line-up for its Arthur’s Day celebration that will be happening simultaneously over 5 hours at 3 locations around the Klang Valley on the 28th September 2012. The line-up for Arthur’s Day will be headed by Hong Kong superstar Justin Lo. This round it will take place at Beer Factory, Laundry Bar & SOULed OUT, with each venue offering a unique Musical Experience.

3 different locations will feature different artist as one of the regions hottest bands, River Maya, and Malaysia’s very own talents in Reshmonu, Jaclyn Victor & Will Ng. These music stars will lead the 2012 celebrations to honour the life and legacy of Arthur Guinness .

Line up for 3 locations of Arthursday 2012 will be as below:

Beer Factory, Sunway Giza

Hong Kong superstar Justin Lo will be in attendance to raise the roof. Sharing the stage alongside him is Malaysia’s very own Will Ng. 2 bands from the arTHURSDAY Talent Search will warm up the crowd and the stage for a night of music and GUINNESS®.

In order to enter, GUINNESS® fans only need to pay RM100 for men and RM50 for women, which also includes unlimited pints of GUINNESS® Draught all night long.

Laundry Bar, The Curve

GUINNESS® fans that choose to this venue will be entertained by River Maya. Besides that, 2 of Malaysia’s hottest emerging bands from the arTHURSDAY Talent Search will also be in attendance to rock the house!

The party is open to the public and GUINNESS® Draught will be on a promotional price of RM30nett for two (2) half pints throughout the night.

SOULed OUT, Sri Hartamas

Fans of Reshmonu and Jaclyn Victor can head on over to SOULed OUT, Sri Hartamas to catch their favourite local artiste in performance. Joining them on stage will be the remaining 2 bands from the arTHURSDAY Talent Search.

The party is open to walk-in guests and there will be fantastic offers on GUINNESS® infused food as well as half-pints of GUINNESS® Draught at RM8nett all day long.

Malones Irish Restaurant & Bar @ Jaya One, PJ

One of the latest addition to the F&B area in Jaya One is this new outlet Malones Irish Restaurant & Bar. The brand itself is no stranger to us as they have a few outlets located in prime location in KL shopping malls.

Jaya One which is their latest outlet and one of the new findings to me is that this would be their first Non-Halal outlet as the rest are all pork free.

Love this outlet as it provides modernise classic ambiance with all rustic furniture in the outlet that provides a very comfortable dining and drinking place. Been one of my hang out spot for drinks after work . .

According to their Managing Director ““We want Malones to be the most loved Irish restaurant and bar in the Klang Valley. People come to Malones to be themselves, to unwind, and to have a great time with their friends.”

Besides that, Mr. Andrew Reddy said, “The reason we selected Jaya One for our latest Malones outlet is because of its strategic location in the well-established commercial district of Section 14. We are definitely excited with the opening of our fifth outlet in one of the most happening part of Petaling Jaya and we look forward to serving folks in and around PJ with Malones’ special brand of hospitality.”

As currently they are doing promotion for their new opening, we can get 3 pint of Guinness or Tiger for only RM48nett. That’s how I ended up here. . 😀 also that they serve 6 types of draft beers.

To add on to the excitement, 30 pints of Guinness is given out free daily for a limited time – guests have to locate the QR code on the lift doors at Jaya One to download the e-voucher. (I know where is it) :p

Pool table for you play and chill along too . .

So for the night, we kick start our meal with Porky Platter @ RM 37.90 – Traditional Crackling Pork Belly, BBQ Ribs and Pigs in Blanket. Served with shallot vinegar, BBQ sauce and mustard.

A simple platter that I love to go along with my beer as what been serve pair well with it as the pork ribs are well marinated with bbq sauce, followed by roast pork dip with their special vinegar sauce and sausage with bacon dip with their special mustard sauce just perfect.

Paddy steak Sandwich @ RM28.90 – Irish style steak sandwich. Served with poached egg and mustard spread with deep fried sliced russet potatoes on the side.

If this steak sandwich is done medium then it would be a perfect sandwich with its poach egg semi hard that with one easy poke the yolk flowing out.

One of my favourite for the night is this Irish Sausages on Colcannon and Guiness Onion Gravy @ RM29.90 – Grilled pork sausages served with Guinness onion gravy and Colcannon (cabbage and spring onion mash). Well prepared that the gravy is just nice, not too salty and serve along with different types of sausages and best of all is their mash potato. Silky smooth and aromatic, we just kept digging it non stop.

Of course with all porky dish being serve, how could we not have alcohol being order as enjoying along with my Guinness. . .

BBQ Ribs @ RM49.90(Full) – Full back pork ribs slow cooked until fall-off-the-bone tender. Served with BBQ sauce, chips and coleslaw

BBQ Pork Ribs @ RM29.90(Half)

Guiness Beef Stew @ RM 29.90 – Seared beef cubes stewed in Guinness and root vegetables for 4 hours. Served with slices of Tuscan bread.

Pork Knuckle @ RM39.90 – Traditional German Style knuckle marinated in beer and brine for a day. Served perfectly tender and juicy with mashed potatoes and special brown sauce.

Time needed to be serve: 25 minutes (make sure you have time to wait for it to be made fresh from the kitchen)

Good news to all of you that work there or nearby, as they are offering weekdays set lunch (11am- 3pm), offering its patrons some great food selections at value-for-money prices (Soup + Entrée + IceLemon Tea from RM12.90++ onwards).

St.Patrick @ Jarrod & Rawlins, Damansara

For the year 2012, one of the way to kick start or to enjoy great time by starting off with celebration of St.Particks day and the month-long GUINNESS® St Patrick’s celebrations has gone full throttle with parties happening at Jarrod & Rawlins last week. All of us having great time and were treated to a myriad of fun games, exciting entertainment and side splitting comedy that had us laughing in stitches on a few sessions!

after a long week on work, here we are to enjoy the pre celebration and also best of all that one thing we shall not miss is the beer. . .

Fresh Guinness draft that is perfect to start off with. . .

some of us do get personalize mug cuz come in a group and those who pay of course got it, 1 Bucket of Gunnness or 4 pints of Stout will entitle you a personalize mug.

Some of the pretty girls in charge of different sections and these two are in charge of gaming. The trick is the most bottom cup with a big red tap sticker and just stack all the cups from bottom to top within 60 seconds till the red sticker cup appear back and win a prize.

Here are some of the signature dish for St.Patrick, everything is in green as its the official colour. .

I did not know that its chicken breast till one of them told me, as I thought it were capsicum. The chicken breast is juicy and moist suprisingly and perfect to dip along with the green mayo and some chili sauce.

This is how happy every one is when have a pint of Guinness on their hand and cheers to every one~

The event started with a bang with performers coming out cheerfully with music blend into it that make the atmosphere even better.

I just love these few character as they are just so attractive

This year, Malaysia GUINNESS® St Patrick’s will be the biggest St Patrick’s celebration in ASIA. Best Alcohol Ice Cream @ Gecko, PJ Trade Center

Who would really know that actually in PJ Trade center hidden a few bars and restaurant and a new discovery in the small area we found Gecko Restaurant, Bar & Lounge with a very unique desert that worth to be share with you guys.

A place that offers comfy dining in a very peaceful environment

They have tiger and Guinness draft available for you beer drinkers. . .

Chicken Merguez Sausage

As below are all the super stars for the night, as for the first time we come across superb alcohol ice cream. So we ordered a few and this is the first one that came.

Single Malt 12 years old Macallan – Ice cream is quite solid soft that pairs the taste of Macallan very well, that is not too strong, yet get to taste the alcohol is there and did not overpower the taste of vanilla. – RM 12

The super star of the night is this Guinness Flavor! It is exactly like drinking Guinness! I think would be very best to order a pint of Guinness and put a few scoops of this to make it like alcohol float! Recommended! RM10

Italian Kahlua, I would say more suits to girls as Kahlua already known by itself its a coffee liquor that is not too strong in flavour and best perfect to pair with milk and it is just right to go along. RM 10

Another Flavor is Johnnie Walker – Turns out to be not bad but have tasted the best above so my taste bud had overpower this flavor. RM 10

Bailey’s Mud Pie @ RM 10

I often had Mud Pie but never come across this Bailey’s Mud Pie that a soft warm chocolate pie is place on a mini sea alcohol of Baileys. The taste is warm, filled with alcohol and a perfect combination with ice-cream that makes it very unique in taste! – Recommended

Peanut Butter Snow Pie @ RM 10

If you are looking for something different for your desert, Gecko is one of the place to hunt for something you rarely try and its good! as for my own personal favourites of Ice – Cream I would choose 2 flavours is a must try is Guinness and Macallen!

Besides that, Gecko offer services such as:

3. Saturday Happy hour all day long
