Omega Pork Noodle @ Kota Damansara

Previously I was recommended to try Omega Pork Noodle as one of a famous pork noodle shop in Kota Damansara, PJ. As one of my favourite is actually Ten Noodle which is just 2 rows away which is also selling Pork Noodle.

So it is kinda Ten Noodle vs Omega Pork Noodle and which is your favourite?Omega Pork Noodle operate slightly different as the ambiance for here is certaily more comfortable with air condition. There is a purchase of 1 cup then you get to refill your favourite drinks or try different drinks at your liking at only RM 3.90

Price here is slightly more than Ten Noodle and with the difference, the portion here is also slightly bigger.

There are some side dishes for you to choose .

Here is my Omega Pork Noodle Soup and of course I add an egg. I add in all the spare parts and it is actually huge. Generous with ingredients and perhaps if you are really hungry, get one portion yourself. They have 2 sizes and mine is the regular. I cannot imagine the 1 in BIG! Starting from RM 9

Soup base is not as thick to my liking, however decent enough. I still like Ten Noodle over them. (individual preference) – however Ten noodle quality do drop compare to before MCO. To make it extra umph, I add on pork lard. Just too big and abit soggy. Can skip that next round.
what caught my attention more is their Nanyang White curry Mee starting from RM10.90. I order with vits noodle another additional RM 1 for this which I think can just sick to bee hoon and mee for my usual classic. I do like the soup base as it is slightly different from Penang white curry mee but the chili paste do make it a lot difference.

taste wise pretty spot on with its chili paste and just that on the saltier end side.

I would come here for their curry mee instead of pork noodle. 😀

Ten Noodle @ Kota Damansara

I have been here like at least once a week for 十面埋伏 Ten Noodle Restaurant. Regard them as one of the best Pork noodle in Kota Damansara.

They are also consider as the new kid on the block. As in a short span, they have gain their popularity among the working crowd in this area.

The best time to dine here is to avoid crazy lunch hour of 12.30pm – 2pm. But then the queue is quite fast as it will be less than 10 minuntes waiting time.

While you are waiting, you can actually browse through their menu and key in your order on the paper. Upon right before your table seating, then pass it to them to place order.

One of my favourite is to eat along with dry maggie mee or Koey teow and mee mix.

This is the soup version. For a bowl of Pork noodle at RM 7.50, we cant complain as it is pot with lots of ingredients in it. Quite generous.

Soup base is quite strong and the colour of soup says it all. Sweet and flavourful.

Ah Loy Sabah Pork Noodle @ Kota Damansara

Never know that nearby my office have such shop. Was recently introduce by my another friend that I should visit this Pork noodle place at Kota Damansara nearby my office. According to my friend, Ah Loy Sabah Pork Noodle is slightly different compare to any other pork noodle shop because it is Sabah version.

[update: 1/11/2018: They have move to new location at Kota Damansara CIMB – The Strand]

Apparently this shop have been operating in this area for quite a while and it is famous among all the working crowd. At time, if you come on the wrong timing, you could expect to wait at least 30-45 minutes.

This is my 4th visit here and I usually come before 12.30pm or after 2pm to avoid the crazy crowd.

Variety of noodle for you to pick from and their hakka noodle is the one to go after which is their signature noodle.

Usually my order is Koey Teow noodle till dicover this noodle and tried it. love the slight chewy texture and the dark soy sauce give it a little sweetness and pork lard to give the awesome flavour into it. Simple delicious meal.

On the soup base, pork is cook to perfection where it is not overcook that makes it hard, they cook it just right. Also in the soup they added some salted veggie that gives you a little punch of sourness that make it quite interesting flavour pork soup noodle profile. Look at the colour of the soup and you can judge by it they are cooking it for long hours to get such no clarify.

A simple meal for my lunch yet satisfying. Different compare to others as they have salted veggie in soup. Price per bowl ranges from RM 8 – RM 15 depending what you add on. Also they do have other side dish.

Recommended to order their dry version. As I always had my pork noodle in soupy version and find out that Ah Loy Sabah Pork Noodle best to have it in dry . Well, all my Sabah friends, need you guys to come try and let me know the authenticity of it.
