Porridge

Browsing
It was already quite late, and my friend came find met yet I was quite full that time. Then I kena drag out and eat around 12.30 am, then she brought me to this area to makan which is I am kinda surprise that, I always thought of the porridge always open on the opposite but never knew that, there is actually a Chicken Rice Shop, Restaurant Fei Por opened till quite late.

Now, manage to find a place to makan after drinking session.

RM22 (16)

RM22

Then I requested to seat in front cuz can see how the way he potong the chicken and a bright spot too for easy for picture taking.

RM22 (7)

The chili and garlic I find it quite nice.

RM22 (4)

Start off with white porridege which is a bit tateless but if you add on with garlic sesame oil it would be perfect as it is a bit in taste has the same structure as porridge.

RM22 (8)

Then comes the ‘Char Siew’ with the oily shinning gravy been shower upon, it surely ooks very good. A type which i prefer 7-% meats and 30% fats just that if the edge of the crust not that burn, it would taste good.

RM22 (11)

It looks juicy and tender but there is nothing to boast about except the crust of it.

RM22 (15)

I am not a big fan of chicken lover but my friend she mention she want to eat it, so order loh as for me, I can take only one piece cuz I find it a bit geli. The chicken meat is a bit overcook which make it a bit solid yet the soy sauce gravy pour to enhance the taste..

Total that we paid was around RM22 which I find it quite reasonable.. The best part is you went during you were sober or a bit drunk, this place is totally not recommended as the will take a big blade potong you kau kauz.!!!

For those who always wonders around late night, drunkyards, after club session or late night Karaoke this Kopitiam is usually flock with alot of people after 1.30am especially on weekends or public holiday(those those other state 1..)

I seldom will miss out this shop or even though miss, I will ta pauz go back makan.

‘Curry Mee’ is my hightime favourite in this shop even thought Hokkien Mee is the signature but still I never miss out Curry Mee. Filled with ‘Huek’ my fav and the soup is clear but I prefer it in……..

fiery red. Damm satisfying although its spicy. my highly Recommended! RM2.80

Followed by the kopitiam signature which is the ‘Hokkien Mee aka also prawn mee’ which you can add addtional side dish like extra prawns, pig spare part, egg, fish ball, this and that. I never really like this stall cause its over rated and also alot of outstation people spoil the pricing for this stall. Used to be very cheap but now, rangers from RM3-RM10 with the added on side order. The soup, many other stalls taste even better than this 1.

This my all time favourite ‘Porridge’ always add on with Salty duck egg. Wah lau…I am writting this and my stomach is drumming. Cannot tahan. Taste yourself to feel the kick’ness of it. Can side order the ‘Pak Cham Kai’ very smooth and nice. Price from RM3-RM15

Operating Time: 7pm-3am

It was early morning and we are quite hungry. Each of us were given a coupon each and I thought that its a buffet style. When we found a place to sit on the outside for the smokers to get their early fresh air that they needed then only realise that its ala cart. 14 sets of food to choose from. All Look about the same, so we go for their most heavy breakfast set they got.

‘Theow Chiu Porridge’

The most heavy breakfast they got ‘English Breakfast’.

‘Nasi Lemak set’ was nothing to shout on that the rice is not warm, the curry chicken is mild and thick with spicy powder flavour.

Heard alot about this street so I kidnap my bro to eat with me. Since has been a while didnt had dinner together. When I reach there, look as always busy hawker center area.

This is not my first visit here. Can consider couple of time already but it is the first time for my brother.

Been visit this for couple of times already and never seen this stall in a peaceful mode. As always there will be a que to hunt for chicken.(please think straight)

The pricing of the Fried Chicken.
What you can get from this stall!
Some of the spare part of chicken, below is the ‘Chicken Feet’ and upper part is the ‘Chicken Body’. I always wonder what do ppl buy the chicken body for? eat the crispy’ness?
No choice but have to buy 1 piece to put in my blog. Never a big fan of this stall as I never thought that it was very nice. The crispy’ness is there, yet quite salty all the time. The meat is nicely fried off as soft in the inside. To me I think it is overrated. RM3.50 for this.
Food rating 5.5/10 , Okay Lah~ -Stamped-
This stall also. ‘Char Koey Kak the uncle never stop goreng’ing. As always I go same like the chicken stall.Have to que but then it was fast. Just wait within 10 minutes.
Usually I like to eat with more tauge and also cut the koeh kak into smaller pieces. So that the taste can asorb it more.
This is what has came out. My bro complain not nice then I tried. So so only for today as not much taste. Quite pale. I think too many ppl that’s why QC abit out. Normally it is good.
RM 3.50 also
This I would say one of my favourite stall in the whole street. The Chuk is just so nice. You can mix and match yourself if you want. For me I usually take some spare part, century egg, chicken slice and duck egg.
The Chuk aka porridge is just so soft and boil into thickness. The taste is perfectly right for the whole bowl, of course for sick ppl, the best to get. My customade is RM5.50

For the first time I came to this area to eat then most of the stalls were close on that day. I remembered that this stall ‘Char Koey Teow was one of the nicest I ate so far and told my bro he must try.
Today, they had really make my bro and me dissapointed. It turns to be the worst of all. Too salty, no wok taste, the si ham also a few…can use finger point point point and count. Both of us only manage to finish half of it. Totally big difference from what I ate on the first time. NO QC eh….To me I never really like to order from this stall as it charged RM4.50 with no prawns. Which I rate it very expensive. In penang or some of the places in KL you will at least get 2 prawns.

Food rating 2/10 , DAMM BAD~ -Stamped-

The funny thing I always come to this stall as I don know how to read the chinese wordings and I always ask the auntie what she sells, then she tell me the whole list and I also still don know what is she talking about. Wanted to stare into the pot what she is selling but then failed cuz the pot is covered.

So this time the easiest for me 1 is I ordered ‘Mix’ every thing hantam in. So got quil egg, the rest of the ingredient don know what it is called in english but Hokkien I know..heee..(pai seh)

RM3 for this.

After all eating and 2 of us hantaming the food, so time to cool down our body heat with herbal tea. This stall full with ppl but I pity the auntie as she is the only person that do everything. Consider her one leg kick. Every time if I do pass by I would buy from her cuz pity her by her age. I bought 1 bottle of Herbal tea. RM3.50 for it.

When I was buying Herbal tea back my bro go ta pau Bak Chang’ back I did try before which is quite nice. At first my bro said that he wanted to get it as tomorrow breakfast. He bought the biggest one.

What had happen when reached home was he already open and start eating already. He said he still hungry. SIAU betul!!
