Was over on a weekend that I join KetchUp for their cafe hopping series at Bangsar. The four cafe that I check out on that day are Pulp, Roost, Hanbing and Ashley by Living Food.

What about Ketchup?

For the first stop, we head one of the earliest coffee trend where they have also make a huge impact in the coffee scene in KL is this :

PULP by Papa Palheta

Along in here also have learnt that they are specialize in specialty coffee along with an authorize distributor for a few well known coffee equipment and competition grade mugs and cups.

In this area, they are kind enough to offer you free sampling of single origins, where for you to identify on your taste palate.

We tried some of their new food menu along with their specialty single origins.

2. Roost at Bangsar

This is one of a restaurant that have made it into my list for next upcoming restaurant to try as I love their concept where they serve everything fresh from Farm to tables. This concept have been widely used by many chef in Australia and it is great to see now Malaysian scene is picking it up and of course there are challenges in sourcing them.

It is a space also well know to cater for private functions where then you gave them a budget and they can customize a special menu for you.

Cozy place to be and their food presentation is simple and nice. Quality of food where you can expect your mains is ranging from RM 17-RM80 which I think is quite reasonable. Finally, I have found the best Panna Cotta in KL where I got so influence by those chef in cooking and reality shows that panna cotta must be wobbly. It is so soft, slight creamy and fragrant. (a must try)

3. HanBing Korean Desserts

Hail all the way from Korea as this outlet is the first outlet to be operate in Malaysia where they have variety of Korean food and snacks that ready to be serve to your table.

4. Ashleys by Living Food

For healthy food option, I love Ashley’s concept on how they run this restaurant with alot of careful thoughts in it, where to cater healthy food for quite a niche market. Every ingredient that they use are all near premium qualities where to cook the flavours out along with chef special.

Their quinoa sushi rolls is awesome, where it is healthy yet get to enjoy Japanese taste in it. It is another restaurant that worth to explore as everything is made in that kitchen.

Hidden in between this luxury neighbourhood and industrial zone, there is one coffee which is well known by many. Pulp by Papa Palheta at Bangsar had made a big bang to many coffee craze out there with its mini industrial look and its nice built up.

Starting off as a lone ranger in the zone, yet the only little outpost building which is design and paint in a way to capture your attention, hence making them one of the hottest spot to visit as an instagrammer when the place first open its door. You can see that your feed is constantly being bombarded by those OOTD shots with its wordings behind. Very clever marketing and branding awareness.

For coffee lovers, or newbie that keen to try what is single origin – this section then provide you with some testers and they have key words profile description on the coffee on the pack as when you try it and you like it, they have their own blend and some are ready for you to take away.
