Samsung Galaxy S4 – Your Life Companion is now Available

The next big thing is in town. Those of you who seen my previous posting of preview on new Samsung is coming to town, (click here). Last Saturday, there is a series of road show going on, with some surprises as the sprung out of no where to make the whole scene alive.

What exactly am I talking about? I am talking about the new Samsung Galaxy S4 just launch in Malaysia last 27th April which is last Saturday. The event kick off at Sunway Pyramid with cheer leading and Marching Band ..

Lastly with their final stop at Low Yatt plaza that blast off  many shoppers in the area with fancy clowns, man on stilts that make the whole atmosphere  turn into Carnival theme.

Of course went to their nearest outlet to get my hands on S4 that much hype have stir up since last year, with even more fast & powerful unit to be roll out for the smartphone fans.

One cool thing about this phone is they have a tutorial guide included which fits perfect for a lazy person like me. Just click on the category and the program will bring you thru.

After much learning, scrolling and understand the features, it came down to 3 of the features that I like. First of all, is with this new features which I think is very cool.

Those of you who did watch Iron Man 3, I am sure you guys are impress with the technology being used in there. This is the same goes to me when I understand the technology on S4. Air View/Air Gesture surely catch my attention. Its a motion that can capture things without touching on your phone panel. Just go near with your palm or hand then it will direct capture on it. cool~

Recently I being influence by a friend on health tracker. Since then I did observe a few device on it then found out in S4 that this is the function that they have in it that makes it more interesting. S Health can track our habits with exercising, sleeping habit, food intake and many more. Now we can live a more healthy lifestyle.

Last but not least, I always need my phone camera to be top notch or at least clear. The camera function is supurb when I try out take a few shots at the outlet. The effect came by what you see is what you get. Not only that. It have dual shot function that enable us to shoot both ways by utilizing the front and back camera. See what this baby can do for you especially girls who love to camwhore.

Tony Roma in Sunway Pyramid had just reopen its door back to public not long ago, as they have revamp the whole outlet to new look. Not only that, with new outlet also comes with new menu with some new dishes to refresh your appetite.

Some of you may know that Tony Romas is famous for their ribs especially those who have visited Singapore and the outlet there would have been telling me non stop how good is that.

The taste of lamb is awesome that is well marinated, and grill to perfection that the meat just breaks easily and fats that comes along is quite even. Just that some of the ribs have more fats and overall, this dish is done pretty good with special sauce that the chef have created that make its another great dish to be hunt in the menu.

Puma Crossover Party (Old School vs New School) & Puma Finale Party tickets giveaway~

As some of you might have read on my previous posting on Puma Launches on Evolotion Suede took place at Blackbox Publika. This round it hit another new level with Old School vs New School. The revolutionary continues with with Crossover and Raising the Bar,  by organizing the first in-store silent DJ battle in Malaysia.

That is how the name ‘Crossover Party’ came about, and held Crossover outlet in Sunway Pyramid.

A silent disco or silent party may be new to Malaysians, but it has been a familiar scene in European countries. Instead of a speaker system, the music can only be heard through FM-transmitted wireless headphones worn by party guests. Anyone without the headphones will hear no music, offering the effect of a room full of people dancing to no music.

DJ H3 spinning on latest track . .

The PUMA silent DJ battle saw DJ Fuzz, a DJ that has been around since 1999, battling H3, a new and upcoming DJ that came about in 2009, to win over the audience. DJ Fuzz played his old school mix of hip-hop, top 40s, house, commercial, and reggaeton tunes, while H3 played his newer mix of dubstep and drum & bass. The event also saw Mio and Micwrecka, two hip-hop MCs battle it out, showing off their skills at what they do best.

As an extension to the Instagram contest that is currently going on, a pair of PUMA Suede and VIP passes to the finale party on the 5th of April 2013 were given out during the event to an attendee with the most interesting picture posted on Instagram with the hashtags specially coined for the campaign – #forthestreet, #MY, and @PUMA. Planet Popcorn from Taiwan

Wow . . how many new brands have you guys come across recently.? One of the brand that I often walk pass by when ever I was in Sunway Pyramid is this Planet Popcorn kiosk that located directly below TGV cinema have quite some fair bit of people are purchasing this product. At first glance, it doesnt look appealing to me until recently the open another kiosk at Mid Valley.

It was rather interesting that during on the day itself it was their first few days of opening and they were giving sampling away and learn with there are actually 8 flavours available. Then I ask what is the best flavour for a first timer for me to try. The friendly promoter bring me to one section that filled with all those 8 flavours and recommend me to try out.

Sea Weed .. .  loving it. .

Top 3 favourite that I like are:

1) Wasabi, See Weed and Cheese.

I would highly recommend these few flavors for first timers. Or maybe you can try out their other flavor if they do have tester.

Price wise is not that expensive or I would say reasonable for a big pack like that.

We can either buy this in a pack or in a huge tub, that mostly had been air tight.

The I enquire on a few other details and one of the owner over heard my questions and he came by to greet. We had a chat as I further learn the brand itself as it is actually from Taiwan. Cool, another new Taiwan line of products coming into Malaysia. How they come by this idea is that, popcorn is part of our life especially hitting onto the cinema’s, watching tv’s or some chatting away with friends you need something to munch, as these nibblers will be great to input further into our society.

Their pop corn seeds are improted directly from US with the effect of the shape is totally different more eye-pleasing, mushroom round hand-made. It is also manually roasted, it contains absolutely no preservatives, butter, trans fat and artificial flavorings.

This outlet would be their 8th outlet as they had started the brand since last year Oct and its pretty fast growing. I was like ‘Wow’ and further discover that its actually own by him and another 2 best friends. Friendly lad

There are currently eight Planet Popcorn outlets in the country, namely Sunway Pyramid, Berjaya Times Square, Pavilion, Setia City Mall, Paradigm Mall, The Mines, i-City and MidValley Megamall.

Well,I bought their starter pack with 6 flavours (Original, Curry, Wasabi, Cheese, Caramel and Curry) at RM 39.90 to try out more, as I love watching movies and now there is another option I can get for popcorn. . .

I find that cant compare this brand with Garrett as they are in different league, although Garrett is more premium taste much better  and much more expensive but to me, I can take only a few pieces from Garrett. I guess comes, again different people have different preference. Garrett is too LV for me . .

Pasta Zanmai @ Sunway Pyramid

I have heard a lot about this restaurant but never bother to go in, just do not know why. I thought it would be the same as Sushi Zanmai but I guess I was wrong (do not know whether it’s the same or not). Me and my friend was at Sunway and totally out of idea what to eat. Think of it, everything also about the same till my friend ask me what I want to eat and was up on the escalator then saw this place, which I have not dine before and good reviews from it.

As I have lost the receipt, and hopefully the name that I found is the same as the dish.

What caught my friend’s eyes was this tall fruit mock tail I would say, and looks good and known as ‘Heart Mix Fruit Juice’. A bit light in taste but the flavor of the mix fruit is there. Definitely will goes well with my food(in my thought)RM 12

Next which is this soup, I have been trying to order a lot of times at Sushi Zanmai but most of the time was finish or not available till not in the menu anymore. Then saw this, and it’s a must order for me. The strong miso soup taste is there that taste a bit sweet with the clamps that cook with it. Like it a lot~

As my friend is a egg lover, what she said was, the egg is just as good as it looks and as soft as baby’s skin. The soy sauce is not salty yet mild which is perfect.

All the things in the menu look so tempting, yet in the spaghetti section, white sauce is always my first section that I look into and also my favorite sauce. Then came across this dish ‘Kinoko Tori no Cream Sauce’ soft tender chicken that cook along with the mushroom with the creamy sauce is just something that I could not ask for more. Around RM19

‘Hotate to Kinoko no Mentaimayo Pizza’ (Grilled Scallop & Mushroom with spicy Cod Fish Roe, Mayonnaise on the Pizza). Gosh, the pizza was serve it smells so good and my friend’s hand was on the way there till I have to stop her from taking it. Then I kena say, fast fast take pic ler..want to eat already. Crispy thin layer of base crust and on with the topping is simply delicious. RM26

As my stomach on that day got a bit problem that I could not even digest the food from the afternoon, and did not really finish the meal for the first time and my friend she say me, yerrrr.. long long time eat once with you also cannot eat finish..heee. Then after that went back lau sai. Stomach need some system clearance after a while which is good for me.

Tutti Frutti @ Sunway Pyramid

Recently I went to Pyramid and meet up with Masako as she said she wanted to get a camera DSLR too and want me to follow her along. As on that morning went for food hunting at Klang and it was on the way so meet her up. After checking out a dummy camera at SenQ(if not mistaken) then I walk out and saw this shop, at first I thought the shop was selling refregirator but then I saw people walking out with something on their hand that can eat. So I walk over and kaypo abit only realise that it was a yougurt desert shop then only notice their brand name.

Never heard of the name before but never care and wanted to try, and after google it a bit and found out that this yogurt desert is from USA and a franchise around the world. Sunway Pyramid being their very first outlet and it will expand quite fast as this Franchise was recently purchase by NAZA group.

When I look back at this picture, I still think that from this side view witout looking at the counter it still look like a place selling refregirator..kekek
First step you will take a cup from the side area, ranging from small to big and then you will head to these machines to pump out your favourite choice of yogurt flavor or you can mix around. It feels like you are working inside the MacD kiosk ice cream counter.

7 flavours are available at the moment.

Masako pump out 3 flavours, Chocolate, Lychee and Original.
I love 3 of the flavours, very flavourful with its own taste and the yogurt is very soft and very strong yogurt taste which I like it and did not overpower the flavors of it. It will be only my one time experience as it will dig up a hole in your pocket.
Then you head to this very next counter for……………..

and you definately must guess how much is this cup of yogurt as Masako as us to guess it too. To my shoking price it cost RM20. For such a cup it will be the most expensive ice cream yogurt I ever eaten. How it is calculated as below:
10g for RM0.53

With that kind of price this are the size of the cup which is the medium cup.
and its not full too and both of them said that, luckily it was not me that took the ice cream. They really understand me well. If for me I will pull the ice creal till very high and add on alot of toppings as with my understanding how much will it cost only la.
Then we saw a malay family came in with 2 kids, 2 of their wife’s went to pull the ice cream too and they took a large cup each. They have the same thought like me, pulling it alot and high then top up with alot of toppings and then reach the cashier. 3 of us were very curious about the pricing and keep peeking on it and we start guessing, the same goes to the chinese couple sitting next to us, peeking at it too…
Their charges per cup was around RM39, they got shock on the pricing and ask their husband for extra money. 2 cups of frozen yougurt RM78… I believe its a good marketing strategy which is you cannot refund back the ice cream to them cuz you made it yourself and you have to pay for what you have done.
With their charges like that, I have to say that, they will be the most expensive yogurt desert that is even more expensive than Haegan Das and Baskin.
It sure taste good, but will return back when they change their price.
