It has been ages since last I came here, it was during my college here and used to hang out here for tea time as I was studying at Disted College during year 2001. Calculations come out around 8 years since last I visit this place. It was the ah pek Char koey Teow still the same person. Luckily was not closed. This place is what we called ‘Chiu Chang Ka‘, direct translation Under the Tree located at Pulau Tikus area.
This is the stall that stay at the same place for the past donkey years. One good thing about this stall is he uses charcoal to fried it is always better to those than using gas, fried by one plate at the time. The special about this uncle stall is he uses Duck egg, upon request. Must try it. Taste much better.
Tadaa, this is the uncle ‘Char Koey Teow with duck egg’. Have the wok taste, nicely fried and not too dry yet the si ham is alot, with chinese sausage and only RM3.50.After leaving Penang for not too long, and I ordered Teh O Ice, and guess how much is it, Only RM0.90. Wow, didnt know still exist with this kind of pricing and the funny thing is when the lady come and told me its RM0.90, then I like ‘Hah, 90cents ah’. she like yeah la, you come out from hutan or too long never come out eat already iziit. Lol..It has been long long time since pay for a drink less than RM1.
This place also famous for Economy bee hoon with fried popiah on top, unfortunately it was closed that day, or I do not know still exist or not.
