3 Movies Review: Battleship, Soul of Bread & We Not Naughty

Wow, just how fast time flies and its time of the year again for summer movie to kick off and Battleship is the first movie to start off the season and the show had been kick ass.

Its about human discover on another galaxy that like a earth discover and send a super high tech most expensive to be build satelite to discover on the planet and when we have discover other planet, they also discover back us and they also send their fleet to scout on us.

This is where the whole battle begins on the water of human and super high tech machines. A Great movie to watch and definately Battleship had kick the summer movie season a great start. Regard it as a 2nd best movie after Transformer~

Highly recommended to watch!

Genre: Romance/ Comedy

The soul of Bread is another movie from Taiwan which is from the director that film that successful movie Apple of my Eye. Comes this love comedy that a guy from local town that had been baking bread for this family and just fall in love with the daughter since long time ago. Till then a world famous baker had dissapear from stress and appear in this small town to look for his mom favourite bread.

From there love triangle happens, and this is what I believe it thru whenever the quote on FB appear, if you never cherish the girl you have, there definitely will be another guy appear to cherish her more.

This movie also speak alot of Taiwanese Hokkien and was not translate out, so me and my friend 2 of us laugh the most as if like we are the orang gila!

Not a bad movie to watch when you are free.

Genre: Family/ Comedy

Its about Singapore kids growing up on using the latest social plateform and how they create havoc for their parents in the modern society that full with complains and competition. None of them realize how their parents sacrifice for them until the kids went thru a few situation only realize.

I find that this movie is too long, that make it quite draggy. If it had been cut short for 20 minutes then should be a great movie as the total duration is 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Movie Review: One For the Money

A love comedy on one of the best selling book novel by Janet Evanovich that the role is played by Katherine Heigl. A movie on how she got jobless then went to her cousin to look for a filing job and end up to be a bounty hunter. She definately aim big on the big reward to go after which used to be her ex boyfriend. along the job, she found more clues, things turns ugly . .

In the end she got what she is hunting for and not a bad movie to watch afterall . .

Movie Review: John Carter, This Means War & the Devil Inside

Genre: Action/ Adventure/ Fantasy

I would say John Carter is another great fantasy movie, or another movie like Star Wars, that there is this guy that were so good in commanding an army and got devastated when lost wife and daughter in a fire blaze. Then his life direction had change where to hunt for gold mine. Half way thru, he found some what a person like god had a Mendelian that transported him to Mars.

There is where the whole adventure begins, with some creature like talking and some other character. I would say its a good movie and I have seen many good reviews encourage to watch in 3-D as I am considering to watch it in 3-D another round.

If you have a hectic week or stress week, looking forward to cheer you up, I guess this movie This Means War could cheer you up alot. A romance comedy flick that brings you alot of laughter on how 2 guys coincidentally going after a girl without them realizing.

the trick is may the best man win the girls heart.

Recommended movie to watch . .

Genre: Horror/ Thriller

Another movie flick that film using video recorder style. Pretty headache and something similiar like that Paranormal Activity style. AS this movie talk about body being posses.

In the end of the movie every one died. That’s all. Don bother watching and its pretty boring.

Movie Review: The Wedding Diary (结婚那件事) & Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance

Well, this is another new movie from Ah Niu that collaborate with Singapore and some Hong Kong Artist to make this film unique by itself.

A very simple movie that a guy married a rich man’s daughter without realising it and always in asian culture, during weddings some couples to have it over budget and how couples go thru it, with both side have to respect father and mother in laws.

A great movie to watch, as filled with family values and laughter along the way. Another great movie that involves local actor.

Another sequal from Ghost Rider that a human had made a deal with the demon in exchange for something as this how Nicholas Cage turn to ghost rider is that he made a deal with the demon to get his dad to recover in return to posses this power.

As the demon cannot stay long in a human body, so he find a new soul to move into and the church found out that the demon is doing something to the boy where he need to get the body. So the whole film is about getting the boy and protecting him.

This movie is so so  only as there are quite alot of part with special effect as its turn a comic into movie, so nothing special. Well, worth to watch during movie day or if you are looking to kill some time.

Movie Review: Viral Factor, Ah Beng The Movie : Three Wishes & All Wells End Wells 2012

Another action pack movie from Danta Lam that this round field 2 famous cast Nicholas Tze and Jay Chou in Viral Factor. A story that bring two of them together that since child they were both seperated as the mom bring Jay Chou off from the hard core gambling dad and left Nicholas Tze behind.

Since then, Jay Chou had become a cop and Nicholas Tze had become a bandit in Malaysia. A film that shot 70% in Kuala Lumpur that makes the whole scene pretty interesting. Never thought that this movie feature Malaysia so much.

A great action movie with great story line. Worth to watch and Recommended!!!

Another local production that feature back the same cast from MYfm which they have done their successful CNY movie for the past 2 years starting off with Tiger Woohoo and another movie I suddenly forgot the name.

Ah Beng the movie : 3 Wishes let us know family value and treasure what you have and improve it as health is the main factor. The guy was given 3 wishes and he wished, by wanted to see his child grow up, as he was in 30 years ahead of his year and found out that he had pass away when he saw his child and mom when crazy because of the impact of losing husband and house were in blaze.

Movie filled with laughter and touching moments. Another great production by them.

Another sequal of the following year from 2011 and now its 2012. A love comedy that feature some of the famous stars in Hong Kong that set this movie up. Not much CNY mood in this movie more like a love movie and I find it so so only.

Movie Review: The Rise of Planet of the Ape & Love is the Only Answer (cant)

Well, as I remember during the last Planet of the Apes that acted by Mark Wahlberg do not have any connection to this movie but well I assume its another brand new continuation to bring back this movie to another level.

The Rise of Planet of the Ape is about a research company trying to develop a cure for people with Alzheimer to make them more intelligent back and instead of testing on human, the tested it on chimps and the epic of it was failed on stage two and the Dr. decided to test it on his dad. Results proven right for the first few years then deteriorate badly after that because of human anti body and chimps have another types of antibody. Then they decided to make it more strong doze as where the smart chimps proven work had gather become tai lou and attack humans that on the way as they are back to the forest

At the end of the movie, there is a another short trailer and it seems no connection to it but I guess there will be part 2 of this movie.

Not a bad movie after all.. . .
